This is my -slightly larger than- minifig scale Citroën DS 20 1970. (Around 1:32).

This post is VERY photo-heavy, so have a little patience while the pics loads. If you are a car-nut, it will be worth it ;-)

First off, a classic two-colour combo;

Then the Break-version. The hardest one to do, and still far from perfect;

An almost standard red version. Very similar to the blue/white one;

A stylish black luxury version, with all the extras included;

Finally, a police-version;

Last photo, some details from the police-version (blue lights);

That´s all. I could continue to build more of them though. Anybody want to buy one?

WoW! Well done! Great job!

Could you make and post some instructions? :D

Thanks!

And Happy Easter!

Excellent work!

Those look just like the real thing!

I have an uncle that have a few DS's and I just love the design on those cars.

Here in Norway they go under the nickname "padda", that means "the turtle" because of the shape :)

Do you have any instructions / LDD-file / MLCad-file to share so the rest of us can build one?

Great job. I grew up with a dad who loved Citroëns, and we had a GS, a BX, a CX, and an XM - never a DS, though. You should do the limo version that de Gaulle had!

A little translation glitch there: Not turtle, but toad :)

Excellent creations 'Hoexbroe', I actually like the yellow and white wagon the most followed by the police car. :thumbup:

Keep up the great work and Brick On Drive On 'Hoexbroe' ! :grin:

Terrific work 'HoexBroe' :thumbup: Very realistic! Do the blue, yellow, and red actually role? I can never tell on MOCs with solid hubcaps. Keep up the great work!

Amazing collection of vintage cars Hoexbroe! I simply love the overall smoothness and sleek design and each of these beauts. Very effective use of those curved slopes and wedges and the classic wheel caps. Brilliant work on all of these! :thumbup:

Thanks (to all).

Well, I must admit, that the cars do NOT roll!

I think I have never made a minifig scaled vehicle that actually works.

Neither do they seat entire minifigs, open doors or anything. They are "just" static models. But boy, do they liven up a Lego City display! ;-) (See my "One BIG moc")

6 wide DS's that actually look very much like real DS's. Now that is an amazing feat. I really love your heavy use of "ninja tricks", especially above the rear wheels on the yellow one. It took me some time to figure out how you could make the rear wheel well without cheating.

Hej Lasse,

Tak for ordene!

I think that would depend on what you understand with "cheating". That the cars doesnt roll, is already cheating to me. Tu cut, glue or in any other way modify a brick would be unacceptable, and far beyond a mere cheat... Hehe... (Painting is allowed, though)

You can find a (somewhat dark) photo of the underside of the yellow car in my brickshelf folder! It might clear up some doubts for you...

Sensational! You've managed to model the unmodellable! The DS is so full of interesting curves that I doubt most builders would even know where to start!

Like 'Fonix' I love classic Citroens, although they lost their way once Peugeot took them over. Would love a DS in real life if money (and a convenient Citroen-loving mechanic allowed).

I heard of a guy once who took the gearbox out of a DS to put in a Citroen H Van (the ones that look like corrugated sheds on wheels) not realising that some Citroen engines revolve the opposite way to just about every other engine (typically French- being different just for the sake of it!). He ended up with 5 reverse gears and one forward!

Wow I am very very amazed with these cars. You have simply NAILED it. They look incredible

I'm not a great fan of this model, but the design is lovely!

I love the compact design, the rear indicators and the windscreen wiper! :classic:

Very nice assortment of different models! :thumbup:

Nice stuff.

These builds look quite convincing.

I have worked on the real DS, they are a great piece of car history!

Luckily the Lego versions aren't as sensitive to rust like the real one.
