Flipz Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Kidding aside, I'm sure anyone can do it. Let's test that theory, shall we? Inspired by so many of yours... Bad News for Harry by Poochythegenius, on Flickr (And yes, I'm aware of HISHE, this one's in LEGO so it's better. ) Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Great one Flipz. That is the best LOTR line ever. Quote
Oky Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Now, when I said "get creative", I meant be creative, not copy HISHE. Quote
thomaslam2 Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 (edited) Haha, I really love that "You shall not pass!". That is my favorite line from LOTR. I got my LOTR sets yesterday, I will make some funny pictures with it later. Now, I have some HP and Avengers, Enjoy:D LEGO always makes the size wrong!!!! A line from A Very Potter Musical and it works perfectly on LEGO. Any help from Iron Man? Think that again. I always wanted to do this one:D Edited June 3, 2012 by thomaslam2 Quote
Sextant Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Nice job, thomaslam2. In general with these funnies, I think what amuses me the most are the ones that give a knowing, affectionate ribbing to LEGO's quirks, like the size comparison between Scabbers and Crookshanks above, or the re-using of elements in different licensed lines, or the liberties they have to take in scale and color and accuracy to make a model work. I have some ideas percolating myself, it'd be fun to give this a go. Quote
commodore_legolas Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 ^^ I had that same idea last night for Batman VS Iron Man! Quote
purpleparadox Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 ^^ I had that same idea last night for Batman VS Iron Man! Out of curiousity, which character was created first? Because they seem like copies of each other, changed just enough to not get sued. I'm guessing it was Batman first? Quote
commodore_legolas Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 ^ Do you mean to ask me or thomaslam2? Quote
purpleparadox Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 ^ Do you mean to ask me or thomaslam2? It doesn't really matter. I'm asking anybody who knows the answer. Quote

prateek Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 This could've been in the Photography thread, though I think one of the 'weapons' is quite funny for this thread. Welcome back! And a pair of pants is considered a weapon? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Welcome back! And a pair of pants is considered a weapon? Thanks! What would the Hulk be without his indestructible pants? Just an inside joke I got here. Quote
Vindicare Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Thanks! What would the Hulk be without his indestructible pants? Just an inside joke I got here. Welcome back Kiel! Ya know, I always wondered what was up with those pants... Every bit of clothing would rip under the stress, except those pants. thomaslam2, great comparison, very funny! Quote
thomaslam2 Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 (edited) It doesn't really matter. I'm asking anybody who knows the answer. Haha, Batman was created in 1939 and Iron Man 1963. Thanks! What would the Hulk be without his indestructible pants? Just an inside joke I got here. Nice, but I still think the most important item of Iron Man should be his Arc reactorXD Edited June 4, 2012 by thomaslam2 Quote
prateek Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 What would the Hulk be without his indestructible pants? I dunno, naked? Quote
riddler Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I dunno, naked? Ah! DO NOT, put that image in my head! Quote
Sextant Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 After putting all 34 decals on the Mines Of Moria set, this gag came to mind. (I didn't see a similar thread in the history forum, and LotR is still a licensed property, so I stuck it here.) It's not a mine, it's a sticker book by Bryce Napier, on Flickr Quote
KisKatona Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Great ones, guys! Okay, so I know that this isn't LEGO, but to anyone that saw the Avengers, when the Hulk just randomly punched Thor, who was reminded of this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETJf8hCrWxY Quote
