Just saw a picture of some supposed new Halloween themed BAM figs.  A Scarecrow, Bat Boy & Witch.  They look pretty good, hope they're real.

Batboy’s headpiece and winged torso are new colours / prints (lavender wings and ear print) and the witch has new torso/dress slope, plus new colour of the witch hat introduced in s14 CMF (black hat, orange hair)

Are any of the scarecrow parts new?

Not sure.  Was the torso ever released with hands in that color before?

The head is definitely new. That print looks a lot rougher than either the CMF Scarecrow or the other non-licensed scarecrow head that's around.

Halloween bunch looks.. alright, I suppose.

Have not been to BAM in ages, yet yesterday's visit was the first time I was REALLY struggling to find anything useful for me. Oh and they now cost 2 quid per fig. Well, at least we can now assemble our own figs again!

Other than polybag size stuff I've quit Lego but I always loved BAM. Can anyone here give me an update how this is going in Europe?

Due to work and research I was able to visit Lego shops around Europe and they all seemed to have prebuilt figures - never allowing me to change parts. They did advertise the online service but there aren't that that many parts online - compared to the old "build your figure in the store" - unfortunately. Do you folks know of any other way? I almost got some figures but  felt a bit pranked that I would have to get three figures with each one part I'd like instead of getting one with all the parts - as we could before. Like most figures had plain legs. Why would I pay money to get even more plain legs? With BAM I used to get dual molded legs and printed arms as much as possible :pir-grin:

Also I wonder - am I alone here or doesn't this online service feel a bit overly complicated for buying 3 figures? :look:
I think before it was really customer friendly but in the several countries I've visitedn  they didn't offer something like the old service anywhere..

Edit: some pictures of folks from the US have a crazy display of many figures. I've never seen more than like 7 on display! And those didn't have such interesting parts..

Why is BAM so obsessed with recolouring that particular witch's hat-hair? Not exactly complaining, but it's odd how many recolours of that piece have appeared in BAM. This one will go nicely with the bright orange beard part.

What a disappointment the Disney Springs Store is becoming. Compared to random stores in the malls in different cities and states this store is almost a laughing stock. Here is the Album on flickr of the wall https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjA2Rui of my most recent trip 8/13/22. The BAM displays are almost literally empty. They have been that way since June 25th. The wall is still SIGNIFICANTLY short of pieces and many of the parts are duplicated on the wall. I can't believe that a store this size takes no effort in their wall anymore. Malls with half the size walls have 6 rows full whereas this store is only doing 4 per column.

Nate, the selection in the PAB wall looks a little better than what was there two weeks ago.  The BAM towers are emptier than when I was there.  I visited several times while I was there and there were absolutely none of the larger plates that are there now in your pictures.  Pretty much everything is more or less mostly the same as what has been available at the two stores here in Colorado over the past few months.  We have had occasionally a few other more interesting parts but they go quickly so if one isn't there on the day they put them out you miss out.  When I was there at Disney Springs there was never anything larger than the 1x1 & 1x2 pieces other than some of the 1x4 plates and maybe a few 2x2 and 2x4 bricks and the red pennants.  No windows, Scaffold pieces, wheels & tires or larger plates that are in your pictures.  From what I remember there has always been some duplication in the Springs wall so that's nothing new but there are definitely way more duplicates the last couple of years.  Believe it or not the Disneyland Store is worse because they will have multiples of three & four bins with the exact same parts and their wall is mostly just the basic bricks & plates.  My local stores unfortunately usually also have empty bins ever since the pandemic started.  The one store has about half the size wall as the other and the bottom two rows and some other bins are usually totally empty there these days.  The other store with the larger wall tries to keep them well stocked but they usually do have about 6-12 empty or nearly empty bins.  Usually if it's something rarer there might be a handful of pieces left that you can see what you missed out on.  I seem to keep missing out on the plant parts by a day or two whenever I get to visit my stores.  My smaller supposedly busier store has new management this past year and up until about a month ago their BAM tower was full of sale priced polybags, mostly the Friends Flower & Chocolate Box one that they can't seem to get rid of at any Lego Store I've visited over the past few years.  My other store tries to keep the BAM tower decently stocked and the bins mostly properly sorted by part type.  The Manager there is great and she has one specific person responsible for overseeing the ordering & replenishing of parts for the BAM & PAB but they don't seem to get the most recent BAM parts as quickly as the Midwest & Northeast stores seem to.

Interesting. The larger plates were there on jun 25th cause i posted a flickr pic showing that i got them then, however perhaps they were gone and then replenished. Over the past 14 years that i have been going to the DowntownDisney/Disney Springs Orlando store this is the worst its been, though i had a hiatus from 2016-2019 then 2021. The BAM towers and walls in NJ and Pennsylvania that i visited last month put this "Flagship" store to shame. I can't believe that the person who would be in charge of ordering the pieces on Wednseday when the inventory is available, isn't able to get even basic blocks like 1x2 Masonary Profile LBG or even plain 1x3 black or plain 1x3 arches. The fact that the BAM towers are looking empty is bad practice for this store.

I have yet to find the 1x2 Masonary Profile brick in any color in a PAB wall.  Unfortunately for me the two stores I normally visit are 1 1/2 hours away so it's not like I can shop them on a weekly basis.  I only get to go every month or two.  It's a treat to visit when I go to Disney but the selection has been severely lacking in FL lately and has always been even worse in CA.  I didn't find the staff at Disney Springs to be very helpful this past trip unlike previous years.

I was at one of the Seattle-area shops a few days ago, and it was the first time PAB/ BAM were available to the public. The BAM kiosk was just about open to anyone, and there were kids sticking their arms into the pile of minifig parts, going through them with their hands and rubbing their noses in between. I get that masks now are optional but that was something else!

Yes BAM has always been that way. This is nothing new, lol.

If that's how most bins are that sucks. Mine is sectioned off into 8 sections. Accessories, hats, hair, heads, 2 torsos 2 legs.

The one store I usually go to has their BAM tower fairly well sorted.  Two sections each for heads, torsos & legs.  The other two sections are a mix of hats, hair & accessories.  The other store has everything totally mixed together all the time and only recently started using it again.  The Disney Park shopping district ones have always been bad because there are just too many people constantly in them they can't keep them sorted.

I’ve seen it before, but seeing the BaM station at the new Leicester store really makes me wish we had that here in the States. Digging for parts it tough in that cramped little tower. It would be so nice to have trays with all that extra usable counter space. AFOL problems....:cry_happy:
