Ahoy Mates!

Just wondering what were the top five must have pirates sets from the sart till today's POTC line.

as a background I have:

Saber Island

Carribean Clipper

Black Seas Baracuda

Forbidden Island

Queen Anne's Revenge

10210 Imperial Flagship

I have always been a lego fan, but only recently with the POTC line reigniting my Love of Pirate legos decided to start hitting bricklink for some of the better classic sets out there.

So what do YOU think are the top 5 must haves in any pirate lego collection?

My humble opinion :

Black Sea's Barracuda

Queen Anne's Revenge

Rock Island Refuge

Imperial Flagship (Original)

Isla De Muerta

Also a fan of Forbidden Island and I think Whitecap Bay looks pretty nice.

Black Seas Barracuda

Imperial Flagship (10210)

QAR

Eldorado Fortress

Imperial Trading post

I might change QAR for SES when I see it in person (pictures can be deceiving)

Imperial Flagship (10210)

Imperial Trading Post (6277)

Black Seas Barracuda (6285)

Skull's Eye Schooner (6286)

Imperial Flagship (6271)

Unfortunately I only own two of these sets (10210 & 6271), but I want the others so bad. Anyways, these are my top 5. Can't wait to see what other people choose.

Eldorado Fortress

Imperial Trading Post

New Imperial Flagship

OK thanks for all the replies all!

SO far it looks like this if I have counted correctly:

Old Imperial Flagship 5

Black Seas Baracuda 5

New imperial Flag ship 4

Eldorado Fortress 4

Imperial Trading Post 4

Skull's eye Schooner 4

Queen Anne's Revenge 3

and one each for shipwreck hideout, Pirates Perilous Pitfall, Rock Island Refuge, and Isla Demuerta.

So I have three of those. I was fairly sure I wanted Eldorado fortress and the Imperial Trading Post. Those were never at my shop's when i had the money or I never had money when they were at my shops :P

Ill have to look into the Skull's Eye Schooner and the Old Imperial Flagship.

Thanks again all keep em comming!

For me it's:

Imperial Flagship 10210

Black Seas Barracuda

Eldorado Fortress

Imperial Trading Post

Caribbean Clipper (I know this isn't on most people's lists but it's one of the first sets I bought after my Dark Age and I love the color scheme)

I like Caribean Clipper very much, because its from my favorite bluecoat facition and I remember it from last years before ma dark ages. It's just that other sets are even better anda bove all larger.

If I would consider just from sentimental point than it would be all first wave sets, in that order:

Shipwreck island - my first pirate set

BSB - first and best pirate ship

Broadsides brig - my first bluecoat set

Eldorado fortress - best non-ship set from pirates line

Caribean Clipper - one and only bluecoat ship

But that's strictla personal. I didnt even know about redcoats, Islanders, SES and other until few years ago when I started collecting Lego again.

Your top 5 list has 6 things on it.

Mine would be-

Eldorado Fortress

Black Seas Barracuda

New imperial Flagship

Carribean Clipper

Rock Island Refuge.

Eldarado Fortress (actually don't have :pir_bawling:)

Imperial FLagship (2010)

Black Seas Barracuda (actually don't have :pir_bawling:)

Imperial Trading post (actually don't have :pir_bawling:)

Skull Eye's Schooner (actually don't have :pir_bawling:)

6285/10040 Black Seas Barracuda

6274 Caribbean Clipper

6271 Imperial Flagship

10210 Imperial Flagship

4195 Queen Anne's Revenge

While I don't have either the 10210 Flagship or Queen Anne's Revenge, both look like very promising and great Pirate sets. I actually don't own the Black Seas Barracuda either, but my best friend had it back in the day and oh man was the ship the coolest set out there. Easily beat out my Caribbean Clipper.

This is a little unfair since most of the sets are extremely hard to get now. Nevertheless, in ascending set number...

6243 Brickbeard's Bounty

6270 Forbidden Island

6276 Eldorado Fortress

6277 Imperial Trading Post

10210 Imperial Flagship

That gives you a pirate ship and a pirate base, an Imperial ship and an Imperial base, and also the only thing close to a civilian harbour. This also comes with a civilian ship.

I know most people prefer the BSB to the BB, but I prefer the colours and design of the BB, even if the masts are a bit rubbish. And nothing can beat the IF.

Unfortunately nothing from 2009 comes close to the earliest bases and outposts.
