alois Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I wanted to build a new addition to my modular street, and tried to capture a turn of the century art-nouveau house. I also put in an interior. What do you think of it? (it's the house in the middle) The exterior of the first floor: Interior: The second floor: Interior: See my flickr-page for more views. Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 AWESOME and beautifully detailed house 'alois', the interior especially the kitchen and yes, a lot of cheese.....but it's not cheesy at all ! Fits quite well next to the green grocer, Brick On 'alois'....totally Brick On ! Quote
The Spark That Bled Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I like it. Lots of nice touches inside and out. I really like your piano and the cheese wedge designs on the exterior. Quote
L@go Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Great - just like your other modular designs! The piano is of course a favourite, but the entire interior is very nice. I also like that park a lot, it's a very good idea to put something like that in between the houses to break it up a bit. I was just wondering why that guy at the entrance is wearing his white gloves today...? Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Great MOC 'alois'. Wonderful details throughout. I especially like the interior. Very nice work Quote
AussieJimbo Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Top job, alois. Great little piano, very clever. :classic: Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Great design and Project Alois! I personally love the piano the most, and yes lots of tan bricks! Great work! Quote
alois Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 I was just wondering why that guy at the entrance is wearing his white gloves today...? Because he was originally part of the winter toy shop set.... I don't have any yellow hands left. Quote
L-space Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Top job. LOve the way you decorated the windows and the small details. Quote
Redcross Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Great job on you Art Nouveau modular house, I can see how you have incorporated arches and decorative mouldings. I believe organic or plant like decoration is common in this style Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 That is a beautiful building Alois. Great use of the white headlight bricks in the windows. Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Excelent modular Alois The exterior and interior is great. Very detailed. The building certainly fits in well with the other modular buildings. Nice work. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I love it! Very nice use of the cheese slopes for the exterior details and the interiors are well done too with tiled surfaces and custom furniture. This is really a great addition to your already beautiful modular street. Very good job Alois! Quote
Legoless Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Love it! That could only be a Dutch townscape- and remarkably well realised. I like the window surrounds especially. Quote
Man with a hat Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 This is great. I really like the first floor with the large window and the stairs to the recessed door so typical of so many buildings. Quote
brickcitydepot Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I like the headlight bricks in the windows, the slope design above the door and the rest of it as well. Quote
