Splat Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Wow. It looks like thirdwigg/thirdwig has rebuilt the entire chassis, and only kept the outer shell/bodywork the same. I think this set provides a great potential for tweaking and modifying. Quote
DLuders Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 (edited) Yes, thirdwigg's 4x4 8081 Extreme Cruiser mod is posted on Rebrickable and Brick Truck Trial. He wrote on Flickr, "The challenge for this MOD was the front axle. If I could get the front axle to work, I could get the rest of the project to work. As shown by efferman, a V-8 will fit, so with a little work, a couple CV joints, and some serious reworking of the front frame, I was able to add a driving axle to the front of the model." DLuders Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 [bUMP] On MOCpages, Devin Crist shows a simple way of making a locking door handle for the 8081 Lego Technic Extreme Cruiser set. The design could be used on many Technic sets with similar doors, and on MOCs: Quote
Lauris Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I got this set few days ago and on the box there's a yellow text line "Limited Edition". Does anyone know what's so limited about it? Quote
