I particularly wanted some Centaurs for my Elf army and to see how possible it would be to do a conversion on standard parts I took up my razor saw, two part putty, acrylic paints and made this......

I'm very pleased with the final result, - and yes I will be making some more Centaurs by this method.

I've seen a lot of centaur mods before BF released their centaur body piece, and I gotta say you did an excellent job on this. The addition of the studs on the back is also a nice touch allowed for accessories to be attached.

This is a great job White Nun. I loved how you did nto just add the brick on top, but rather counter sunk it into the body.

Well done. :classic:

Thanks everyone :classic: Recessing the 2x2 plate into the horse's body was a bit more work, but it's very much worth doing because the final result is considerably better than just plonking it on top.

This was my first attempt which didn't last very long before I took it apart to recess the 2x2 plate. (The Forestman is just there to give a measure of size)

I thought I'd best mention that the round shield decal is ED-209's work and not mine. Elf Decals

I will be making some more Centaurs and yes they will be in other colours. The black horse was a spare one I'd got in a box of joblot 2nd hand bricks so I thought I'd use it to experiment with.

Very good customization White Nun! I really like how made your own using the standard LEGO horse body. I think this is alternative solution for those who don't want to buy the BF one, I might have to try this myself. Thanks for sharing this.
