I dont know whatever they are doing with this theme anymore...  A Collectible Minifigure Series without minifigures is just wild

Is this confirmed to be a spring release? Because if so, then that means the january series is S27 for sure.

The really strange thing is that Lego did Unikitty and Mario blind bag series concurrently with CMFs without taking up actual CMF slots, so why can’t they do the same for these tiny brick built cars?

Like I stated earlier, This series is scheduled to release in April rather than the normal May CMF Slot so it's possible this will be in addition to the normal CMF releases.

The sales must if anything have increased with the scanning right I had no trouble with feeling the bags, but it took a lot of time. So I guess a lot of people did not do it and how many figs will you buy to get a random one at that price Scanning on the other hand it is a lot easier to do for most people I guess and it is not embarrassing either since people look at their phones everywhere all the time anyway

The idea just seems so pointless for F1. It's a series of cars that are, at a CMF scale, even at Speed Champions scale, essentially the same, just with different colors and sponsors. So what's the point in doing this as a CMF?

Oh well.

I for sure hope it is licensed so it do not waste a normal series spot

Pretty sure it will have no animals, and the rest I most likely have no use for at all so will save some money

Would not surprise me if there is a misunderstanding and this comes as part of the City theme or similar and is not a CMF at all

That’s true, i forgot about unkitty and Mario series. I think we are safe that this f1 serie won’t take up actual CMF series next year.

The initial leak has been corrected to say it's coming in May, not in April. I think it's the regular CMF, sadly.

If I remember correctly that someone said it should be for some region? Like GB and DFB Series.

…there we go, the debate about which CMF series is the worst has finally been settled!!  I seriously hope there‘s a(nother) licensed series next year to make up for whatever this is.

To me it is totally unlikely that this is really a CMF series - well it might be done in the style of it but it won´t be a normal Series. I mean Vidiyo was sold alongside the normal series, same as those Mario Buildable creatures series were. So I don´t see that taking anything from a normal series happening.

That was mere speculation. And unlike Team GB and DFB series which were clearly made for a certain country, F1 is a IP that is international - so that isn´t going to happen.

As mentioned above, To me it seems unlike to be a normal series. But in the end it won´t make a difference if it is for the matter if it sells or not.

Honeslty, it may make difference if this. F1 series would not  sell that well  - sales might go down in a timely matter. I don’t think it will appeal the majority but it might attract kids. 

Lego knows we love minifigures. Lego knows Mario fans collect Mario characters. Not sure about Unkitty. 

So we will see….. i still wish lego a good luck.

I have to hope this has been misreported and is a separate thing (like Videyo or Unikitty) and doesn't take the place of a proper CMF.

It might be that there are other reasons for increases in sales (if they have gone up, I don't know). Three full sets per box probably helps but I have also seen a large increase in people wanting one set discussing buying a complete box and selling the other sets, and resellers (whether LEGO resellers or anything resellers) buying multiple boxes to put away for investment based on past results.  I saw one reseller on facebook (doesn't appear to have much experience with LEGO) with what appears to be 24 boxes of each of series 25 and 26. I imagine they are going to be sitting on those a while for their "guaranteed profit". There will always be winners in the CMF series, but investing in all of them especially at RRP seems to be becoming even more of a bubble than it was. I makes me wonder how many millions of unopened CMF there are out there. All good for LEGO though.

It depends how they are marketed. Speed Champions sell well so there is money in racing cars. If these are small matchbox/hotwheels size cars done well with licensed prints on a couple of parts and with the promise of future collectability (marking bags or boxes as series 1), they could be a good money spinner. Car based polybags have sold well in the past, if marketed that way then they could be popular. But if dine as a short run CMF series, probably not.

Well, I don´t think that any reseller would buy his boxes for RRP though. And given that, investing in CMF seems like a save buiseness to me, since overall, even if you get figures that would go under rrp, others will sell for more. The main problem I see with them, it is a lot of work, unless you just try to sell full series, you might end up sending many single figures around.

By this point, I'm beginning to think the groom stepped out for some cigarettes and never came back. It's either that, or the bride is the one from Disney's Haunted Mansion (Constance Hatchaway) and has had several husbands, all who mysteriously died under suspicious circumstances. Maybe both are actually true, but we'll never know!

Isn't it that people nowadays aren't getting married anymore? LOL So Lego is just reflecting social trends. ROTFL

Lego should also make a female dwarf warrior, jungle girl, male wearing yukata (male version of kimono girl), and merman.

Some characters would be awkward if made into a counterpart-gender minifig (female cabaret singer).

We need male centaur, male harpy, female Frankenstein’s monster (bride!), vampire lady, male paleontologist, female snow guardian (not like ice queen…), male babysitter, female mad scientist, etc etc etc….

I think part of the issue with a groom fig is that compared to the Bride (who was fairly novel at the time), men in dress suits just aren't as uncommon in Lego, so they might need some sort of novel accessory to stand out.

Not that that's a totally impossible proposition. Maybe they could include some sort of new pillow piece that the LOTR ring piece could sit on?

Eh,  yeah dress  sits are uncommon for men in weddings. But maybe lego could have new printings for groom, such as vest with small flowers in its chest pocket and dual-molded legs. A new ring with diamond on it?

i feel a new pillow piece would go to ring bearer.

That is a very good point!

Lego would have to go over the top in printing or accessories to make a groom 'CMF quality'. I could already hear the complaints here. LOL
