LegoCityMann Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 OK< I've created a new building for my town. It's the same size as the "Ban & Money Transfer" but one brick taller. Going to be placed between the Bike Shop & Pizza Parlor from the City Corner kit. Still not sure what I am going to put in it. I welcome all suggestions. Front: Rear: So, What should I put in this building? Thanks in Advance, LCM Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Simple yet it works, I do like the bay window......try a hardware store. PM me if you want how to do's for it okay ! Brick On 'LegoCityMann' ! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) I'd say go with a head shop or alternative music store. The store colors are bright and the windows dark. Better for keeping mature products out of view of the kids hanging around the bike/skate shop and pizzaria Can't wait to see its progression Edited May 17, 2011 by Leg Godt Gud Quote
Redcross Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Consider what minifig items you have, perhaps if you have many of one item. Then let your imagination go. Get inspiration from real lfe and reference pictures on the net. Another sugestion would be to incorporate the star on the window, the red bricks would make a great custom sticker location. Maybe Hollywood clothing store with mannaquins in the bay window. Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Oh, silly me I know a video game store would be even better or a surf'n'street wear store ! Or a tavern ? You have plenty of ideas 'LCM' so keep going ! Quote
Captain Becker Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Something Guard office like for example: Securitas? Or then just a Computer store. Icant think anything else, because there is that old Police marking in the window so i think those two would be the best options to it. Captain Becker Quote
LegoCityMann Posted May 17, 2011 Author Posted May 17, 2011 Thanks for the suggestions. I've figured out what I am going to put into the building thanks to you all. I started with all the old school computer monitors I could find and it kinda morphed from there. Pictures coming soon. Quote
LegoCityMann Posted May 17, 2011 Author Posted May 17, 2011 Here's the first pic. Any guesses as to what it has become. It will fit in perfectly between the City Corner Pizza Parlor & The Skate shop. Welcome to the City Corner Arcade. Here we have a payphone, a token dispenser, and a Submarine Game near the front door and a Bigger Multiplayer arcade game. On the second floor we find a driving simulator. and a few other single player consoles Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Looking good 'LCM', nice video game machines, though I would suggest some colour or pin stripping on the driving simulator it's a but plain all white. Great work 'LCM' and Brick On Game On ! Quote
greg3 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Great idea!! I love the way you've used the different consoles to suit the game... nice work!! Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Nice building LegoCityMann. It's looking great and the interior is nice aswell Why not change that red strip at the top to green to match the window colour? Anyway keep up the great work. Quote
romdam Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 A police station arcade? I'm confused by the police logo on the window. Quote
LegoCityMann Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 A police station arcade? I'm confused by the police logo on the window. The building was one of many smaller police outposts in the city. However when the new police station was built the city decided that instead of raising taxes to finance the new modern station, they would sell off the older buildings to pay for the new one. The new owners of the building decided to keep the markings on one window in tribute to the fine work of the city's police. ~LCM Quote
