Solscud007 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I was browsing thru this guy's brickshelf and found this neat Destroyer droid. A little over complicated but it can "roll up" into a ball. http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=215672 Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Pretty nice. Definitely too big for a minifig, though. Quote
Commander Keller Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 (edited) It is pretty cool. Too bad it has a little too much stuff going on. Edited April 11, 2011 by Commander Keller Quote
lefty Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 It looks like something the thread starter said, but also something else the thread starter said Please let's have our own opinions... I don't think it's too complicated. It's got many details I've seen on the movie droideka. It's a little big to be used to minifigs, if you're real anal about scale, but so were the two or three versions LEGO put out as well. I also am pretty sure I've seen this model a looooong time ago. I can't be sure it was this particular MOC or even how old this one is, but I'm definitely reminded strongly of something. There was another version in that same brickshelf gallery, which looked pretty good as well. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I don't know the builder's intention but I'd assume he made this not as a minifig-scale droideka but a functional model with the folding/rolling mechanism. And one great job he did on this one. Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 (edited) Oh wow that's cool! The legs do need a bit of work in my opinion. Edited April 12, 2011 by Masked Builder Quote
Cloney Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Fairly accurate, about as accurate as you can get. However the legs and face doesnt quite seem right to me, the face is always extremely hard to make. Doesnt the latest MTT's Destroyer Droid roll up as well though? Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Impressive destroyer droid, true it's no where near minifig scale. In someways, there is too much to it, but it needs the trimmings to show what it is. May the Sith brick be with you all ! Quote
