According to Bricklink, the 41879 short legs single unit piece has never been available in green, but if it were it'd be perfect for completing the gnome-to-workshop elf transformation.

The clown in the upcoming Collectible Minifigs series 5 has short legs in green. :classic:

Hmmm... how to think like Lego thinks... it doesn't have to be related to a post office, because a giant Christmas tree and a frozen pond are not related to a toy shop and a bakery either.

Maybe a train platform attached to a couple of bits of track? The Holiday Train needs to pull in somewhere.

Maybe a park bench with a picnic on it.

Maybe an arbor, like this:

These are my three guesses.

Let's bring the image across to here shall we.....

David suggested an arbor, and what do we see on the box art ?

Oh, it's worth buying this just for the postal truck !

Now we wait for more pictures....bring on the hi-res !

Thanks for the pic, it's a nice looking set for sure, a definite inprovement on last year's bakery.

I don't know, I think that's more of a gazebo. :sceptic: I can't make out what's on the inside of it.

The post office is going to look weird in my village with a mostly bare roof when the other two both have totally white rooves, but this one looks like it has a steeper roof so I guess snow doesn't gather as easily. Anyway, this can be easily modified if I think it stands out too much.

The truck looks kind of weird, need to get a better look at the way it's built. I think it might have a giant red crate on the back, or something? I don't know. Either way, more vintage vehicles are welcome - it can go with my fire truck and the Indiana Jones and Pharaoh's Quest vehicles. I might MOC a Lego Car Museum eventually...

The building looks great though, if you took away the clock and the post boxes and other bits and pieces you could probably fit it in the MMV.

I haven't got my Bakery yet, but I'm already looking forward to this one more.

One can never have enough Train Stations.

Interesting news. I'm glad I started the collection a few years ago, and one set per year works out well.

I only got the Toy shop last christmas, my parents got it me as a surprise, it has been on the mantle piece since. So i will probably get the bakery this year, then the post office next year...

I definitely prefer the roof technique on the new post office. The mix of black and white slope bricks looks great. I might have to retrofit the previous two buildings to match. I was never fond of the Bakery's hodge-podge of slanted plates mixed with slope bricks for the dormers.

I see plates with white tiles on them, not 100% positive, but that's how it looks to me.

Looking forward to this set...It will go great with my other two...

Christmas brings the perfect excuse for an Adult to build Lego and have it on display at home :)

I love the winter sets. Let's dig through the blurriness and see what's going on here...

I count 7 minifigures! We've got a postal truck. By that figure, he's got a couple of letter-printed tiles and a knapsack on the ground.

The boy in the foreground has a dog and a bone in his hand. I can't make out what he's holding. Is that a whip?

On the bench is a lady with a package. Next to her I guess is a snow pile. It looks like a man in a green parka is shoveling snow onto that pile. Or maybe the snow pile is actually a little white dog or cat.

In the back there are a couple of musicians. One has a banjo, and the other one has a saxaphone?

There's one last woman in the back putting a letter into one of two red mailboxes. Hopefully she'll have a dress printing.

It looks like the post office has an array of bay windows going in a semi-circle. That looks like a fun build. I like the white tiles on the roof for the snow.

It's hard to make out what's going on inside that gazebo. There can't be more minifigures back there. It's got some inverted arches in a tan color. That star on top was also seen in one of the other winter sets as a christmas tree topper.

I'm not sure if my eyes are tricking me, but that lamppost is pretty interesting. It's got a curved arm coming down that holds the lamp. We've got a couple of little pine trees too.

I wonder where the lightbrick goes in this set. Maybe it lights up the star on top of the gazebo. Maybe you press down on the star and that lights it up.

Okay, I'm done here. All will be clear when higher definition photos come out in a few weeks or so.

No questions asked I will buy a copy or two of 10222. Very good piece colors and civilian fig booster like the other winter sets.

I think it's supposed to be a leach for the dog, made out of a curled whip. He's trying to lure it back with a bone.

Aaah! I spent ages trying to figure that out. All I could think of was the that the guy on the left is holding a kite, and the guy on the right is holding a reel. The musicians make much more sense.

You think so? It's really hard to tell. I can see horizontal lines on the roof, which I interpreted as the layers of slope bricks. I thought the white splotches were white slope bricks interspersed with the black slope bricks. I dunno, maybe you're right though, and maybe they are black plates with white tiles.

The truck has me a little confused about the intended time period of these sets. The first two Winter sets were sorta vague and "timeless," without anything to indicate a specific time or place. They felt kinda Victorian-era, especially with the horse-drawn wagon, but you really could have made them fit in any time period that you wanted. Now, with the inclusion of the truck, that gives the Winter theme a more modern feel. Not saying that's good or bad ... just interesting.

I agree with the roof looking like plates and a few tiles. See how thin it is at the front, that can't be slope bricks.

Well, the toy shop has a robot... or at least that's what I'd call that thing with arms, a green light and an antenna. :) So, together with the vintage truck now, I'd rather place them around 1950-60. Or in the present in a rather remote area.

Now I'm wondering where I could place this year's winter village set, seeing that the shelf I had put the last two during winter (before I disassembled them to use the bricks otherwise) is now occupied by Queen Anne's Revenge...

The woman who post the letter has white hands. Is she the first minifigure in the winter village theme with gloves?

No, not by a long shot... the female caroler in the Toy Shop set has white hands, and all of the kids in the same set have gray or white hands.

In the Bakery, the photo boy has white hands, and the tree vendor has gray.

Alright! Have to build the Toy Shop and Bakery again sometime. Apparently I don't remember these sets very good :sceptic:
