DarrellBricker Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 Personally, I wouldn't call the Nutcracker and Sugar Plum Fairy as counterparts of one another. They are from the same story, yes, but it's not like they're the same archetype. That being said, I'd love to see some more counterparts, like a well-designed male fairy or a Warlock with green skin like the Witch as well as a Ms. Gold as long as they didn't make her a limited edition. Pop Star c o Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 Let's be honest, the most missing counterparts are Male Cheerleader and Female Clown. Quote

Even if she has dual-printed face and new facial face prints / facial expression. I jsut like @Robert8’s design of Mime Girl form his ideas for CMFs. Quote

I just think that a barrette hat+hair would be better to introduce in, say, a Parisian fashionista character, with said new part, a double sided mime head, and matching torso all included in BaM towers at a later date. VinnieCannoli Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Is there a DnD cmf topic yet? So much to discuss and share ideas and experience. Quote

BrickBob Studpants Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 The F1 series apparently won‘t feature full minifigs, only heads and helmets on buildable cars. …there we go, the debate about which CMF series is the worst has finally been settled!! I seriously hope there‘s a(nother) licensed series next year to make up for whatever this is. Quote
icm Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Xalax racers (8 pieces each) were $3 in 2001, which is $5.32 today. The little Drome pullback racers without full minifigs (~25 pieces) were $4 in 2003, which is $6.84 today. So with the CMF price point at $5 for 5-16 pieces, this sounds very much like Xalax G2. karrit Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Definitely won't be getting the F1 series. More $ to spend on other stuff. Now to go out hunting the D&D series to pick up a few extras beyond the 3 full sets I already ordered and am impatiently waiting for. Quote
JohnTPT17 Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Ewwww........ Like, you've got to be joking, right, Lego? This is supposed to be a minifigure series. People have been begging for Animal Crossing, or Fortnite, or more Disney or Marvel, even just another normal CMF wave, but this is what you want to do?! Even when Mario wanted to do it's own thing, it didn't clog up the CMF slate. So, why are you doing this? The car polybags (which have a bigger part count, and everyone knows exactly what they are) never sell out near me. That series is going to be a complete and utter joke, especially after two very popular series. I used to think Simpsons Series 2 was the worst, but at least that gave me a torso I could use for my knock off Velma. Maybe if one of the cars looks cool I'll get it, but I think this will be an extremely easy pass. At the very least, I'm glad that this series didn't come out this year. I think the barcode scanning has lead to more overall sales and more buyer satisfaction, and the sales this year probably reflect that. If F1 came out to test the new codes, Lego could have taken the wrong message and said "well, these aren't selling, so the codes aren't worth printing." Absolutely awful call all around. Oh - I suppose that also means that the January wave will be a normal, unlicensed series, since it'd be odd to have three licensed series in a row. Too early to start a wishlist thread? Quote
lifeinplastic Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Yeah - this is an awful idea (if true). It doesn't even sound good for people who like Formula One! Hopefully just a side thing and won't replace a regular series of actually good proper minifigures. Quote
Lion King Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Just….head and helmet along with buildable car??? That’s a worst CMF series we about to have! Quote
FinlayTheFaithful Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 I mean, it's something creative but I don't think that makes it automatically good, hopefully the next licensed CMF won't let us down Quote
Yperio_Bricks Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Yikes, horrible idea for a CMF. These small builds are something for an advent calendar, Lego city magazine or a polybag and they totally miss the point of a CMF series. Quote
karrit Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 (edited) Hopefully this is just a random additional series that doesn't take up a normal CMF slot since it's being released in April. Isn't the normal CMF release schedule January, May & September? Edited September 3, 2024 by karrit Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 (edited) I‘m not opposed to the idea as such, but this doesn’t work as a CMF series for me. This should‘ve been an additional thing like the Unikitty blind bags, not one of the three series! Heck, they don’t even qualify as minifigs! Edited September 3, 2024 by BrickBob Studpants Quote
Lion King Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 I really like my ideal F1 seris than that awful CMF idea Lego has… Quote
Accio Lego Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 So this weird F1 series is supposed to be a spring release right? Do we know what the January series is yet? Or is it going to be an unlicensed one? Quote

It will be an F1 license. And then each CMF will likely be one of the teams, perhaps with two helmets for each of the drivers? Maybe the safety car for the 12th? The idea just seems so pointless for F1. It's a series of cars that are, at a CMF scale, even at Speed Champions scale, essentially the same, just with different colors and sponsors. So what's the point in doing this as a CMF? Oh well. Quote
