Since when is TLG shying away from guns, especially in cartoony or fantasy settings? We even had CMF figures with guns before, like the two cowboys or the highwayman!

You know what, that's completely fair considering that Looney Tunes is THE king of cartoony settings. Besides, an Elmer figure could be a neat way of getting a shotgun piece without it being too realistic

No I agree with cosmic.  I thin its worthy for a groom minifigure show up in CMF series. A ring with diamond sonds really nice as we have seen a plain ring for a decade.

also i think they could design a completely new tuxedo - a new color and style… I have seen some grooms wore simple vests or jackets over vests. I have seen some colorful bows (red wine color) against navy tuxedo / vest.

How about….a dual-printed head? One with a broad smile and one with a cake smear on (when bride threw it on grooom’s face)!

But they are not the recent series. Only i see buildable guns/blasters for sci-fi minifigures.

Yes! But even if he had a white or black tuxedo, it is almost unheard of to get arm printing for figures with tuxedos, but in a CMF we can get the printed sleeves and buttons that nearly all tuxedos have. From the rare arm detailing, to the new ring with diamond mould, to the potential new mould for the legs on one knee, he could absolutely be made to be very unique. As  you said, we could also get him with cake on his face, or a smoochy kissy face for the moment he says I do. He could absolutely be made to be unique. My point of reference is Gollum from Lotr, he is one single mould, with his legs being on one knee. if we just get the legs on one knee, like the lower half of Gollum, that would be epic. Imagine a new leg mould, new ring mould, and exclusive face print with arm printing? That sounds much more exciting than half of Series 19 imo, lol.

I actually had a thought about an entire line for this.

  • Flower Girl -  Mid sized legs, potentially new basket mould, and a bouquet of flowers
  • Ring Boy - If the groom only introduces the new ring mould and new leg mould, the ring boy can introduce the new ring box mould in which said ring can fit inside of The figure itself may be rather plain, but provides an opportunity for the ring box to be introduced
  • Bridesmaid - New hair piece is certainly an opportunity here, but a chance to get a gorgeous dress piece is also very exciting. Hope its more understated and not too busy with the details, though

Of course these are just my opinions, but I'd love to see it

Do you remember the invasion From Below Hero Factory sets? Do you also remember the mini fig scaled Bionicle sets? I would love to get mini fig scaled Bionicle figures in a CMF line. Getting a figure scaled Tahu in a CMF is a dream of mine. Gali is also a personal favorite.

Then we also have the long awaited Basketball player.

We also have yet to get Hermes or Hades in a CMF! Hades should come with a bident, a new beard mould, and either the cap of invisibility, the cornucopia, or both. Hermes can have the cap of invisibility as well, but given he typically is depicted with shorter hair than Hades, I don't think they should share the same mould.

Now having said that, imagine a CMF with a new color for a fairy, preferably yellow or red, Hermes, a basketball player, Tahu, a blue unlicensed Power Ranger, the Groom and a Bridesmaid, a Taco Suit guy, a juggler, and a Blacktron soldier..... I would throw money at that.

@Robert8 had a Ring Bearer in one of his proposed CMF series...a little boy with two rings on a pillow. I think besides the bouquet/basket, a Flower Girl would have to come with round 1 x 1 tiles to represent the petals she scatters as she goes.

Of course, any "wedding party" theme is going to get a wee bit sticky when it comes to one of the central players: the officiator. TLG just isn't going to make a minifigure of any real-world religious official. Of course many, many weddings are conducted by civic officials instead, but that's going to be dissatisfying for anyone who would want a religious officiator.

I am not sure how can ring fix in a tiny box like 1x1? I remember there. Is 1x2 box piece from Harry Potter theme ‘s Diagon Alley set so I need to test my ring in that box. I agree with Karalora that a pillow would be very nice for Ring Bearer minifigure in order to bring two rings.   And a new basket for Flower Girl sounds lovely.

Cosmic, oh yes I rmemeber THAT minfigure-scale onicle! I think it woul be great for CMF just to delight Bionicle fans like us!

let’s not forget that there is the Flash from DC Comic Series -  he comes with that useful helmet with wings on it. Perfect for Hermes. Flying Warrior’s massive helmet is not so Hermes. I am not sure how likey they could reuse that Flash’s helmet for Hermes since it’s IP-locked? I think Hades could come with a small Cerebeus but I agree with you on a cap of invisibility.

The CMF. Judge says hello.

And there is a marriages couple at Modular Building Colleciton’s Town Hall.

The thing with Elmer is that IIRC WB themselves have moved away from the character (or at least from the character as someone who uses a gun). Same with Yosemite Sam and his 6-shooters I believe.

The CMF Judge sure doesn't look like someone people would want conducting their wedding. Couldn't he at least try to smile?

The City Hall set has a just-wedded (or about-to-be-wedded) couple, but does not appear to directly depict the ceremony. No other member of the wedding party seems to be present. That set isn't about the wedding; the couple is included as an example of something you might see at City Hall on a given day. I think in a set or CMF wave focusing on depicting an actual wedding ceremony, with all the participants, it would be weird to leave out the officiant. And there's no way TLG is going to create a minifig who is obviously a member of the clergy, so they would make it a secular official--a judge, or maybe a city clerk with some picturesque stole or badge of office they can wear while conducting ceremonies.

And some people would inevitably grumble about it. It's not an absolute barrier, but it's probably a factor whenever the company considers a product that depicts a wedding of any sort.

Well yeah but you are only  speaking oivic officials rather than religious ones.  Or at least a celebrity performing a marriage ceremony? Or a famous sportsman? I have been seeing some marriage ceremonies with different officiator. It’s no point for TLG to produce a minifigure like officiator, ya know?

That’s fair. Since there is no Courthouse for private marriage ceremony at the momenf as i read Modular fans’ comments sometimes ago. Town Hall is “considered” as a wedding venue for private ceremony. As gay marriage was legalized, I have seen some gay couples getting married at city hall or courthouse or some wherever.  It would be fun to have a wedding venue inside a restaurant! (Seriously, my dad got re-married right inside restaurant).

I agre - they wont’ do a clergy minifigure for sure. Or even a modular religious site.

Speaking of marriage, I need Hera minifigure!

Hey, that gives me an idea - A CMF series based on Greek mythology. Could be an awesome way to fill in the gaps and give us characters to fill our pantheon. Aphrodite, Artemis, Hestia, Hera, Demeter, Hermes, Ares, Dionysius, Apollo, Hephaestus, Hades, Perseus, Heracles, Theseus, Odysseus, a Siren, The Fates, a Fury ... the list could go on and on.

Or if "Greek Mythology" is too specific, how about a World Mythology series - Norse, Celtic, Native American, Japanese, Chinese, African, Indian, Slavic - every culture has some fascinating folklore, Gods, Goddesses and monsters and heroes? I'd be all over that in a heartbeat!

I absoutely love your idea! I rally need CMF series that base off different mythologies! I’m surprised that the never gave us Norse, Egyptian, Celtric and other deities but only a few of Greek minifigures  We got Centuar, Medusa, harpy from Greek myth so far. Come on, TLG, just give us some more fantasy/mytholical creatures and deities already!

I wish that TLG could give us a proper big-fig for Minotaur but it won’t happen when it comes to CMF, sadly . Minotaur in a minifigure form looks kinda funny next to others.

Greek or even World mythology would both be pretty epic.

We seem to usually know the next CMF by the time the current ones releases, if I remember correctly. So hopefully we'll know more by the time we have official HD pics of the D&D series (which might just well become my favourite series when it releases, I'm very excited for it)

Me too! Besides the delight of LEGO D&D on its own, it promises to provide interesting parts for other fantasy-themed minifigures and scenarios.

That would be one month before DnD Series’ release. So I would say we would see offical picture of DnD Series by late July or early August.

I’m not familiar with D&D stuff myself but I’m very interested in few accessories / parts, such as dragon, rat, sword, etc. I. Can’t wait to get a few minifigures .

Eagle man, Orange demon with pet dragon and Dragon paladin are the must-haves for me (I don't know D&D lore, I'm just picking them up cuz they have cool designs)

Okay, how about this idea for a themed CMF:

Demolition Dummy series, just the Demolition Dummy 12 times over.

I'd be all over that

That could be semi-interesting if one was intact and the rest all had different kinds of damage. It would be a way for us to get minifigure partial limbs - they’ve been really upping the inclusivity with prosthetics, but I don’t think they’ve done a Minifigure disabled that way without a prosthesis the way the Friends line has with that one new character yet (although a certain licensed theme might have the opportunity in their upcoming waves).

Which one? :classic: The characters I can think of either immediately get prosthetic limbs (Anakin, Luke, Wormtail, Bucky) or they die (Dooku, Gothmog, Vic & Ken from JW). I must be overlooking someone

Trying to keep spoilers to a minimum since it just came out, but the teaser hook for at the end of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory shows that a character has lost an arm. They’ll definitely feature in the future of the show (season two is already slated for this fall) and Chaos Theory just got a whole wave of sets that didn’t even insist on shoehorning in movie characters like the Camp Cretaceous ones did (probably because Chaos Theory is the only new content the Jurassic franchise is currently producing), so I’m pretty sure we’ll see the character in future sets - the only question is if they’ll acquire a prosthetic before then (I think there’s a good chance they won’t because they just don’t have the resources to).

Slight correction: Series 1 was in 2010. So it's been 14 years, not 24... even though it may feel like it's been longer!

I agree that the lack of a specific 'Bridegroom' figure feels odd, given we have CMFs for virtually every other major life stage. Yes, it would be challenging for the designers to make the figure feel special, but I trust they are up to the task! As you suggest, it might result in the most detailed tux print ever, complete with elaborate boutonniere, as well as arm and leg printing. A new 'kneeling leg' mold would be a game changer. :oh:

A mythology/fantasy themed series would be a personal dream come true! Other possibilities for future themed series could be a 'world history' series (i.e. a collection of CMFs inspired by classical antiquity, non-fantasy medieval, and early modern world history); an animal costume series; and an 'global culture' series (with CMFs in various national dress), a 'world of work' series (a Lego City-compatible series based on iconic jobs/professions - this might involve revisiting some figures from past CMF series).

Yeah, that's the problem with the themed series. If you're into it you're into it, if you're not you're not . Mixed series with more of a mix are more likely to have have something for everyone.

Yeah, It might! However, I have faith in the designers capacity to surprise us (the Series 24 Potter is a good recent example of a well designed figure wearing protective clothing).

My point is that City minifigures are the single largest reoccurring sub theme across past CMF series, so its reasonable to expect that these could get a dedicated series at some point. Sure its not the most exciting, but I expect it would be popular kids.
