Decale Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 (edit: this was a joke, there is no problem with TLG, keep buying anything you want! ) Hi fellows, here's something I wanted to share. It would have deserved better photography and better MOCing, but the idea is quite clear: ATLANTIS TEAM VITAL FLUID EXTRACTOR (or how chrome parts are done) You thought those divers with cute lime green suits were kind scientists, hoping to help cure cancer or stop hunger in the world? NO! They are evil mercenaries who slaughter innocent creatures to make themselves rich! The shark warrior, hammerhead warrior and all their friends are very different from any other common fish: there is, in their body, a fluid with amazing properties. The Atlantis team quickly understood the profit they could make by using it to sell object a thousand times their price after having them chromed in their horrible machine. One creature is put into the extraction tank and dies slowly while the liquid comes out of his body and go through the machine to chrome 2 or 3 object. Then his body goes to the soup and another atlantis warrior is condemned. Am I the only who got shocked seeing the Atlantis movie? I mean, those guys (the humans) merely want to go to Atlantis to steal a treasure, and they get rid of every creature in their path to achieve it. (City of atlantis/living creatures/treasure, America/native-Americans/land, some other parallels could be made.) Is this what we want our children to grow up with? That's just something I had in mind. Quote
Big Cam Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I'm having trouble determining if you are being serious or not, I mean you obviously bought some. Your title is a little misleading if this is just to show your MOC. Quote
Decale Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 I'm having trouble determining if you are being serious or not, I mean you obviously bought some. Your title is a little misleading if this is just to show your MOC. You're right I just realized that. I should have added "MOC" in the title. And of course I'm not serious, It's not as if TLG killed baby seals to make bricks! I just wanted to share my opinion with other AFOLs through a quick made MOC. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 The title got me there, and I agree it could've been better worded, but oh well... Regarding the MOC, I like the way you built it, the conveyor belt showing the pre- and post- chromed parts is quite cleverly done. As far as the concept behind it is concerned, even if I know TLG is in no way anti-marine life, your build does reflect some real-world issues concerning marine life. (I, for one, am not in favor of marine animal cruelty that exist in our world like sharkfin/tail delicacies, using whales/dolphins/seals for entertainment, etc., but that is something to be discussed on another topic/forum). Decale Posted April 22, 2011 Author Posted April 22, 2011 You'll never stop me from buying Atlantis sets, never, never! Until you steal me wallet that is... Edit: 1111th post I have no intention to stop you, you produce great MOCs with this theme Congrats for your 1111th post! ...er.... please don't use misleading titles to gain attention. I've corrected the title. Oh, thank you very much Siegfried, that wasn't my intention at all. I was just looking for an... atmosphere I guess. Of course it didn't need to sound so serious Quote
