Solscud007 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 I posted this up in the minifig customization section but as I only care about SW Lego as my primary focus for modding or MOCing anything I thought I would share. This sort of only works well with those two figures. Blue pants are a little bit limiting in terms of color coordinating with other torsos. Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Cool! But what does the micro chip do? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Cool! But what does the micro chip do? It's a mass storage device where you could save files and various stuff. What's the capacity of this one, 2GB? Quote
Solscud007 Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) Yeah it is a 2gb flashdrive. I took a further look and i think I could "upgrade" this to 16gb. I will go get a 16GB mini USB drive, they cannot have the metal shroud around the USB connector, and see if the board is the same physical size. If it is, then you could swap out the 2gb for more space. Edited April 14, 2011 by Solscud007 Quote
LegoCityFanatic Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) Cool mod. Edited April 14, 2011 by LegoCityFanatic Quote
blksuperman2 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Wow, that's pretty cool. Did you make the chrome Jango helmet yourself? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Nice work. Although Jango's limbs are actually violet (at least the official minifig's), but it doesn't really matter. Did you make the chrome Jango helmet yourself? I think it's from the pen. Quote
blksuperman2 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I think it's from the pen. Oh, okay. thanks Quote
Ceroknight Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 that's really cool, it reminds me of the starkiller one I got from the collector's edition of Force Unleashed II Quote
Solscud007 Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) that's really cool, it reminds me of the starkiller one I got from the collector's edition of Force Unleashed II But wasn't the USB drive a deformed mimobot? It is not a Lego minifig. Edited April 14, 2011 by Solscud007 Quote
KimT Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Wow these are pretty nice. Good job - they look official You selling? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Buy wasn't the USB drive a deformed mimobot? It is not a Lego minifig. He just said this reminded him of that, not necessarily that what he was reminded of was a LEGO. Quote
Solscud007 Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 Wow these are pretty nice. Good job - they look official You selling? Sure just find me a gold chrome threepio or a printed Cloud city boba fett haha. The mod is so easy anyone can make one themselves. Quote
KimT Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 The mod is so easy anyone can make one themselves. Sure, if they just sold that USB minifig on S@H where I live Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 It's a waterslide decal right? Anyway it looks very official! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 It's a waterslide decal right? Anyway it looks very official! Huh? Everything here is an official part. Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Huh? Everything here is an official part. Oh. so your saying he ripped out the USB bit? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Oh. so your saying he ripped out the USB bit? I'm not sure what you're getting at here. He took a LEGO USB flash drive, separated the legs (with the drive inside) from the torso, and inserted it into a new torso. Quote

Mr Man Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 These look great Solscud007, you could also use these on Han, or a Bespin Guard or a Republic Officer/Pilot (7665), they are the only others with the same coloured legs. So you took the USB legs from the lego flashfig and just put them into the Mando and commando (hey that rhymes ) Quote
