Posted April 13, 201113 yr I forgot I took these pics at San Diego Comic Con back in 2005. Does anyone know what happens to models like these? I wonder if they have something like this at SW Lego Land exhibit?

April 18, 201113 yr The Varszegi Venator I believe was auctioned online for charity. it must be the one of the most expensive LEGO auctions up-to-date then!
April 19, 201113 yr About $30,000. Yes, I remember seeing the official LEGO auction on Ebay. It did sell for close to $30K. I saw this in person at LEGOLand California Star Wars Days and it was quite impressive. Amazing model with lots of details.

Wasn't this the one where the buyer refused to pay as a bit fell off during transit and he tried to claim it was damaged artwork and thus worth less? There was some speculation that he had in fact bid a large amount he couldn't afford and thus was looking for any excuse not to pay.
