The S.8 Actor has some pretty fine detail work in the printing, so the hypothetical bodice could be equally detailed, and a new hair piece would be nice. I'm not saying CMF Queen is a bad start, I suppose all it would really take was the addition of the ruff piece. 1 There are loads of other dress torsos with old slope combinations with very fine detail printing and not all in red... stick a ruff on any of these and this is probably what any new Baroque / Renaissance / Tudor woman would look like. Maybe they'd use the newish large dress piece again, although I prefer the new version of the slope one. I find the large queen's one too big. Quote

For me it would be for the whole thing since I have a dozen ancestors that were pilgrims on the mayflower. Quote
MAB Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 I wouldn't mind them repeating something like the thespian or Shakespeare but coming on a dark blue base or better still black (although the existing print might not work so well on black). Even dark orange (like Percy from Blackadder II) would be good. I'd also like a more open ruff-like collar for the women, so a bit like the fur collars of Kraven or the Penguin but done to look like the lace of the ruff. Quote

Agreed. ________________ I rather like the idea of sticking with a single numbered series per year in the main line until at least 2020, when we can have Series 20 in the line's tenth anniversary year, but after that I'd be fine with either the mainline or the separate themed series getting either two slots or one per year. From the perspective of wanting enough figures of each sort each year to satisfy everyone, having four series a year (two and two) sounds great, but speaking as someone who tries to get all of them but has a hard time keeping up, I'm not sure I want that at all. I will just add that for 2020, in addition to the proposed / hoped-for special commemorative anniversary Series 20, I'd dearly love for there to be an Indiana Jones series. I'd be fine with that any year, actually, but 2020 (the scheduled release year for the next movie) seems like the best time to do a series for that particular franchise. Quote

Mr Bill Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 An inside connection I know has told me TBBR has not yet been greenlighted... Pre-production stuff is happening, but whether it goes into production or not will likely depend on how well TLM2 does. TLBM and TLNM did not do as well as expected, but hopes are high for TLM2. Plus the original deal was for a total of four movies, so... with TLM2 being #4, we shall see. Good box office will lead to more movies whether they (WB) sign off for them one at a time or sign for multiples. Keep your fingers crossed! --Mr Bill Quote

So, if that's the case, then WB has had that original release date of May 2019 scratched off as a possibility for quite some time, presumably since the aftermath of TLNM's box office results perhaps? By the way, would you perhaps be able to tell us who this source was associated with? Was it WB or TLG? Quote

Because "original deal was for a total of 4 movies" sounds kind of iffy. Aa far as we know Batman Movie took The LEGO Movie Sequel original release date. So the Batman movie wasn't planned from the beginning Edited April 15, 2018 by Robert8 Quote

rob-ot5000 Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 My understanding was that, after the resounding success of TLM, they announced a plan for four more movies. The original doesn't count in that tally, since the deal was reached after it crushed at the box office. So yes, the four movies would be TLBM, TLNM, TLM2, and then TBBR. As for Mr. Bill's information and how it relates to "THE PLAN", well...sometimes plans fall through. Things don't always come to fruition. (For examples, visit any thread about LEGO Dimensions.) And with the diminishing returns on each subsequent LEGO movie and its related merchandise, it's reasonable that they might rethink their strategy in any number of ways. Quote
