Darkness Falls Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Made you look. Seriously, though... whoever has seen the SM3 trailer knows there would be awesome sets. You think Lego will pick up the title again? Cause I couldn't live with Megabloks SM3 sets... O_o Now to go cry. For me, and for all those who came to this topic expecting prototypes. Quote
Darkness Falls Posted July 2, 2006 Author Posted July 2, 2006 Sooo... I'll take that as a "Yes, they'd be totally cool sets?" Quote
Dark_Avenger Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Actually, I didn't think the trailer showed enough to spur many set possibilities at all. The big one I'd love to see is the belltower (infamous scene where Spidey rips the symbiote off himself and Eddie Brock, in turn, gets it and becomes Venom). Other than that, not many interesting locations for LEGO. Maybe a longer trailer will change that. Quote
Clone comander Nodra 999 Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 OOO a little venom minifig would be so cute *wub* with a little minfig mouth with all those big teeth. also wed be geting a repainted green goblin and a sandman minifig. Quote
ReZourceman Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Sign me up! - Belltower - Generic building with Aerial attack w/ New Gobby Theres rumours of a five way battle in the film...that would be a cool set. Quote
oo7 Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 The batman licence is providing me with enough superhero sets right now. I like batman better than Spiderman anyway. Although he is better than Superman. LEGO also recently bought a Sponge Bob and Avatar licence so I think they have enough theme sets for a while. Sam- Mega blocks has a Marvel licence that includes Spiderman, The Fantastic 4, and X-men but nothing is specific to Spiderman 3. Quote
Starwars4J Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 You want venom? Take the spare black skull from Graveyard Duel, make a decal of the SP torso in clear, slap it on a black torso, and instant fig! Since Lego doesn't have the license... :'-( Quote
Deinonychus Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 I don't know about Megabloks... I know they have the licence for Marvel comic characters, but sometimes with licences the regular comic/show/book/etc. is a whole different deal then the movie licence. While I'll bet they probably have the movie licence by now, it's not a foregone conclusion. Even before when LEGO had Spider-Man 2 sets, there was another set of building blocks put out by a seperate company with some Marvel characters (including Spidey) on the shelves at the same time. I'll try to do some research and come up with a name here in a bit. That being said, I highly doubt LEGO would go there again. They seem to be cultivating a partnership with WB/DC and the Spider-Man sets didn't do that great at retail last time. I recently got the biggest $50 set from a closeout store for $20 myself. But as a fan I'd love to get as many LEGO superheroes as I could get. As it is I'm dreading the day when little Minifig Spidey, Goblin, and Ock make the trek across the room to meet up with Batman and his baddies ;-) EDIT - Here's those other Spidey building toys. Weren't easy to find by the way. They were called Xblocks and put out by a company called Popular Toys http://64.34.172.56/g/albums/Marvel/XBlock...rvelXBlocks.jpg Although some of the pieces in that Hulk set look halfway decent Quote
GravyTrain Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Last I heard Mega Bloks has the comics license while Lego has the movie license. Quote
Dino_Bot Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Yeah bring it on!!!I made my mini-city with mostly Spiderman sets!Im fond of my Bank. Quote
Pepper Roni Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Lego needs to make more made up themes like City, Rock raiders, and Lego Island. So no, we don't need spiderman 3 sets *sing* >:-) >:-) *yoda* Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Why not though? They had Spiderman and Spiderman 2 sets, so why not 3? -ZotS Quote
The Executive Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Spiderman 3 sets sound good to me, seeing I missed out on all the previous sets.A Sandman minifig would look cool along with a Venom fig. Quote
SWMAN Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 *wacko* No way. The spiderman sets could have been good, but trying to incorporate them with Legos grand idea of study sets (yeah right) made the sets really bad. It is too late for Spiderman. The second Movie legos kind of revieved it, but I believe it is a lost cause. Quote
oo7 Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Why not though? They had Spiderman and Spiderman 2 sets, so why not 3? Because now we have Batman instead! ;-) Quote
Vader Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Lego screwed the spidey line up more than any other, just take a look at the sets they made nearly all of them were horrible. Even though i would love somemore spidey figs theirs no way i would wanna see more crappy sets. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I liked Doc Ocks hideout. :-/ -ZotS Quote

Echo Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Nah. We all know that Batman owns Spidey any day. Quote
exo attack Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Only one thing owns spiderman and that's cabbage. But yeah, I would love spidey3 sets. Quote
Darkness Falls Posted January 20, 2007 Author Posted January 20, 2007 Nah. We all know that Batman owns Spidey any day. Quoted for absolute stupidity. I thought most of the SM2 Sets were good. Quote
SuvieD Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 I think most people have nothing better to say so they just complain. Like how people asked what sets could be done and most people replied none without giving it any thought. Does anyone know what will be in the movie yet? I don't like the spiderman theme much myself but that is because I only needed one spiderman figure. Once I have it why bother with the rest of them? Another thing that really bothered me was the flesh tones. I would have gotten a lot more sets if only they had the non-racial yellow color. I can see Spidey3 sets doing fairly well, especially if they put them in the $5-$30 range mostly. Quote
