July 19, 201113 yr I'll probably get all of them eventually. The real question is which ones will ever get to see the light of day as a built set.
July 31, 201113 yr Before I start a completely new thread I'll ask my question here... I'm pondering which of the smaller villians I should get. So far I own Bulk 3.0 and Furno 3.0 from the current line, and I'll definitely get Scorpio. I also want to get one of the small boxes, but I can't decide which one: - Raw-Jaw got the gorilla-theme, plus loads of EXO-Force arms - Fangz is silver - Waspix got a great design and those trans-yellow shells. So which one would you suggest me?

So which one would you suggest me? Well since you already have Bulk and Furno, I'd suggest getting Raw-Jaw. As Hero Factory is still fairly new so people don't really have a wide variety of parts to already build with it's important to build up your lot with colors that you'll have use for in the future. Raw-Jaw has alot of great red armor pieces and probably includes more new parts then any of the other sets. Since you already have Furno, Raw-Jaw is a great set if you want to modify him into a bigger creation with all the armor you get, he also has alot of metallic pieces for Bulk. And he's also quite cool looking, though that is based on preference.
July 31, 201113 yr Iam not a fan of this theme but Waspix looks pretty cool. The great thing about some of these figures Is they make great aliens or monsters to attack Lego city. Edited July 31, 201113 yr by LEGOMAN132
July 31, 201113 yr All the villains are meh out of the box. Especially Scorpio. Waspix and Fangz are pretty lame as well. I'd go with Raw-Jaw, with some really simple modifications, he becomes a really cool set. And he's not just a flood of bone pieces like Waspix, or some odd looking spear face.. What a waste of money those two were. Just read a review for Waspix on BZP. Makes me a little less shameful for buying it. But damn, who was the reviewer? It was a tedious, painful read. August 1, 201113 yr But damn, who was the reviewer? It was a tedious, painful read. Yeah, that guy sucks. I hate his reviews. And he takes terrible photos.
August 1, 201113 yr Ha ha ha ha. Heh heh. Good one. Everyone's main beef with BZPower neatly summarised, ladies and gentlemen.

What a waste of money those two were. Just read a review for Waspix on BZP. Makes me a little less shameful for buying it. But damn, who was the reviewer? It was a tedious, painful read. I liked the Waspix review as well, and it had DV's characteristic humor. One of my favorite bits: On the back, once you lay the box on it's side, is a picture of Waspix attacking Bill, and a quick comic explaining that apparently Witch Doctor is blowing Spherus Magna up. This explains everything. Overall, though, the review didn't make me much more excited for Waspix than I am for Raw-Jaw. Maybe when the Raw-Jaw review emerges it'll be able to change that, but I've seen several extremely attractive photos of the set at this point so I'm beginning to think that the flaws of the set just don't bother me much, rather than that they're just not visible in the pictures I've seen. Waspix just feels more plain to me, no matter how cool he is, and I think the largely humanoid build might be a factor in that opinion. The black connector piece on Waspix's back is the main selling point for the set in my book, but I feel it could have been much better-designed. The central ball joint doesn't have much flexibility, which could have possibly been amended if it were designed more like the hip area of a hero torso. Of course, with all that said, my twin brother is really enthusiastic about Waspix, so we'll see how I feel about the set once he's bought it for himself and I can see it in real life.
August 1, 201113 yr My problem with gauging sets, which I'm sure effects how I take to reviews, is that I have trouble critiquing the actual set. Instead of any modified versions I might make. Raw-Jaw, straight out of the box, I could see as being inferior to Waspix. Because you really don't need to do much, if anything at all, to make Waspix a really cool set. Raw-Jaw definitely required some fixes to help save the gap-tacular back end. The only Villain in this wave I absolutely hate is Scorpio, nothing looks right about that set. Especially the legs. I think I might pick a couple up to try to bring some symmetry to the legs, though. Edited August 1, 201113 yr by MoralWarfare
August 1, 201113 yr Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm actually tempted to get Raw-Jaw now. I don't have much red shells since I missed Furno 2.0 and I like his overall design more than Fangz'. And on top of that, I'm already good with silver thanks to both Bulk and the 2.0 villians. Oh, and all the red shells should work great with Fire Lords body for some MOC...
August 5, 201113 yr I going to try and get the whole wave, but for sure Furno 3.0, Bulk 3.0, and Raw-Jaw. Furno 3.0 is totaly my favorite version of him so far, I love that sick hawk helmet!
August 5, 201113 yr So far I think I might get Raw jaw and two stringers (for the pieces). Most likely will focus on Alien conquest this year.
August 6, 201113 yr I'm probably gonna get Witch Doctor, Stringer 3.0, Stormer 3.0, and Bulk 3.0. I might get Raw-Jaw or Furno 3.0 later on.
August 7, 201113 yr Just got Bulk 3.0 today, as an early birthday gift for myself tomorrow Love every bit of him. I'm glad his blades don't fall off as easily as I thought they would, they're very secure, actually. Can't wait to get Raw-Jaw next on my list!

What a coincidence-- my brother's birthday is also coming up and I know he's getting Bulk 3.0. It seems like Raw-Jaw is pretty popular. I think I'll get him over Waspix.

I think I'll get him over Waspix. Thanks! I think the badge on mine is a little misprinted, but oh well. This guy is perfect. I love everything about him (okay, maybe except his lack of back armour, but oh what to do), found myself actually playing with him. And I'm 17. Darn. I didn't get any of the 2.0 heroes though, and I really love this guy. Will probably buy a bunch of the 3.0s, next hero on my list is Rocka, after I get Raw-Jaw.
August 11, 201113 yr The sets I most want to buy are Rocka 3.0 and Raw-Jaw. I also enjoy Stringer, Bulk, Nex, and Waspix. I would like to receive Witch Doctor as a gift.

I'll see if my brother's figure has that issue once he opens it. I got the same satisfaction from Nex 3.0, my only set from this wave; compared to his 2.0 version, I like this one more. If they make back armor for these guys, they'll be perfect. Yeah, I'm 17, too and I play with LEGOs every day. :D
August 11, 201113 yr Hey, I've got $25 to spend but I'm not sure what to buy: Rocka XL or Scorpio. I'm leaning towards Scorpio for the lime and other cool pieces, but Rocka has useful titan-building pieces. It's not like I need the gold, though, considering I already have a normal Rocka (and a dismantled Brutaka). Opinions?
August 11, 201113 yr Personal opinion? Save up $5 more and spring for Witch Doctor. Scorpio's a jumbled mess of a design, and Rocka XL's far from excellent as well. Witch Doctor has a great array of technic and HF parts which make for a wonderful parts selection. As far as deciding between Scorpio and Rocka XL, I'd go for Scorpio, just because of all the bone pieces and lime/black armor shells. Not to mention that lime spike piece!
