Posted May 26, 201113 yr My first MOC since emerging from the dark ages. It is basically an expansion of the beautiful "10193 Medieval Market Village". I added a bit to the buildings and created a "just inside the city walls" feeling. This is a cross section of a much larger city. You see a part of the old city wall to the rear. This is the city that grew up between the old city wall and the new outer wall. Entering the city From above With some labels for the buildings Just inside the walls, with some guards resting View toward the old city gates and the market, with the blacksmith in front. From the other side. The old city gate and the road leading up to the castle. The market The same moc on mocpages.com Edited to conform to image size standards on eurobricks Edited May 26, 201113 yr by Rufus Indexed
May 26, 201113 yr Very nice village. Village making is my favorite part of castle and I love yours. I especially like the blacksmith.
May 26, 201113 yr AWESOME creation 'Gahrian' - but please resize your photos before 'ISC' comes along. Brick On 'Gahrian' !
May 26, 201113 yr Really nice details here and an excellent first adult MOC. The walls hewn into rock work well, and I like the water running down past the blacksmith.
May 26, 201113 yr A stunning way of integrating the MMV in a medieval town I especially like how you expanded the smithy and how you made the walls blend in with the mountainous parts. The way you set the figs also is interesting and adds to the scenario looking like an actual scene from the past (minus the elf, of course ) The beggar in his little shack right next to the outer wall is well done, too.
May 26, 201113 yr This is really beautiful. You could see the original in most of the buildings but they are absolutely smart upgraded. The exteriour is very nice too. Trees, green and a lovely track in it, what more could you need.
May 26, 201113 yr A great creation. I love that you have incorporated a new and old walled entrance to the castle. A suggestion would be to make the inner/old wall look more beaten and run down with moss growing on the older walls. Love the Inn and Blacksmith designs and the aqueduct is a nice touch.
May 26, 201113 yr Great moc. I enjoy looking. Are there plans to expand the it? That would be amazing! Keep mocing :-)
May 26, 201113 yr Author Thanks for all the kind words! I really appreciate it. AWESOME creation 'Gahrian' - but please resize your photos before 'ISC' comes along. Thanks for informing me. I've resized the images to conform to the guidelines. A suggestion would be to make the inner/old wall look more beaten and run down with moss growing on the older walls. Very good idea, I'll make use of your advice on the follow up. At the moment I'm working on a new MOC, but plan to make a larger version of this in the near future. I've learned a lot since I bult this one (back in january/february) Are there plans to expand the it? That would be amazing! It has already been demolished :) I'm working on another project at the moment, but the next moc will be medieval themed again, so I'll take the feedback from this thread with me. Thanks again all!
May 27, 201113 yr Wow! What a great MOC to bust out of yr dark ages with! I love the way you incorporated the MMV water wheel with the little aqueduct/race. Can't wait to see what you build next.
May 27, 201113 yr Wow, a beutiful layout you got there! I like the nature in front of the castle, it looks so natural and full of life. a great entrance from your darkage!!!
May 27, 201113 yr You say it's just an extension to MMV, but really it's a magnificent MOC. The details are so brilliant and realistic. Well done, and thanks for sharing!
June 14, 201113 yr Really nice! I love the way you extended the Blacksmith shop from the original Medieval Market Village. =D
