Posted July 16, 200618 yr Hello people I was thinking about the old LEGO comercials recently and I wanted to ask it here... I used to enjoy them on CartoonNetwork in the early 90's and later... Since I was a very, very young then,I rembember only those with:indigo islanders, dragon masters, royal knights and fright knights... I'm sure there is much more... I'm wondering could it be found somewhere as a video-clips??? Thanx Greetings from Serbia
July 16, 200618 yr Here's a thread discussing some old commercials from Classic-Castle.com. I hope that helps! Here's an old PIRATES commercial. I can't stop laughing... :-D
July 16, 200618 yr Author Yes,that helps... Thanks Berry... :-D even I don't remember any of these comercials... or I haven't seen any of these... Anyway it's nice to have those Anybody else knows something about old castle comercials?Pirates? thanx greetings from Serbia
July 16, 200618 yr Governor Not even I realised there were Pirate LEGO commercials. Its probably becase they were never broadcast in the southern seas so I've never had a chance to to see them. This is a very good question because its opening up a facet of Pirate LEGO I'm not familiar with. I don't suppose you remember much about the Indigo Islander commercial?
July 16, 200618 yr Author Well I don't... I remember that camera was going through enchanted island, probably(or better said several of them), under few of its bridges... I remember chief's mask(i loved it first time I saw it),crocodiles and lots of treasure... and I think that the water was real...landscapes were like those in catalogs - absolutelly BEAUTIFUL *wub* well this sure doesn't helps a lot... :-D Greetings from Serbia
July 16, 200618 yr Governor It gives some insight but it would be good if we could find all these commercials. I've just remember the commercial for the 1993 LEGO Expo: Pirates Ahoy...
July 18, 200618 yr I asked if anyone knew where to find old Pirate commercials in some other thread many months ago, but no one replied... :) But it was a sort of off-topic back then, not a specific thread. Anyway, I remember an old commercial, 1989 I think, it was shown in Poland where I live and I also saw it on some German channel (Sat 1 I guess). I don't remember much of it, but it showed a battle between Black Seas Barracuda and Caribbean Clipper, in which Governor Broadside was hit and fell off the ship straight into shark's mouth, it had great music, and it didn't have any special background, the ships were standing on the floor and I think some kids playing with them were shown too. Other sets might have been there as well... I kept it recorded on a videocassette for a long time, but eventually I either recorded something else on it, or the cassette got broken. I'd really like to see that commercial again.
July 18, 200618 yr Author I kept it recorded on a videocassette for a long time, but eventually I either recorded something else on it, or the cassette got broken. I'd really like to see that commercial again. That's a disaster :'-( :'-( I like it,as you describe it,and I would really love to see that one... But the Indigo Islanders are still my favourite... there hasn't been shown any humans at all... C'mon...anyone??? :'-) Greetings from Serbia
July 19, 200618 yr I remember a commercial of 1996... Which sets was this commercial for? Captain Redbeard Pirate ship...Armanda flagship and i remember seeing Imperial Outpost too
July 19, 200618 yr Captain Redbeard Pirate ship... I think you meant "Red Beard Runner", not that 4+ crap... ;-)
July 19, 200618 yr Author Captain Redbeard Pirate ship... I think you meant "Red Beard Runner", not that 4+ crap... ;-) The European name for it was the"Marauder" *skull* *skull* *skull* I think that's the best one ;-) I haven't seen that comercial... Greetings from Serbia
July 20, 200618 yr Captain Redbeard Pirate ship... I think you meant "Red Beard Runner", not that 4+ crap... ;-) You're right X-D
July 20, 200618 yr Governor But the Indigo Islanders are still my favourite... there hasn't been shown any humans at all...C'mon...anyone??? :'-) Something must be lost in translation here because I don't understand what you mean by that. Could you possibly rephrase it?
July 20, 200618 yr Author But the Indigo Islanders are still my favourite... there hasn't been shown any humans at all... C'mon...anyone??? :'-) Something must be lost in translation here because I don't understand what you mean by that. Could you possibly rephrase it? Yes I can... by"there hasn't been shown any humans at all" I was thinking that the sets(or it's includes) were moving alone,I mean noone hasn't playing with them... By "Indigo Islanders are still my favourite" I meant that the comercial with them, which I have seen,is my favourite and I was begging i8f anyone can put me on the right way to get it... Well on the end, nothing big, worth of mentioning... I just wanted to put topic back on the indigo islanders comercial... Greetings from Serbia
July 24, 200618 yr i love the wild west one. Also i seem to remember one about johnny thunders adventures in egypt anybody got this one? Also i think there was a rock raiders comercial too. I do remember the kk1 commercial though with the real knights fighting eachother then it would cut to footage of the castle and cedrics siege engines demolishing it, i used to love that one.
July 25, 200618 yr I definitely remember Royal Knights, the others were fuzzy. Then again, I was at most 7. Did anyone else flinch a tad bit when the guy blew up his SES haha?
August 13, 200618 yr I remember a LEGO Pirate commercial (probably the only LEGO TV commercial I ever saw) which broadcasted on 1996 or 1997. I clearly remember it featured the Santa Cruz, in some kind of computer animated battle against that pirate ship with a red hull. I would love to get my hands on that piece of film.
June 28, 200717 yr warning: Extremely old thread revival!: Thanks fo the birthday greetings Djole sk8! man these commercials are cheesy! and why would blackfoot thompson and the "gang" be confined to the generals office?
June 29, 200717 yr warning: Extremely old thread revival!: Do you really think that was necessary? Please only revive old topics if you really need to because this: Thanks fo the birthday greetings Djole sk8! man these commercials are cheesy! and why would blackfoot thompson and the "gang" be confined to the generals office? doesn't make alot of sense to me :S . except for the birthday greetings part... Neither does it seem very important to me. So please only revive an old topic when really necessary. ;-) Thank you. Mr Tiber Edited June 29, 200717 yr by Mr Tiber
