Wait, how exactly did you guys reach the conclusion that the F1 series is not a CMF series? Wishful thinking? Because nothing changed, as far as I’m aware. 71048 is S27 and 71049 is still the F1 series.

Is the set number confirmed??

If so, then yes: it IS a CMF

If it doesn't include traditional minifigure parts, I doubt LEGO will refer to it as a Collectable Minifigure series, a bit like what they did with the Unikitty series. Even the packaging for TLM2 was changed to say Character rather than Minifigure due to one character.

It is new to me that the series got a number. But aside from that it just doesn't make sense for it to be a normal series. Also isn't the series said to be released in april? Normal CMF would be may unless they want to change to 4 series a year - or that info is just wrong of course.

All in all I would say the series beeing not part of the cmf series is the way mor logical option.

Not like Vidiyo…. Mario. Character Pack Serries have similiar set numbers.

Are you very sure F1 Seires is really CmF? Not like Mario Character Pack Series??

we are just in denial at this point

There is still hope or most of us will save some money so it is not all bad either way:laugh:

I remember seeing the set number in connection with the rumour somewhere, but I can‘t seem to find it  I think it was the source that first reported about it being buildable cars with minifig heads and helmets, but I could well be wrong about that.

Jedijacpenguin has the series listed with that number as well, but while he’s reliable, he‘s not a leaker himself :classic:

So there might still be a tiny chance it‘s an additional series, but I‘m not willing to bet even a single stud on that

Or not feel like we're missing out because we don't have money to spend anyway. I'll take that at least :sceptic:

Welp, only one slot left for another licenced theme. They better make it count

Fingers crossed that it’s something like D&D that can feature a bunch of new accessories and parts that can be useful outside of the license. Properties like Simpsons/Loony Toons/Muppets typically have almost no new parts outside of molds representing the specific characters, and it would kinda be a bummer for the CMFs to go 8 whole months without producing anything that people who aren’t interested in very specific licenses would be interested in.

Maybe a CMF to go alongside a current theme?

My guess is Pokémon.

Do you remember the list that tandnbricks released on April Fools' Day?

1. Simpson will return

2. Horizon isn't a one off

3. Lottr returns in 2025

4. Pokémon is coming

5. Endor is the next mbs

6. Indiana Jones will return

It's already revealed that Simpsons will return.
LEGO releases a LEGO Horizon game so it's logical they would want to release some sets alongside it.
There have been some rumors that there'll be some smaller LOTR sets alongside the huge Shire.
I heard some speculation about Endor being the next big Star Wars set.
@TandNbricks hinted at a theme returning and some people consider it being Indiana Jones.

If that April Fools' joke was secretly all true, it means that we'll see Pokémon in 2025 and if LEGO introduces a theme such wide as Pokémon, there's high chance they'll do a CMF series alongside it.

Given how the battle bus will be bought as a christmas gift for practically every kid and their dad, a Fortnite CMF has the most potential due to the literal truck load of skins that can be made into minifigures. A Sonic CMF sounds cool too, but we would have less to go off of.

Didn't the original post say something like "1 or more of the following are untrue"?

It was more like decide yourself which of them are true or something. So that could mean all are right aswell as all are wrong. Might even have happened that something is returning now which was on the list and not known to return back then yet.

That one has already been deconfirmed :shrug_oh_well: And as @jonwil points out, as long as Mega has the Pkmn license, we won‘t see any LEGO sets. And it doesn‘t look like they‘ll drop it anytime soon

So two items on that list are made-up, three are true, and one is still rumoured but unconfirmed. Pretty decent prank

For LotR we still don´t know if we will only get another Icons set, or some other sets to though. So far there have been rumours for real sets, but nothing that would make us belive it is really coming I guess.

@Brick Clicker confirmed that 71049 is the F1 series. The biggest mystery is whether they‘ll still call it a „minifigure“ series

That’s a mistake for sure if it’s counted as CMF rather than CB (Collectible Buildable).

Well, if all the speculating, guessing & rumors turn out to be true then the only series I'll be buying next year will be the January release.  I have zero interest in F1.  All the licensed series mentioned so far are of absolutely no interest to me either.

Posted

So the CMFs for 2025 are

January: Series 27

May: F1 Series ( can we even call it a CMF? Since the M stands for Minifigures not mCars?)

September: unknown.

And it's unknown if the Sept series will be licensed, Themed ( like series 14 and 26 and so on) or just a traditional series.

The thing is with themed and especially licensed series is that often you either like the theme or licence or you don't. Whereas traditional series tend to have at least something for everyone simply because they have that variety.

So whilst I'd like a theme or licence I'm interested in over a generic series, I still think I'd prefer a traditional series overall because a license has a reasonable likelihood of being something I don't care about (and we've already wasted one slot on F1 imo ). So I guess I'm hoping the unknown series is just plain old series 28 unless it's something epic like a classical mythology themed series or a Doctor Who licensed one.
