Since there was a recent post about how Lego Creator (in some cases) was like Model Team and Technic, Nathanael Kuipers (industrialdesigner on Brickshelf) posted 9 different alternates (so far) for the 5867 Super Speedster set. He started out with a "Detailed tractor truck with doors, cabin, and V6. Pretty much all parts used." He then built a Classic Car, Formula 1 Car, Jeep, Le Mans racer, Quad Bike, Race Car, Street Rod, and Unimog (all from the 5867 parts). There are several photos of each alternate for you to possibly make your own. Be sure to see them on his Brickshelf gallery.

These are great! My favourites are the classic car, the F1, and the Unimog. Great job by Nathan. Thanks for sharing

NK shows us again that it is possible to make anything you want with LEGO...

Lets hope he will make as much alternative models as Grohl did with the 8271

I very much like his classic car. I have tried to copy it for my little pleasures but I got stocked. Out of pure frustration I forget about his creations and now you are pulling me back. Arrrgggh!! My frustration aside, these are very inspirational ideas! Thanks a bunch!

BTW: this set is very nice for me, it allows a lot of possibilities. I tend to combine the styles and bricks with PF motorized base of models 8183/8184.

Wow, some great alternates in there Nathanael.

I just got this set delivered the other day... it might be time to open it up and start playing...
