I like them a lot more than expected! The only issue I have with them is that they should‘ve been a side series like Unikitty or Vidiyo. I‘m not saying it‘s a wasted slot, but I would‘ve prefered a „proper“ series in addition to this! Quote
BrickFit26 Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Interesting. They could have given. Minifigure with each F1 car though. Quote

There’s an upcoming 4+ set with two F-1 cars and two minifigures to go in them and its retail price will be $20. That’s $10 per car, twice as much as the CMF slot stealers. Quote
Lion King Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 (edited) Cars with no minifigures are big mistake for sure. It’s not CMF at all. Edited November 21, 2024 by Lion King Quote
RichardGoring Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 I really don't understand. The CMF cars don't really look satisfying, and it's generic helmets, with very poor quality cars. They look like Happy Meal toys. And it's not like they don't also have a $10 price point F1 car for most teams in City and a $27 price point cars for all teams with Speed Champions. Both of which look a lot better than these. A lot a lot. Even the Duplo ones, which are also for every team, look better! I'd believe you if you told me none of the design teams communicated and they were all surprised that other teams can't up with the same thing. If they needed to do a CMF, I cannot understand why they didn't use actual drivers. Maybe current teams, and two heads and helmets per box. Or past champions/greats. Or even mini helmet builds. They would all have been more interesting. I suppose individual licensing would have been an issue at that point. Oh well. Quote
williejm Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 It’s quite a surreal departure for the CMF line. Almost as surreal as Spidey-dinos. 2025 - Lego’s Fever Dream year Quote

Galidor, Town Jr, and Jack Stone say hello, and send warm regards from the nineties themes Belville, Roboriders and Znap! They've also killed a few good colors (Trans-brown, fluorescent shades) recently too... What Next!?! Quote

These don't look enticing at all, to the point that I just don't understand the rationale. I'm cool with things that aren't minifigures, but I just don't see what would be appealing about these to anyone. It looks like they don't even have face prints! Quote

Robert8 Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 2025 will be the first year with only 2 CMFs series since 2010 These are not part of the theme, they are just taking the may slot. The lack of the Minifigures logo clarifies that Quote

1Panda Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 (edited) I agree they should not take a CMF spot that is a tragedy and seeing that most people do not want these they’ll probably be discounted for a reasonable price and because I’m probably the only one here that actually likes them enough to buy them thats a win for me… but not much of a win as I’d still rather have series 28 instead Edited November 21, 2024 by 1Panda Quote
Classic_Spaceman Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 I actually do not hate these - Why do I not hate these?? The largest moulded element of the car seems to be chassis, and the rest of the models consist of colourful (often printed) parts; I also like the helmets, despite the fact that they are a single dual-moulded element (and therefore cannot accept standard visors). I am not going to buy tonnes of them, but I may scan a full set and a few of the more useful helmet colours. 1 hour ago, Robert8 said: These are not part of the theme, they are just taking the may slot. Roebuck Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 If kids do not love them, these will stay on shelf's forever Wonder what they will do with all the budget they save on these Quote
Accio Lego Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 2 minutes ago, Roebuck said: If kids do not love them, these will stay on shelf's forever That’s the thing – the only people getting a full series of these are the F-1 super fans on a budget that puts getting all the larger sets out of their reach. But most adults on a budget are probably just going to get the Speed Champions of their favorite team(s), and adults not on a budget will just get the Amazon bundle with all the Speed Champions for $270. For actual gifts, kids are going to favor the City and Speed Champions sets with actual minifigures or even things like pit crews. The 4+ set provides a pair of cars with minifigs for only $10 more than buying two of the blind boxes, so it’s not like this series is really providing cars at a price point that is significantly more affordable than other offerings. All the stores stocking these better be prepared to put them right at the registers, because they’re not going to sell them in significant numbers anywhere else. I’d say Lego shot themselves in the foot by not putting them out later in the year to market as cheap stocking stuffers, but let’s face it, there will still be plenty of boxes on shelves by Christmas of next year. Rwbricks Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 My initial reaction: “Ah, now, you do plan on having minifigures in your- in your minifigure series, right?” They’re not terrible, but they’re not great, either. I have minimal interest in F1, so maybe I’m just not the target market (unlike something like Spider-Verse, which I’m very excited for). I like the helmets, and the builds are interesting, but not interesting enough for me to get multiple. Also, it would have been nice if the heads underneath had different face prints, just something else to increase the appeal. Quote
Pop Star c o Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Well, if we are really getting only two CMF series in 2025, at least I hope that the Spider-verse CMF will have 24 minifigures. Quote

Lion King Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 That’s hilarious - F1 City and Speed Chamion sets have cars AND minifigures but not this “CM” series? It just doens’t make sense at all. Can’t they give us some cool minifigure like.F1 car costume fan, a tire wheel costume guy, F1 fan with a new banner mold, a fairy racer, a pirate racer, etc?!? F1 Series will be doomed…. Quote

It's not listed as Lego Minifigures on the packs like CMFs are though, it's Lego Formula 1.So it's like the Unikitty collectibles where there was no mention of minifigures either. Quote

Cutting it from 48 generic figures per year to 12 is a big part of what made me give up collecting them. Now I tend to buy multiples of one or two figures only. Quote
