Hey, now, don't roll your eyes - some of us are excited for this! At the very worst, it's more exciting than cars...

Spiderverse for the 3rd series apperantly :hmpf:

That’s an interesting choice considering there’s only so much variation in Spider-People costumes and the only thing stopping the Marvel Superheroes theme from being as Spider-Man focused as DC is Batman focused is the steady inundation of MCU movies that Disney presumably demands sets for.

Still, I can see them doing something with it. Movie Spider-Ham’s head is different enough from the Lego version that I could see them doing a new mold. And the actual sets rarely if ever include alternate heads and hairpieces for the Spider-People, but zombie hunter Spider-Man from the first Marvel CMF provides a precedent for doing it here, and I can see getting custom faces for the characters behind the masks being appealing for fans and collectors.

Big skip for me.  So I guess the January release will be it for me this year for CMFs.  More money to spend on other sets so that's not a bad thing.

Spiderverse? Ehhhh, I can see myself skipping this one, in all likelihood, unless there's some really amazing parts and characters. Hopefully, they will pleasantly surprise me.

If the designers are smart they’ll include Olivia Octavius. It’s a variation on the character that’s unlikely to show up in MCU projects anytime soon, and her transparent, organic looking tentacles are wildly different from the traditional Doc Oc arms – so she’d be a pretty unique character to offer.

And Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman is a key character in Across the Spiderverse while also being pregnant – and I know that a belly torso/attachment like that has been on some people’s wish lists for quite awhile. This definitely seems like a safer place to introduce a part like that then trying to do ‘generic pregnant lady’ in an unlicensed CMF.

Spider verse CMF seires don’t sound thrilling for me, honestly.  I might care for accessories and minifigure parts. But not the entire series itself.

Easy pass for me

Lets hope 2026 will be more promising because 2025 turned out to be a mess with the subpar S27, the F1 series and now this...

Honestly, I’m very exited about Seires 27 than F1 and Spidey series.

I'll be getting S27 but F1 & Spidey are a huge pass for me.  Not going down the rabbit hole of the Spidey ones just for accessories.  I did that with Marvel Series 2 & regretted it since there were maybe 3 or 4 figures I actually liked.  At least I only bought 1 full set of those at a discount.

Completely agree!!! There is a huge population of superhero fans out there!

I think they sell better in the USA maybe, here the local shop still have Marvel CMF in stock, CMF 25 for that matter, but the D&D are selling really well. So expect a future series with series 2 of that. I assume we can not expect any animals in the spiderverse? So will save a lot of money next year, with only a couple of figs from series 27 of interest

So instead of passing on F1 I'll be passing on Spiderman. No difference to me.

Yeah but most parents nowadays are getting away from things like lego for their kids.  Alot of stuff is more catered to phone, Ipads, tablets etc.  I would loved to see this stuff as a kid.  I just don't think this is going to sell as well as they think especially with kids these day.

I don't think that is true. Lots of kids do have electronic toys but LEGO still sells well. I sell quite a lot of City and Minecraft sets and I don't think those are going to adults. Whereas Star Wars, LOTR, larger Creator and Modulars, and most of the Technic I sell, I'm fairly sure they are going to adults or older teens.

And wheere is the huge population coming from exaclty? I ask becuase i know United States is FULL of Spidey and other superhero fans but i don’t think CMF would be sold in other countries.

What is that? *huh* Is it related to the spider-pig?

I could definitely see them using the new fluffy cat mold from CMF 27 for this, if it allows for enough decoration.

TBH while I'm not always the biggest fan of licensed CMFs, I do LOVE the Spider-Verse movies, and there's definitely plenty of characters to draw from in them (with very distinct visual designs even compared to the comics). If they offer a good mix of heroes, villains, and other characters I think there shouldn't be any issue with a lack of variety.

Plenty of adults have full on city displays and use city alot for their builds.  Also Minecraft has been around since 2011 and plenty of teenagers and young adults are into Minecraft.  I know so sells well but that's because the adults are buying the toys for their kids yes kids still like lego but now there are so many more options than when I was a kid that kids have so many things to choose from.  There are a lot of people on this site that have big city displays.  I know kids still like lego but it's not like it used to be.

Speaking of Looney Tunes characters…. It looks like there might be a Looney Tunes set next year?

Pictures I saw leaked a few days ago were a Tweety Bird as Cupid Statue with hearts & Flowers.  Photo is on reddit.

F1 series box leaked. Looks like 12 recolours of the exact same car. :hmpf:

Could've a been a cool little thing to make 3 or so of to have kids race against each other. But taking a CMF slot for 12 of them is laughable.

Like I've said before F1 is nowhere near the nebulous concept space is.

The theme sells well worldwide. And I know the UK has tonnes of superhero fans.

Welcome back, Lego racers

is it strange that, of the two series leaked so far, I only want one from each? Series 27 I just want the telescope kid, and F1 series, I just want the Mercedes

I cannot fathom the logic as to why these take the CMF slot, and why they aren't just their own side series like the Mario ones. They're not even minifigures - you know, the name of the series?! If they were on the side, I'm sure no one would really mind them - but they really feel out of place here (not to mention the fact they squander a usual CMF printing and mold budget - there's like, two printed tiles and one printed helmet for each one, and maybe the car chassis. Bad, bad call.
