Redcross Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 How can a Town builder utilise all those great Lego themes and animals collected over the years? Please check out my solution The Museum. For me this MOC is more about the interior Thanks for looking, comments welcome. Quote
streifen Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 you have some great minifigs in the "Villages/towns-in-a-Museum"! Huge nice museum and plenty of exhibits!! Quote
Captain Bayonet Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Great Museum!!! Your poster on the front are quite impressive, as are the exhibits... Especially the Egyptian one. I also love all the small details like the vending machine, and may I say a wonderful one at that! Keep on Brickin Redcross, you definitely have talent in this hobby. ~Bayonet Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Awesome museum for sure 'RedCross' Awesome job on the exterior but, the interior is to good for words. You really were able to build in tons of detail over numerous exhibits. Tough looking build; very well done. Keep up the great work Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Wonderful work! The details are great, my favorites are the animals, especially the polar bear and the ice hole. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Excellent Museum MOC Redcross! The external architecture might be conservatively-designed, but the huge picture banners are quite unique pieces of detailing that effectively offset the all-white color scheme. I also love how packed the interiors are with all the very nice and highly-detailed displays - you sure have maximized all your animals and historical figs very well. Fantastic work overall! Quote

mobricki Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 This is really well done. I like the Islander display a lot. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 My, my 'redcross' we have been busy ! An excellent museum with plenty to look at.....you gotta love that viking boat burial eh ? Keep up the cool work and Brick On 'redcross' ! Quote
-R8- Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 You know, this reminds me of Night at the Museum, only in LEGO! The banners on the front look very nice, a fun little tease as to what's inside. I like how it's designed so it can open up easily and expose the chock-full of detail interior. Beautiful integration of LEGO's themes yesterday and today. Quote

'Captain Bayonet', 'KielDaMan', '-R8-' commented on the banners. I thought you may be interested in how they were made. The banners were created uploading my photos into a cartoonize program then printing them onto a coloured t-shirt projects A4 transfer made by Avery, this is then ironed onto the fabric. Brig. Brick Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 wow, wonderful museum, can I have a tour? especially in the legend of Medusa, on the greek pabellon Quote
5150 Lego Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Why is this not front paged?? Possibly one of the best mocs i have seen! You manage to put so much detail in such small places. Fantastic! Very orignal as well. Can't say i have seen a museum moc before. Again great job! Hopefully the moderators see this and front page it for more to enjoy! Quote
BrickClimber Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 That's a real good idea to display the historic minifigs at this special place. And the many small extras are great! Quote
henryhotspurs Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 A stupendous idea rendered with unbelievable skill. If this isn't a masterwork I don't know what is! Congratulations! Quote
Michael S Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Wow, this is one of the most impressive MOCs I've ever seen. The detail in each little section is awesome, and the general insides just look like a musum. Your breaks between white, gray, and tan walls, the tall ceilings, even the lobby with soda machine - it's really perfect. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Wonderful details! The scene I like the most is Perseo with the head of Medusa and the statue! All is perfect, I love this great MOC! Quote
Brickimad Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 A nice touch is the smaller things, like the electrical switchroom and plantroom - a vital componant to any building, where lighting and power is concerned. talking of which, are you going to add little lights to the exhibits. I reckon Fiber-optic cables, would be a good idea, simulating spot lights. Quote

It is actually a model/exibit workshop the steering wheels form part of a compactor. Movable shelves to store everything from spare swords, replacement heads and I'm sure even an odd elephant tail. (yes;my compactor shelves do slide along) Thanks for your interest. Edited May 1, 2011 by Redcross Quote
