Starwars4J Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 very nice! Just wondering, have you ever considered using waterslide decals? Quote
optimus-convoy Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Those are some great custom minifigs. *y* Very clean paint jobs. *y* Quote
Vader Posted July 23, 2006 Author Posted July 23, 2006 very nice! Just wondering, have you ever considered using waterslide decals? I have done in the past but ive always found them to be to easily damaged, i prefer normal label paper becasue they can be handled alot more. Quote
captaintau Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Very nice *y* Any chance of Wily Kit, Wily Kat and Snarf? Quote
JoeMI6 Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Wow, those are all great figs Vader. The Spidey ones are done very well. I have only one problem though, on the Venom fig, the head decal looks a bit out of proportion, but he's very well done otherwise. Be sure to put up a notice if any of these great figs are ever put up for sale ;-). Keep up the good work. Quote

That worked on a few figs I have like a charm Quote

ApophisV Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 I'm missing the words I would need to describe what an extremely great job you've done once again!!!! 8- Quote
Jipay Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Since you are using games workshop products, here's the hint that a pro painter gave me (he has been published in white dwarf on many occasions) : use GW varnish spray. It gives it a nice look without looking too bright :-) On the figs, well you know, it's excellent as always so no need to mention it :-P Quote
Starwars4J Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Yes, what DID you use to paint? especially the thundercats hairpiece... Is a spray really that much better? Did you put a basecoat? And what site did you buy it from? Thanks X-D Quote
Vader Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 Ok lets answer some of these questions :-D Cap: Im working on all the Thundercats and villans so you can expect a wileycat, kit and snarf. Joe: Youre right about the head of venom and this is something i want to change. Apo: Thanks i wasent sure as its been a long time since i read the whole clone saga and the scarlet spider tale. Jip: Thanks for the tip i shall give it a go. St4j: I use paints from the Games Workshop, they can be found online quite easily. Thanks to all for their kind comments, so what other spiderman villans do you guys want to see?? im willing to have a go at any so let me know and ill see what i can do. *sweet* Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Wow, these figures are excellent. I think Venom looks a bit odd, but the rest... and Scarlet Spidey (:-P) is absolutely incredible. External webshooters for the win! If you're gonna make more, can I suggest Vulture? A more accurate Doc Ock? Rhino? Carnage? Mysterio? The posibilities are endless. Quote
Vader Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 Ok thats a start :-D , if anyone has links to pics of the villans they want that would help and also a pic of the new venom would be good. Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 The green goblin looks so sweet, I love the hat extension *sweet* Quote

BigDaddy Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Very nice! I like the black Spidey and the Scarlet Spider the best! Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 People who know me know I hate Marvel and most American heroes in tights junk. But man, you did a great job here. Venom warrants an elongated head, though I'm not sure how to pull it off. Green Goblin looks like one of many green-faced Dragonball Z enemies. Scarlet Spider... NICE job. Thundercats... wow. Your work is proof that one doesn't need Kubrick-sized figures to get (convincing) character accuracy... just someone skilled to work in their design department. Why couldn't you work at Lego? *sigh* lol at chewed-up Cheetara. X D Quote
