Sesame Street would be awesome. I need the Count. Muppets… not sure, how to full a whole series. DarrellBricker Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 I have a WHOLE list of DC characters who NEED to be made into minifigures. it is beyond frustrating that they have pretty much relegated the rest of the DC Universe into the dustbin to focus solely on Batman. I get it, he's popular and a money maker but enough already! Zatanna, Vixen, Guy Gardner Green Lantern, Dr. Fate, a less cartoony version of Raven, Wonder Girl/Donna Troy, Aqualad/Tempest, Speedy, Fire, Ice, Ted Kord Blue Beetle and Booster Gold, Power Girl, Elongated Man, Red Tornado, John Constantine, Deadman ... I mean, literally the list could go on and on with simply Justice League heroes, not to mention villains and heroes from other teams and solo heroes. I'd definitely be up for a Series 2 DC ... I am just not very hopeful it will ever happen. Quote

If lego did make a DC CMF 2 it would have its best chance at being next year because Superman will be the most notable Superhero film being released. And it’s supposed to kickstart a wider DC cinematic universe. Edited June 3, 2024 by CloneCommando99 Quote

That's if everything goes well and they don't do reshoots, etc. We will have to see what James Gunn does with this and from the shot of Superman that was released I'm not to impressed with the visuals right now. Why make a visual like that if you aren't trying to show something? It makes no sense and looks drab and gloomy. They've already went that way with Superman. One of these days we may get a comic accurate version of Superman but I don't think Gunn is going to bring this or DC out of it's funk. One foolish decision does not make you a fool. You are, as far as I know, not a fool. I'm just saying don't count your chickens before they hatch. I will admit that I'm cautious optimistic about Gunn's DCU. At very least I doubt it will repeat the drab and gloomy look and storytelling of Synder's DCEU. It does help my optimism that I've liked almost every James Gunn production I've seen, from Scooby Doo to Peacemaker to GotG. Quote

It does help my optimism that I've liked almost every James Gunn production I've seen, from Scooby Doo to Peacemaker to GotG. It's all good. I'm just not convinced with anything anymore. Marvel and STar Wars has been destroyed by Disney. Tolkien has been trashed by Amazon. GOT ended horribly. Willow was also ruined by Disney. Masters of the Universe was messed up by Kevin Smith. The Witcher season 3 was an absolute disaster. WOT has all but destroyed Robert Jordan's works. HOTD was really good. Shogun has been good so far still not finished. The Boys I have enjoyed so far. I haven't enjoyed much of marvel since Endgame. I haven't watched Guardians 3 yet. My kids have even given up on Star Wars and Marvel. I'm hoping Gunn can deliver but I know that studio's can have a bad influence like with Peter Jackson's the Hobbit trilogy while I enjoyed it for what it was it was not good. I was so excited when I heard about WOT, ROP, Witcher, Willow. I thought this was going to be the golden age of Fantasy but so far everything has bad writing, acting, or obvious jabs at the original authors and trying to destroy what they created. It's just been unfortunate to see all these amazing properties being disrespected and used for peoples own personal gain instead of celebrating and growing those IP's. I know it's just one image but it's our first impression and I found it odd to say the least. Hoping it's good, looking forward to further shots from the Superman movie but I'm keeping my expectations low. Quote

1Panda Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 I’d also like to see them take another crack at Pirates of the Caribbean if they actually do make another movie with Jonny Depp, mostly because I only want to spend $5 on a Davy Jones figure instead of $100. Quote

I am just not very hopeful it will ever happen. Completely feel this. I love the DC Universe and feel this pain. Hot take though, most of those characters should ideally be made in sets, with the CMF series providing variants for these characters. The fact that we have to hope to get only one variant of Speedy, knowing he'd likely never be produced again, is kind of a bummer in and of itself. The bar is so low for that theme lol. For example, Hawkeye, Wolverine, Storm, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, and Starlord/Tchalla were variants in their respective CMF Series. With DC, we should ideally have the same thing happening. But it is what it is, I guess. All I'm gonna say is it's overdue we got a Basketball player and we really need to get more unlicensed Power Rangers. That Red Ranger in Series 19 left me wanting more. Did they get a cease and desist? Is a conflicting Power Rangers line on the horizon? Why haven't we got a blue or green ranger since Series 19? And when will the Series 7 Bride get her groom? Did he dump her at the altar? How rude. Quote

I think the issue with a groom minifig would be what makes it worth putting in a cmf? Lego has done plenty of tuxedo torsos over the years, so what could the designers do to make customers feel like they’re getting their money’s worth with him? Especially since the groom doesn’t carry an accessory like the bride typically does. The only way I could see it being worthwhile is if they did some new parts specifically for a wedding cake accessory, but even then it’s been so long since series 7 that it’s more likely we’d just see a remake of the bride. I completely disagree. Lego has never made a tiffany box, or a ring with diamond. We can get one or both with a groom figure. A small box to carry the ring mould, a new ring with a diamond attached that fits over a figures hand. We could also get a new leg piece for a figure on one knee, to represent the moment he pops the question. From the 1 knee stance, the ring mould, or the mould for the box in which the ring is carried, he could absolutely be made CMF worthy. Also, lets not pretend like we didn’t get a farm girl who’s only CMF worthy quality was her foal, or a regular city boy who’s only exciting trait was a violin, we’ve gotten boring normal figures before. But with a new ring mould, a new mould for the ring box, or potentially also a new mould for the legs, there are surely ways to make him exciting. Plus we could get one face with teary eyes showing excitement for the moment he hears yes, and an alt kissy face for the moment they get married. I don’t think we’ve yet gotten a male kissy face? And besides the princess CMF I don’t think we’ve even gotten many if any girls with that face. Quote

No I agree with cosmic. I thin its worthy for a groom minifigure show up in CMF series. A ring with diamond sonds really nice as we have seen a plain ring for a decade. also i think they could design a completely new tuxedo - a new color and style… I have seen some grooms wore simple vests or jackets over vests. I have seen some colorful bows (red wine color) against navy tuxedo / vest. How about….a dual-printed head? One with a broad smile and one with a cake smear on (when bride threw it on grooom’s face)! 3 minutes ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Since when is TLG shying away from guns, especially in cartoony or fantasy settings? CloneCommando99 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 You know, it would be kinda cool if they did an Aardman CMF series with characters from: Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run, Pirates and Scientists, Early Man, Flushed Away and Shawn the Sheep. I bring this up because I just saw the teaser for this Christmas’s Wallace and Gromit film and, since I am British, it’s got me hyped. Quote
