I missed out on all the great space sets of the 90's. I'm really sorry to have missed out on Futuron, Mtron, Spyrius, and UFO. I think that Unitron had an interresting look, as did Insectoids. Space Police I looked great also. I would also have had the chance to get some of the Aquazone Stingrays sets, they were really neat looking.

One series I regret missing out on is Seatron, that would've been an awesome series. I like the idea of different environments in the space theme. It's a shame that it was a subtheme that never made it out of development.

I've realized that during my dark ages I missed out on quite a few really nice themes and subthemes. I really regret missing the vikings, western, the initial Harry Potter, and even Knights Kingdom 2 (all except the minifigs that is). But more than anything I regret missing all the adventurers themes.

What about you guys? Any particular themes or even just sets that you regret missing out on?

I missed most of the classic Pirate line and a major chunk of the classic Castle line. I regret both, greatly.

Most other stuff that I missed, was either a)not much to freak about or b)intentionally missed.

I maybe the only one, but, I miss the Dino Attack theme.

I thought the sets very very cool. We got a big helicopter, a hummer, and cool tank. The really liked the Dinos as well. Personally, I wish the theme lasted a couple of more years. They could have done a base with traps and cages. A Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and Plesiosaur in Dino Attack "size" and "style" would have been cool, IMO!

But, again, thats just me!

And as others have mentioned, the Modular Buildings, I got into the series too late and missed Market Street and Cafe Corner!

I didn't ENTIRELY miss that theme but, I only got the one small set. I was busy picking up other themes, 'waiting' to pick up that wickedly cool chopper and then *POOF*...it was gone.

The top of my list would definitely be Batman. To quote myself from another post:

But, unlike quite a lot of people, who like superheroes when they're young, and grow out of them as they get older, I never liked Batman when I was a kid, but now I really, really do.

Not that I was a little kid back then, but I literally only got into Batman very recently. The sets really didn't catch my interest when they were out. :wall:

That's one of the reasons I'm excited about the upcoming Superheroes theme.

On a similar note, I now try to get at least the smallest set from every theme (Scarab Attack from Pharaoh's Quest, Alien Striker from Alien Conquest) so I don't regret completely missing a theme later.

I used to do the same thing, though I somehow got 'off track' with that a while back. I really tried to stick to it when they still had battle packs for town/castle/space, because even if I didn't happen to like any of the other sets for those themes at the time, I'd still be quite happy snagging five or six new minifigures.

Miss:Fantasy castle, Pirates(Not Potc, the originals.)and Bioncle.

Regret:Exo force and Aqua raiders.

I really would of wished I would of been able to pick up more Aqua raiders but it was not the case. :cry_sad:

Fantasy era Castle. I was seeing those sets on the shelves right when I was starting to look at the Lego shelves to find toys for my daughter, but I knew it wasn't right for her at the time. Started buying Lego for myself right after they phased out the Fantasy. Kingdoms is great, but it's just not the same without the fantasy element.

You obviously can't buy all that there is even when you are out of your Dark Ages. I regret not buying many of the trains that were released in the 2000s, especially the three Santa Fe cars that I was missing to complete the collection. I also regret missing most of the pre 2000 space sets because I was either too young or just plain my parents didn't buy them to me. I did have a lot of great sets from the era though.

Im anoyed that I was in the dark ages when alot of wonderful themes appeared like western but I mostly regreat not collecting themed sets like Batman and Star Wars that is way too expensive to get now days. Im currently into Star Wars and want the whole collection but this is an expensive line to get into if you where not there at the start. I always saw Indiana sets and thought Ill get one one day but still to this day I dont own any and the theme is now discontunued  .

Rock Raiders. No Doubt. I was 7 years old when it came out. It was the LEGO theme of my childhood.

The one I asked for christmas/birthdays, the one I bought the game for, the one I even bought the books for :) and of course the one I made up my own sets for :)

I know the Power Miners are just Rock Raiders 2.0 but I wish they had released more rockraiders.

I wouldn't mind bringing the X-Pods back. And if Creator sets were more like Designer sets.

I missed a lot of the cool themes from the '90s like Islanders, Insectoids, and Rock Raiders, but I've bought some on eBay and keep a look out for them at yard sales and such.

When I was a little boy I used to buy action figures and LEGO, but mostly action figures. I didn't give Harry Potter a chance:(

Im a Star Wars collector and started in 2007 but missed so many sets over the first 8 years. Ive bought some off ebay but they are generally is too expensive. I also like the Batman theme but they are even more expensive than the Star Wars sets, and still waiting to see one cheap enough to pick one up. I had a few Pirates as a kid but missed alot of them. Western is cool as well as some of the space themes.

Now days I try and get at leat one set from each theme that I like. I bought 1 Toy Story set (army men), I harry potter, (freeing doby) just so I had at least one of that theme. I need to put most of my savings towards those over priced Star Wars sets.

I missed out on the original Pirates series, but I've been lucky enough to pick up some of my favourites (Black Seas Barracuda and Caribbean Clipper) in the last few years. The thing I really missed out on were the 9V trains, which is bizarre since I was heavily into both Lego and HO scale model trains, but never combined the two hobbies. Living in a small town limited my Lego selection to the sub-$100 sets.

Well, cross your fingers that once the new one comes out, the old one will dip a few dollars.

I wish they would bring back the adventure line that had the Chinese architecture. I would love an ornate Chinese building to display.

No theme regrets as such, but wish i didnt miss out on taj mahal, the first few modulars, and most of all that i didnt sell my entire collection when i was a kid for $400. it had every set released in aus for about 10 years

I wish I got back into Lego around 2007 when Fantasy Era castle theme was going.

They're so expensive on ebay!

Space Police I and Blacktron I. I didn't even know about the sets until years later and I was only 3 or 4 when they were released. I never cared much for the second iterations of those themes.

It kills me that I don't have the Western sets. Same with the Fantasy era of Castle. In both cases I would buy the occasional LEGO set during those time periods, but never managed to have gotten the ones I now realize I could use the most.

Time Cruisers  , Western, Adventures, Vikings, Studios, Batman, and Indiana Jones.... :cry_sad:

My dark ages were very dark indeed...
