Take this with a grain of salt since they are somewhat odd so might be fake:shrug_oh_well:

  1. woman in a pink dress with a gamer control
  2. lion knight with a unicorn head
  3. wizard
  4. policewoman
  5. pirate skeleton
  6. boy in bath-shorts
  7. ice-cream character

Some of those sound interesting if these end up being real.   I'd imagine there should be a few as well right?

Picture is out there on Jay's Brick Blog. They're real! The unicorn knight is amazing.

Other than the Unicorn Lion Knight & Pirate Skeleton these are kind of boring to me.  Actually most of the pieces are already available through PAB.  The BAM at Disneyland had a ton of most of the Wizard parts before they shut it down yesterday. They only had the hat at the Minifig Factory tower though, not sure about the Flask but I already had a bunch from the original release last year.  The torso for the Pirate Skeleton looks really nice but the rest of the figure is pretty common parts except the sword which I wouldn't waste a BAM accessory slot on such an inexpensive part.  The only new part for the Lion Knight is the Unicorn Head (looks like a leftover Vidiyo part).  But it is a cheaper way to build an army than using PAB.  The only other new parts I'm seeing is the skirt for the Gamer Woman but it's kind of meh, and maybe the blue & brown torso for the Ice Cream guy.  The Ice Cream head piece, Unicorn Head, Flask, Wizard Hat, Shield and the dual molded legs are the best parts pricewise to get from this bunch.  If the Unicorn Head Horn is the separate horn piece then the Knight figure has six pieces since Jay shows it with two accessories, shield & epee sword.

I'm with you. Not terribly enthusiastic about this release compared to some of the others recently. The pirate is nice though.

Might have been more excited by the knight, but I don't army build much (usually no more than 8-10 of anything). And I just placed a PAB order for the torsos and shields last night. D'Oh!

The unicorn knight is very strange. Ignoring the odd head entirely, it's also disappointing that the dual-molded legs are not printed like the Lion Knight's Castle. A weird selection that makes it easy for me to skip the 90 minute drive to the nearest Lego store.

That unicorn is all kinds of dumb, why is it a member of the lion knights? lol

Not really great for army building either since it uses the queen's torso with the gold belt instead of the foot soldier one.

I was hoping we'd get at least 10 for Q2.  Guess it'll only be the 7.  After seeing the picture, it's an OK series.  Definitely not as good as Q1 in my opinion.

If you told me beforehand that it was 7 figs of them there was 1 pirate, 1 knight, 1 wizard and 1 animal, I would be really hyped up.
Now on the other hand they are a disappointment:

  1. have very little interest in skeleton pirates
  2. the knight has no new useful parts (i have bought most of the Castle parts from PAB and LUGBulk already)
  3. the wizard is the most interesting, it is a fantastic fig and it probably means we will get the falcon knight re-released later in the year. However I already have it and have no need for a army of similar wizards in addition the owl is not back so the fig is not as good as the first one.
  4. only 1 animal and that is a normal fish :hmpf:

I guess I can use the female with the pink dress in a Castle setting, but that is about it from this round :sceptic:

I'm not finding any pictures of these new ones, where did you find them?

If you search for Jay's Brick Blog, you'll see them in a post from March 21.

Maybe they decided to go lighter this round since the last so was big. Which is fine by me, I still have to get that batch of parts.

I would prefer that if they have them pre-built they just let you choose the ones you want with the accessories being you choice.  I hate when they are already packed in the 3 packs because there is usually at least one I don't want.  The Mrs. Claus in the holiday set last year was just a mash-up of old pieces so not something I wanted and the Gingerbread Woman was a repeat from a set so the only one I was interseted in from that batch was the one with the Holiday Sweater. Also there are a lot of accessories that are not what I would chose as they are often times cheap things like the Party Hat, trophy, camera, umbrella, wand, pretzel, saxophone, spider, swords.  I prefer the more unique items like the flasks, some of the animals, more unique instruments, kooky pieces like the Boat, Duck float ring.  I also rather have an interesting hat or headpiece over a generic style wig.

That unicorn knight is just odd... bordering on a character from a bizarre horror movie.

I usually get all BAMs but will totally skip it this time.

The Unicorn is definitely not the most popular of this series.

I definitely prefer pre built figures, I usually wait till they have them online for order in Australia and buy them then, instead of scrounging around in bins full of parts that little kids have rummaged through with their sticky snotty hands.

Just swap figures between the packs. they're not glued. you won't break the product by doing it. I've always seen it as a convenience they're providing, but it's not meant to lock you in to exactly what they packed.

Fortunately I'm usually able to find what I want in the BAM towers without having to resort to messing with the pre-packaged ones.

I feel like having pre-built figures defeats the purpose of Build a Minifig, but I definitely agree that it can be frustrating to hunt for the pieces you want in a bin where a hundred strangers' hands have been rummaging, kids have been pulling the arms off of torsos, etc. All the stores I frequent seem to have given up on keeping the parts sorted by type, making it doubly difficult to sift through them. Is there a workable compromise that doesn't require having someone on staff just to hand out requested parts? Because that would be inconvenient for stores and customers alike.

And pre-built Build a Minifigure is MORE easier for visually impaired lego fans if they want to get these specific parts (for example, teal brick suit). Just relax ourselves a bit at BAM towers

As a deaf-blind AFOL, just offering my perspective.

You know what? Fair.

Some stores don't allow that, unfortunately.  During covid it was understandable but now BAM is open again the unwanted parts can be dumped back in the mixed bins.
