nine09nueve Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Would "off topic" be the best place to link to a video of my 4 year old making a Lego Darth Vader Father Christmas joke? Quote
Rick Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Would "off topic" be the best place to link to a video of my 4 year old making a Lego Darth Vader Father Christmas joke? Community. Quote
nine09nueve Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Community. Dear Rick - yes thank you that would make sense (I'd probably struggle to create a new Forum in order to post my son's joke!) Quote
Dinobrick Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) Where dose this belong? It's sci fi, but not like star warsy stuff. Where should I put it? I appreciate the help. Sorry, the picture didn't upload. Edited October 28, 2014 by Dinobrick Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Well, Sci Fi goes in the Sci Fi sub-forum As for posting pictures, there are a number of helpful tutorials to follow. Also, in the hopes you see this before post no10: The New User section has all the help you could need Quote
Dinobrick Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the help. Do I start a new thread, or is there a existing one I can use? Edited October 28, 2014 by Dinobrick Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 A new thread for a MOC is a must unless it is a contest entry that has to be posted in an entry thread. New threads let other users know that the MOC is new. Quote
Dinobrick Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Thanks, how many Mocs am I limited to? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 As many as you can build? There really is no upper limit, only so far as your collection and imagination stretch There is flood control on the forum that might stop you posting six new threads all at once but we don't impose any limit to non-contest MOCs . Quote
Dinobrick Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 (edited) Great to hear! And I promise I wound flood you with threads :) Edited October 30, 2014 by Dinobrick Quote
Zeev Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 If I am in the process of building a MOC (a pirate ship) but it is still in a very fluid state of design where would I post it if I want feedback at an early stage? I would I post it like a more complete MOC or is there someplace that advice/brainstorming/studies go? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Posting a WIP thread in Pirates means you can get all kinds of tips and feedback, it is quite a tradition for MOC builders to post WIP of large builds so don't worry about it. Quote
Zeev Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Thanks for the response. It look liked most of the WIP MOC were already planned out in detail, so I didn't know if there was someplace I missed that was for the more formative stages of a build. Quote
Velouria Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 So where should posts and MOCs relating to the new Lego Elves theme go? Quote
dr_spock Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 So where should posts and MOCs relating to the new Lego Elves theme go? Action and Adventure seems to be where 2015 Elves resides. Quote
Velouria Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Thank you! I'll have to look into posting there then. Quote
THERIZE Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Where should LEGO racers tiny turbos belong to? I can't find a subforum that would be logical. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Special Themes is home to LEGO Racers. A Tiny Turbo would belong there Quote
mediumsnowman Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Where would a Jurassic Park MOC go, Special Themes or Licensed? Jurassic World is definitely Licensed, but I'm not sure if Jurassic Park falls under that as well. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 It depends what kind. Are you making a fantasy landscape for Orcs, Trolls and the like? Then it is Historic themes. Is it a rugged alien planet landscape? SciFi is the place. Is it a nice park or outdoor location? Town might be a good fit. Is it an architecture set scaled landscape? Then it will go in Special themes. Quote
Darkdragon Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Where would a Jurassic Park MOC go, Special Themes or Licensed? Jurassic World is definitely Licensed, but I'm not sure if Jurassic Park falls under that as well. There were some JP licences in the Studios line way back when, and now JW is out so I'd say it should go in Licensed. Quote
kresty Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) Ok, I don't want to mess up, so where does a modern (Disney so it could be licensed) cruise ship MOC go? Lego Disney Wonder in Hawaii On Ideas Adventure has boat-y stuff. Pirates has boat-y (but older) stuff. Licensed has Disney stuff. Which one? :) Somewhere else? Rick Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Ok, I don't want to mess up, so where does a modern (Disney so it could be licensed) cruise ship MOC go? Licensed, if you want to emphasise the Disney aspect of it, or Special Themes, since it's microscale. Quote
kresty Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Licensed, if you want to emphasise the Disney aspect of it, or Special Themes, since it's microscale. Ack, Ok, thanks! Quote
