We all know any celebration CMF will be a costume party series..........

Because they did so in the past, doesn´t have to mean they will do it again. I mean, sure it isn´t unlikely they would, but it isn´t really set to happen either.

Considering that the reception to the last two anniversary costume party CMF series has been largely negative (not regarding the actual figure designs, but the choice to do costumes over throwbacks), I would not be surprised if LEGO did something else for the upcoming anniversary.
Additionally, out last costume series was in 2022; considering that we got the Space Series 26 roughly one development-cycle later (which could be better (Blacktron II legs!!), but is still overall excellent), I think that LEGO may be listening to us.

I am ready for an X-Men CMF.

They absolutely need one, but I think that the best we can expect is a few X-Men characters in the next Marvel CMF series (whenever that happens). 🫤

We don’t know what next celebrate series could be - costumes or not - yet. But it’s best to lower our expectations when it comes to 50th annivesary series in 2028.

Im just glad that they gave us Classic Policeman and Knight of the Yellow Castle miniigures from two costume party series.

It’s quite interesting that we got brown Classic Spaceman from Series 24 last year and now we have Series 26 Space.

This year, we have Vampire Knight from Series 25. It has me wonder if we would see Castl-e-themed series next year? However, i feel it’s unlikely as we have Jungle Explorer and Galactic Bounty Hunter from Series 19 told us about nothing about the future. So maybe Vampire Knihgt tells us ntohing this time.

Anyways, I’m so ready for non-licensed series next year!

Why stop at space babies - why not have some knight babies or pirate babies too? Sure, that might mean new mold, but the space babies got new molds too...

Babies in different themes would of course be a smash hit. Lego may get around to it in a decade knowing how it goes. Different Castle theme babies would be the ultimate get. I'd be happy with just some cool little helmet moulds though

Agreed, i feel that blue and pink space babies are enough for me. I want to see babies in knight armor or pirate attire. Or even a dino costume. Or a baby figure is used as an actual fairy with wings attached to it.

While Space babys fit quite well, Knight babys don´t work that well for me honestly. Since well, you aren´t born as knight, because your father is one and surely it wouldn´t wear a helmet. For spacebabys it makes more sense, though honestly usually a baby wouldn´t be anywhere even in space where it would need a suit, but it is still a fun figure. Sure they could make a knight baby aswell just for fun, just seems less likely to me. But who knows.

What I would find kinda cool to get are a prince and princess baby, wearing a little crown.

Oh and I think it would be funny and cute if a baby dresses up as a gorilla and their parent in Empire State Building costume. I love @Robert8’s design, brilliant and funny!

On IG, TandnBricks hints toward Simpsons set? And he said there would be CMF Simpsons 3 next year. Nothing confirmed but just hints at the moment.

I doubt Simpsons 3... the second one sold so poorly they gave them away as additional extras with every purchases at my local Lego store just to get rid of them.

I also can't really imagine how it would look like. They need the core family available in their iconic standard outfits or it won't appeal to new customers. Making them interesting enough for old collectors at the same time will be a challenge. Maybe new legs with dual moulded shoes? That is pretty much the only possible upgrade I could come up with on the existing figures.  Would be enough for me to buy them, but I am a perfectionist and the Simpsons my favourite IP. There are not many possible cool special (and kid friendly) accessorys.

This has already been brought up in the Star Wars thread. TandNBricks said directly that "I never said Simpsons S3 is coming." So, I think this is a misread.

Could it be Toy Story?

Because of the clouds...

Also, in case this is indeed Simpsons S3 the whole family is a given. I'd say their Sunday Best outfits is the way to go

My wallet hopes it's Simpsons as I wouldn't buy it, thus saving me money for other LEGO.  My heart hopes it's something more of interest to me but that wouldn't be Toy Story either.

I'm in the exact same boat. There are far too many hotter irons Lego could use right now that reawaken a decade old theme that didn't sell super well (though if someone else really wants it, more power to you!)

Good idea! Or maybe it's Pixar in general...

Ashnflash pretty much perfected a Pixar CMF, so I'm gonna guess it would be something like that

I watched through those, and there are some good ideas in there - but I also don't see any of the Cars characters fitting in a CMF, or some of the other more non-human designs, so I don't fully agree with most of them. If the series were to be Pixar, I think the chances of each franchise would be roughly:

  • Toy Story: Unsure. They've been done a lot in pervious sets, and most of the characters that haven't been done (like the Potato Heads) have licensing issues. At the same time, Woody and Buzz are the poster children for Pixar, so I can't rule it out entirely.
  • A Bug's Life: Possible. It doesn't have a lot of lasting impact like the earlier films, but I think Flic or Hopper are certainly possible. They could also be some of the only "army builders" in the series.
  • Monsters Inc: Boo would be easily enough, but the titular monsters would need a lot of new molds and might not fit into a regular minifigure "template."
  • Finding Nemo: Maybe Darla? Probably skipped, though.
  • The Incredibles: Same boat as Toy Story, but it's been longer since those sets came out. I won't but any money one way or the other though...
  • Cars: Nope
  • Ratatouille: Linguini with a Remy accessory would be fantastic. You could even possibly do Skinner or Colette with the cookbook, but I'll lean towards Skinner so there's some villains.
  • WALL-E: I would love a minifig-scale WALL-E and EVE, but I think they would make more sense in a set with WALL-E's truck. So, probably a no.
  • Up: I guess you could do Muntz, and maybe Ellie? But we already got Carl and Russell with the house, so it's probably a no.
  • Brave: Merida's been requested for a long time, so this would easily be her best chance. Not sure who else would be best with her though...
  • Inside Out: We've gotten a few minidolls, but we could still get minifigs easily enough. Joy and Sadness would probably be the two they would start with.
  • The Good Dinosaur: This movie bombed, so I doubt Spot would get in.
  • Coco: Already represented in the Disney 100 series. They could maybe move to some lesser characters, but I doubt it.
  • Onward: It would probably work. You might even be able to get away with the Avatar head for Ian... Maybe. Barley would also probably be there.
  • Soul: Either the "soul" version, or the human version of Joe. Or both.
  • Luca: The sea monster forms would be more interesting, but, again, they could go either way.
  • Turning Red: Another one where the main character could potentially have two different forms? Yup!
  • Elemental: Ember and Wade are easy picks.
  • There's also a chance they could do something from Elio (out next June), or something from one of their shorts, but I don't think the chances of either of those are super high.

So, just looking through it, a possible series could include: Flic, Hopper, Boo, Linguini, Skinner, Merida, Joy, Sadness, Ian Barley, Joe, 22, Ember, Wade, and some variants from Soul, Luca, and Turning Red. It does lean a little bit towards more recent Pixar movies, but they could do some repeats/new variations if they wanted some of the older films. Either way, I think that there's enough logical, new minifigures they could use for a Pixar series, if that's what the hint is getting at.

Or I could just be off my rocker, and it's something else...
