Hello,

thank you for the further comments. I am glad to see you appreciate the instructions. :classic:

whats the scale for the standrad sets? :hmpf_bad::look:

The official LEGO® sets don't follow any particular scale. They are not to scale with each other. Every model has its own scale. For example the large ISD (10030) is 0.96 meters while the original in the movie is 1600 meters. That makes a scale of 1:1667. You can also calculate the scale in studs instead of meters, like fo the MIDI ISD (8099) here.

Cheers,

~ Christopher

The original UCS sets, 7191 and 7181, are both in 1:28 scale and thus to scale with each other. This could be extended to 10175 since it used the same piece for the canopy as 7181. :classic:

Ah sorry, my bad. It seems you're right about Vader's TIE.

I am just not that familiar with the UCS much, as I am more into the smaller scales. :classic:

Wow, your midi's are amazing. The Venator is just so fantastic. It looks so complex, and I wouldn't be surprised if that is the best one out there. This scale seems to be leading you in a good direction.

Great job

Thank you very much! :classic:

Indeed, the construction is very complex. I wanted to use a similar style as for the official MIDI ISD. However that did not work out, as the Venator ich less massive and we have thus only a very small free volume in the ship. So I designed my own frame construction. :classic:

Legostein thank you very much for the Midi designs. The Venator is absolutely superb. And may I say, looking at the earlier models on your website I was chuffed to find a model of the Jedi temple. As a matter of fact I am surprised that Lego hasn't come up with with a large size model of the temple. It is an iconic building in the Star Wars saga.

I'm reading this forum for a few monthes now but you made me register to ask you for the parts list.

As soon as i manage to find a way to MP i'll ask you.

PS: Excuse for my english it's not my mother tongue.

Thank you everyone! :classic:

It's great to see people like to build the Venator to scale with their Star Destroyer. :classic:

More scaled models soon.

Those are great designs, while keeping them all in the same scale and still retaining plenty of details.

I dare someone to build the Executor in this scale. One source says 19 km in length, which would mean ISD Midi scale would be 380 studs long. 118.75 inches long or a hair over 3 meter total. With any luck, half a million grey plates would be needed just for the skin of the ship.

OTOH Millennium Falcon would have to be really small. At best you could use a single 1x1 round plate for the whole ship, and someone would complain it's bigger than proper scale. ;)

Tsk, tsk, the Executor is eleven times the length of an Imperial, about 17.6km. In midi-scale, around 2.7m long.

That would be really cool actually. *HINT*

Yes defiantly. It would probably have to be a team build to get Midi Executor.

Just think, this huge nearly 3m long ship was bought down by an A-Wing fighter that would have been the size of a grain of sand in Midi scale.

Hello again!

Thank you for the comments, but it is rather unlikely that I will design an Executor to scale with the MIDI ISD. This is a relatively new project and it's a quite tough mission to build ships to scale with set 8099. I do not have the parts stock to buuild something that big. BUt I am sure one of the many UCS SSD ships out there will fit the criteria already. :classic:

Hello, quite late into the forum haha, I am interested in buidling the venator class since lego has failed to meet my midi scale cravings haha.

I would love to get the part list to start some bricklink orders but the contact information you have in your website seems to be a bit off, maybe an error? please let me know if you could pass me the part list. Or any email I can contact you directly with.
