Wich color fits well as a Pirate cave ( inside a mountain) ? Black Or many types of Grey ? Well, I've never seen black rock. Since pirates were active around the Caribbean and Mexico, a black volcano wouldn't work as that would be in the Pacific. So I would say gray walls, and maybe in the back of the cave, black to make it look dark in the cave. Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted June 2, 2011 Governor Posted June 2, 2011 Usually grey works best for rocks. But why did you need to ask? Couldn't you have created some small experiments and then compare the two to decide which colour worked best? Quote
Big Cam Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 As the title says: many types of Grey or Black? You should really try to make titles that have direct purpose. Your title just says black our grey, why didn't you put the past about building a cave in the title, it would save everyone who doesn't care from entering the thread. Your current title is just to vague. Usually grey works best for rocks. But why did you need to ask? Couldn't you have created some small experiments and then compare the two to decide which colour worked best? Mister Phes is right, are you really going to really up our responses and build what we tell you too? In the end the only thing that matters is if you like it. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 You can use some black near the water, rock often gets darker over time there. The rest of the black might indeed look good at the back of the cave, to make things look more dark. You've made a cave 1 time already, what did you think of those colours? Quote

I used black last time, but I was thinking of grey because there is no black rock.... but: if I use my grey I cant use any other colors for the building. I should use white then, but I dont have much white lego Quote
Captain Becker Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 I would only use black colour to Volcanos, as they are a bit darker than normal Rocks. But for the montains etc. Grey all the way! Captain Becker Quote
