AllanSmith Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Great job. You need a Falcon in there somewhere though :) Or maybe a Falcon UTE :) Heres some Ford Falcons for you. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 Thanks 'AS' for the suggestion, might try and make a six wide....an XE Falcon in the used car area could be done. I'll look into it.....keep those suggestions comming in and keep on watching ! Quote
jonwil Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I would suggest something like maybe an AU falcon, every single Ford dealer I have gone past recently has had about 10 of them in their used car selection. Something more recent than an XE anyway. Quote

I'll look into the AU's design and see how I can build it out of Lego. Keep on watching ! Quote
Hoexbroe Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Interresting project! I love the slanted windows. Might "borrow" that idea one day... ;-) Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 Interresting project! I love the slanted windows. Might "borrow" that idea one day... ;-) Thank you 'Hoexbroe' for your comments and you may borrow any of my ideas you like. The slanted windows I must tell you all the truth...this MOC was a try out....to see if these windows work as I was going to use them for Art Deco Street....but in this case the Ford Dealer is more popular so I'll roll with this MOC for a while. Dam scratch-building 6 wides is not easy...but I'll get there. Keep on watching everyone ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 I'm still on the hunt for vehicles to make realistic out of Lego, maybe one of these ? Gee I have a choice eh ? Hopefully I'll have a vehicle in the yard or showroom floor by tomorrow night ! Suggestions are still welcome ! Quote
ACCURATEin Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I love the angled window frames. It adds a nice touch! Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 I love the angled window frames. It adds a nice touch! Thanks 'ACCURATEin', I'm very glad I chose this design it's being one of my own favorites ! Keep watching ! Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Great sign and stickers Lightning Tiger! I think it is going great so far. Quote
Legoless Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 That's coming on in leaps and bounds. Don't forget the coffee vending machine- essential equipment in the car seller's armoury. They like to offer the customer a scalding hot cup of coffee since that makes the customer feel 'obligated' towards the salesman, and the fact that it is very hot (so needs time to cool down) buys the salesman valuable time to pitch the customer. Man with a hat Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Wow, great showroom. The windows really make it perfect as others have mentioned before. I also like the area outside. It is very realistic. And since you asked: I think the supercab pickup would be great to see in the used cars area. I am looking forward to see it finished. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 Thanks 'Fuzzy', 'Legoless' and 'Man with a hat' for your kind words and suggestions ! Well, I'll be scratch-building vehicles today.....I'll try a simple cab-chassis first to see how it looks and that coffee machine idea....I like it, but I think it will be an old fashioned Cafe-Bar ! Keep on watching everyone ! Quote
Captain Bayonet Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Yes, the slanted windows are quite nice. As is the rest. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 28, 2011 Author Posted April 28, 2011 Thanks 'Captain Bayonet' for your kind comments, anyway quick update time again ! It didn't take long to design a coffee machine ! Comments etc., always welcome and keep on watching ! Quote
Captain Bayonet Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 (edited) Mind if I steal your Coffee Maker design? It's great!!! The rest of the interior looks great too. Just call me Bayonet. Keep the Brick Alive! ~Bayonet Edited April 28, 2011 by Captain Bayonet Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Nice update. I really like the coffee machine and definitely love the sloped signs on the top of the parts wall. Quote
stacker9000 Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Simply a FANTASTIC MOC, L.T., as with all your New Mannum buildings, incredible detail and overall design! Looking forward to more! Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 28, 2011 Author Posted April 28, 2011 Thanks 'stacker9000', 'Bayonet' and 'Fuzzy' for your great comments ! I might get time today to start on the cab chassis 4x2 Ranger, hopefully ! Keep on watching ! Oh, yeah....the coffee machine, should I post how to make instructions - let me know and I will ! Quote

I think I can figure it out from the image, but if I get stumped, instructions would be great. ~Bayonet Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 28, 2011 Author Posted April 28, 2011 No problems 'Bayonet', maybe what I should do is some of my mini creations I should redo and photograph step by step for everyone to copy and customise their way ! Any other suggestions are welcome, so keep on watching and suggesting ! Quote
gotoAndLego Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 (edited) A few of the vehicles I think you should have: a high performance Holden version of the american cars, one of those crazy six-wheel Utes you guys have, and maybe a used mad max interceptor police special. Edited April 28, 2011 by gotoAndLego Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 28, 2011 Author Posted April 28, 2011 Thanks for the suggestions 'gotoAndLego', but you committed a sin....a biggie too....never say Holden in a Ford Dealership ! An early eighties Falcon might be on the cards, along with that cab-chassis and small car (fingers crossed). I still have the service department and tractor yard to design yet, keep on watching ! Quote
TanTile Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 why dont you kill 2 birds with one stone/Brick and do a Ford XE ute? or a panel van? Quote
jonwil Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 A falcon UTE would look great and would be perfect for a country dealer... Quote
