Maybe the 40th anniversary of the Castle theme? If true, and if they live up to expectation, I'm going to blow a lot of money on these. Well, 2018 is the 40th anniversary of the minifigure. Quote
Roebuck Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 If it is a castle themed series I would be very happy! Would expect to see the return of the goat in a different colour at least and maybe a sheep A series of classic minifigs sounds odd, since CMF is the complete opposite Quote

Well that's interesting as well. In my excitement, I focused too much on Itara's excitement. I know he is a fan of Castle themes, so I thought there might be a clue there. But Castle, Space, and Town themes all began in 1978. So it could be just like any other series, really. Maybe with a focus on redesigning the classics. Still hoping it will be Castle focused, though. Quote

I was born in 1979. So if something I read here is correct I'd be super excited too. Quote
Pop Star c o Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 When I imagine that there won't be Disney 2, I feel as forlorn castaway a hundred miles away from my home. Quote
K_Tiger Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Eh, I think it's way premature to write-off more Disney CMFs. They may not drop them in rapid succession like they did with The Simpsons, but I fully believe we'll see more. I think it's really down to the timing of The LEGO Batman Movie and The LEGO NINJAGO Movie. Only so many production slots for the year. Quote

Seriously, man, you say that we are getting on your nerves talking about regular series, yet literally each comment you post is complaining about Disney 2 not happening. And I agree with rob-ot. At least Disney, like The Simpsons is made up from all sort of iconic characters from different times in history. Unlike Batman or Ninjago series, they don't need to keep up with one franchise/movie and release it while it's fresh. They can make a Disney series 2 in even 3-4 years from now. Quote
SirBlake Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 You and your Disney series 2. It's starting to get on my nerves. Quote
Pop Star c o Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 If there's Disney 2, it will have one benefit for you. You'll save some money. Quote

Pop Star c o Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 No, it will end. It'll end when we will know if there's Disney 2 next year. Quote

The Simpsons is rumored to end with Season 30 (2019 I think). I expect the last season to be heavily advertised by Fox. If Simpsons Series 3 ever happens, I wouldn't be surprised if it is released on May 2019, right before the series finale airs. Edited March 24, 2017 by Robert8 Quote

Okay, that would make sense. But it's always rumored to end and then it gets renewed. Quote

I cannot count how many times the Simpsons had been rumoured ending and yet it is still being aired today. I'm one of a few who likes to get the more relevant characters from Springfield because they botched the Simpsons S2 if that would be the last one. Quote

Yeah I know. We've heard that a lot of times before But it has to end at some point and the 30th milestone is just around the corner. They are getting old. Some of the cast/producer are tired (and some already died). Shearer even records his lines through a phone But well..... time will tell Quote

1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 (edited) This might have been discussed before, but I'm confused. At the end of this article on minifigpriceguide, we see the following two pictures for an upcoming series (not 17): Why are both labeled as 71019 (which we know to be Ninjago)? Should we assume that the second (more recent one) is the correct one? That would explain the discrepancy in numbers (16 vs. 20) previously discussed. Edited April 4, 2017 by BrickHat Quote
