I just spent 19 hours sorting and counting the minifigs in my Castle collection. My back is stiff and I have a headache. Furthermore, I spent an additional $875 on BL to pick up missing parts. That reminds me why I don't ever like to do a census of my minifig population.

Lately I spend very little time with Lego. My puppy is turning out to be very demanding so the only time I'm near my lego is when I'm in bed. So then it's usually staring at drawer units and boxes and containers of unsorted stuff trying to figure out the best way of sorting. and list making of bricks and parts I want. and mentally constructing and planning.

That's probably only about an hour a day. Pitiful.

I wish I had more time to spend with my collection but things are busy for me this time of the year. Between grading papers and entering marks into the system for report cards, I really don't have a lot of time to invest with my bricks. Still, once July rolls around I plan on doing quite a bit of building.

Not enough.

Seriously, between work, family, and other issues I get to spend almost no time right now.

Some of you seem to spend a lot of time on this, how do you manage to find the time? By the time I have been to work for around 10 hours and sleep for 8 more, that only leaves 6 to do everything else including eat, wash, interact with my family etc, so whilst I'd like to spend more time on LEGO it is probably about 20mins a day on the forum and about 2 hours a week at weekends building and sorting etc. If I happen to be out shopping and see something I'll buy it but that is it. There are unfortunately not enough hours in the day.

I'm with these guys. I have a job, girlfriend, 3 dogs, a house to maintain, and not nearly enough time for hobbies. Somehow I manage to squeeze in a couple hours here and there assuming I've got the lawn mowed and the kitchen clean. I have to make time for this hobby. But yeah I probably spend only a couple hours a week, if that. I do hit the forum during down times at work for maybe a cumulative hour spread out over the day. I guess I spend more time forum-ing than building, which is kind of sad.

Depends on which project I'm working on. On average however, probably 1 - 2 hours a day with "physical LEGO", and 2 - 3 hours a day on EuroBricks and other LEGO websites. :classic:

I could spend days on it if I had the chance.

I tend to spend up to 15 hours on it because I have to do other little things.

If I am writing stuff about it or in lego digital designer then it would be more..

I'm usually too busy. But when I'm tired and I want to rest, I go to my computer and browse BL, Eurobricks, Brickset and eBay for Lego. And when I have A LOT of time, I'm actually able to take out my stuff. :cry_sad: That's what happens when you have to make miracles to store your collection in your room.

Per day, about half to one hour building LEGO. Whenever I want a substantial break from work (i.e. my brain needs a different challenge since I work partly from home).

I also check EB several times throughout the day-- that's my quick break from work.

Depends on my mood and how much time I have free. Just spent today building Queen Anne's Revenge with my daughter, followed by Hoth Echo Base with my son... but today was a very unusual day. It's true we did a "family" build a few weeks ago (Cafe Corner), but I haven't done any large sets besides those for some time. My MOC time is very limited. If I have all day and I'm in the mood, I'll spend all day. I honestly can't remember the last time that happened.

Well I only sleep about 6.5 hours each night, go to school about 7 hours (and not on weekends), and only really do any stuff around the house on weekends (perhaps 3-5 hours?), and for all the time I take about 2 hours daily for eating. So that leaves about 7-8 hours in the week, and like 9.5 minimum on weekends, most of which I spend with LEGO.

Too much time, so my wife says. My time is divided up to browsing various sites, ebay etc, if I have a new model building it and then the rest spent on my blog.

Not enough time!

Usually an hour spread out over the day on EuroBricks.

Some time on Bricklink just looking things up.

Maybe 2 to 3 hours per week (right now) sorting.

Not near enough time building because I like to block off 3 to 4 hours at a time over several days for building and that doesn't happen too often. But I have spent up to 16 plus hours in a week on a big model.

So my time varies from 2 hours to 18 hours depending.

If im not busy with home life Ill spend an hour or 2 building and sorting. On the weekend I can sort and build for 6-8 hours or more (was up to 3am building on Friday night) if noe bussy with hose cleaning or mowing lawns. Someties I wont touch it for a week or so just depends if the boss is on my back. I also like to buy up on Lego @ sales and hide sets from the boss and tell her when the time is right  . I spend a good majority of my work day scanning EB, eBay and other fourms and sale sites in free time between calls and jobs.
