The Epic Metal Gear REX Build!

Many months ago I stumbled upon Metal Gear REX on Brickshelf, and right then, I knew I had to have one for myself. Luckily a bunch of people put tonnes of effort into making not only a part list, but also a bunch of LDD files of the entire thing.

So for the last few months I've been slowly gatherign the needed parts, I have 18 Bricklink orders in shipping so I should be really getting to full steam for building in the next week or so.

In the mean time I managed to get this far before I ran into too many parts I'm still missing! xD

Wow that is one amazing build! It sure does look you're still a long ways to full completion, so good luck on this ambitious re-creation project!

Whelp, finally had more parts come in, so I was able to sit down for a bit to finish off teh Head and do the Body;

Next up is the Radome and hopefully if I get the 1x15 Beams I need the Railgun as well! Then the part I'm dreading the most, the Legs!

Man, Finally got some time to sit down and work on this, Got around to the Railgun, Radome and the Feet/Lower legs.

Its really started to get a bit big, having a hard time fitting all the parts on the shelf I've designated for it, it might have to conquer a shelf from my Gundam models! xD

Sat dopwn with this guy again, and it is not 98% complete, still missing some 2x2 tiles and 8 stud Technic Bricks in Light Bley, and some other random bits. On top of the fact I think there is an issue with the way I set up the hip joint pistons means I took these pics VERY quickly(and softly!) and broke it down a bit until I hear back from the Designer just to be safe. So in the meantime, enjoy these pics while I go do my victory dance.
