September 10, 2024Sep 10 I wanna get some of those Dreamzzz figs... I've liked those characters "waking world" versions for a while. Maybe if they have a good GWP or similar offers after the current batch of Harry Potter crap I'll make a trip to the Lego store.
September 12, 2024Sep 12 Finally managed to score the newer BaM. Snagged the dark blue space torso, the dark grey Dreamzzz leather jacket, the dark azure Dreamzzz hoodie, 2 black Lego store employee torsos, 2 dark azure baseball caps, the magenta swimming cap, the purple mohawk, the white space shoulder armor, 2 pairs of the magenta legs with yellow feet, the Dreamzzz head with the glasses and silver moustache and beard, the head with the sunglasses with the city skyline reflection and the Dreamzzz head with the medium azure goggles. Would have gone for a second blue space torso (probably instead of the skyline sunglasses head or the shoulder armor) but I didn't want to press my luck too far.
September 12, 2024Sep 12 The nearest Lego Store in Toronto tells me that they finally got the accessories for the Q3 BAM figures in. Not the figures themselves, but if I want baguettes, butterflies, apples, etc they're in. I was in the day after they said they had the newest pieces in and the dark blue space torsos were already stripped from the BAM station but they still had them in the back so at least I got caught up on the current batch.
September 25, 2024Sep 25 I have seen reports that the puffer jacket is meant to be an accessory alongside the Dreamzzz BaM, has anyone actually seen that out in the wild? And are there any other accessories that specifically come with the Dreamzzz wave of BaM? Â

September 26, 2024Sep 26 My store in Charlotte NC had blue puffer jackets when I was there a couple of weeks ago.

September 26, 2024Sep 26 Update: This morning I opened the BAM box I purchased 2 weeks ago and...no puffer jackets. I then realized that when I picked them out in store I put them on top of the BAM station with some other accessories. When an employee learned I was looking for the new DreamZzz figures he brought out a cart of overstock so I could pick out the pieces I wanted straight from the bags they were shipped in. When I was finished I made my BAM purchase and walked out completely forgetting the puffer jackets sitting on top of the BAM station. So, back to the store this afternoon. When I explained what I was looking for I was told that they had received one bag of blue puffer jackets in the last BAM shipment but that it was a mistake and rather than sending them back they just emptied the bag into the BAM station. I thought I was out of luck but after much rummaging about I was able to find three jackets. Now why do they have blue puffer jackets in bulk bags like other BAM pieces? Pure speculation on my part, but I guess that next quarter we will get a winter themed BAM figure with the jacket as an accessory.
September 26, 2024Sep 26 I finally made it to a Lego store and they were only doing "pre-built" build-a-minifigs. Which seems weird. Or is that just how they do it now? But I got 3 of the dark blue Classic Space torsos (on the old guy from Dreamzzz).

So I would so it's the exception?

I know this location used to let you build your own. Now they have all the pre-builts (I want to say about 20 figures) numbered and behind glass. You tell the cashier which 3 you want and they get them from a drawer.
September 27, 2024Sep 27 When I was in the LEGO store last week I was shocked to find they had totally reorganized their BAM tower. This location for as long as I've been going there has always just had your standard jumble of old parts with some new mixed in. And all compartments had always been a total mix of everything.  I was shocked to only find the new parts in the tower. They had all the Dreamzzz parts on one side mostly separated into a section for heads, a section for torsos, a section for legs and a section for hair, hats & accessories. The other side of the tower was set up the same but with all the new Halloween parts. Of course there was some random mixing of the parts in each section but it was very easy to find exactly what I was looking for. I'll be curious to see if they keep this up in the future or revert back to the jumbled carnage that most BAM towers I've seen normally are. They did not have pre-built figures. I didn't get a chance to stop by my preferred store that day so I don't know if they had the newest parts in yet. They are very good about trying to keep the BAM parts organized by section in that store, one of the reasons I prefer visiting that store. Plus the Manager there is wonderful along with her staff and they have a much bigger PAB wall. They also have the Minifigure Factory there so also an additional tower of parts that they let you look through if you can't find what you want in the regular BAM tower. Plus they regularly give a 10% discount on damaged box items.

There are a few advantages to it, but this is "build a minifigure" not "point at a minifigure" So much better with parts, I try to get 15 useful parts these days anyway not 3 figs
September 28, 2024Sep 28 One of the stores around here is only selling the Halloween BaM as pre-built but that's because they are closing soon (or may have already closed) for a renovation into the newer store format. All the others around here had the newest parts (stuff from the wave with the big oversized dress piece, stuff from the Dreamzzz wave and stuff from the Halloween wave) out to pick from. Â
September 29, 2024Sep 29 Slightly off topic but was rewatching the horizon trailer and in the quick customization clip it shows a dark blue classic spaceman.Â

Our store still has the BAM tower as always but also has a selection of pre-built ones for people who are just looking for specific figures. Depending on whether the staff has time to put them together - the figure with the dark blue space torso seems to go as quickly as they can put them together.
October 28, 2024Oct 28 Photos are out in the usual place for the new Christmas parts - nothing too exciting. What is exciting, though, is that New Elementary has the summer BAM parts listed as coming to the online Bick a Brick service at the beginning of next month. If so, I think that's a very exciting development - I've been able to stay up on most of the parts thanks to a friend who can get the parts for me, but being able to get them online in larger quantities is a major plus.Â

And if they keep this up, that will mean the dark blue space torso, the Halloween witch... I'm excited.
October 29, 2024Oct 29 Based on what parts were in that wave, this is almost certainly what will have landed on PaB: 6492343/6492344 (one will be the painted head from the mime and one will be the swim goggles head from the swimmer) 6494790 (big skirt piece from the queen) 6500502 (dark azure baseball cap) 6492478 (red beanie/knit cap) 6493124 (queen hair) 6494787/6493322 (one will be the queen torso and one will be the mime torso) 6493320 (swimmer torso) 6493278 (horse rider torso) 6493265 (store worker torso) 6492480 (magenta swim cap) Â
October 29, 2024Oct 29 I wonder if this could just be a one time thing in response to the issues they had getting these parts out in the US.Â
