Siegfried Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 A nameless member reported this to me; Eurobricks is not working for me. I try to post a new topic, everything below the "add attachment" bar is cut off so I can't post it. Topics don't load fully, so I only see the first one or two posts. I tried refreshing and even trying three different browsers (Firefox, IE, and Chrome) But it doesn't work... The member also says that it only affects EB, and logging out makes no difference. I'm just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue. I'm not so I'm not sure how to help as it all makes no sense to me. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Sometimes I get this when checking in on my iPod when I have a really bad Wi-Fi connection. Quote
Artanis I Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Before upgrading to Firefox 4, I would regularly (almost always) not have the entire page load. Usually this would just mean some or no images would load (and I'd have to one by one reload them) but sometimes only half the page would come up, and I'd have to refresh once or twice. (Still not all images would come up...) Not limited to but primarily experienced on Eurobricks. I have not had this problem in the last 2 weeks or so. A suggestion I have is to make sure you have a clean system & close any P2P software... Quote
Big Cam Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 This very much sound like the page timing out before completely loading, likely due to a very poor internet connection that times out frequently. If your signal is constantly connecting and reconnecting, the page will likely just stop. I've had this happen on super rare occasions when I'm hooked up to a wi fi connection that is so slow or the signal is so weak that I probably shouldn't even get a signal from it. I do not think this is site related, maybe eurobricks is heavier with pictures and code than the other sites he's loading. On a crappy connection something like google will almost always come up, even quickly since there is nothing to it, but once you start searching it slows down. Just one plausible explanation. Quote

As it turns out the member has told me the problem has went away. Quote
