BrickSev Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 If you want totally custom clones check out clone army customs. They sell just custom clones. The prices are kinda high, but I've bought from there before and they are very well done. I have been always tempted to buy some custom Clone Troopers but since most of them are shipped from USA I never actually bought for shipping cost reasons. Then there is the fact I'd prefer to make my own customs but I have very few "white clones" and I don't want to permanently alter them. So when I want to make some "custom-like" clone I add marking with colored electric tape (so I don't permanently alter the Minifigure) and add accessories and custom made weapons :) The customs you mentioned have, of course, a much better quality. They are quite unique pieces Quote
Kodan Black Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Grabbed the Mobile Heavy Cannon for parts at Target since it was 40% off. Managed to get the last one. Quote
BrickTamland Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Got Utapau BP as a gift. Happily surprised by the stud shooters. Quote
Azrielsc Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 How much for the R2, if you don't mind me asking? I'd like to get the set, but only if it's a really good deal. Hey Chills, you won't want to know... I am in Singapore and the prices of discounted sets are still more expensive than retail prices in USA! :( Quote

My hats off to you for your dedication to SW LEGO... willing to pay those prices. Quote

I got to do what I got to do after the Lego bug bit me hard in the rear! :) Just started my collection in Aug this year and the sets keep piling up faster than I can build them! Quote

I only have a few that arent tampered with and i want to keep thos that way. The problem I have is the only "white Clones" I have are those from 2002/2005 so I want to not alter them just because I want to still have the "original template". Just a personal preference and it's more due to "nostalgic reason": to have the "old" Minifigure unaltered Since it appears next year we'll have a Stormtroopers battle pack, I'll proceed to custom them without any intention to return them to normal. Well perhaps I'll keep few "unaltered" but if I can buy them in the numbers of my Kashyyyk Troopers, I think I won't have problems in permanently altering several of them Quote

I love the new Kashyyyk. I like the Dog Troopers more though since ths is the first time you get to actaully see them in lego form. I have a custom stormtrooper Jesse. its not the best but it works Quote
BrickSev Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Right. I love the new Kashyyyk. I like the Dog Troopers more though since ths is the first time you get to actaully see them in lego form. I have a custom stormtrooper Jesse. its not the best but it works Among the 2014 Battle Packs my favorite Minifigure is the indeed the Airborne Trooper. The Kashyyyk battle pack, however, has the advantage to give us an "all Clones" pack. For each pack we buy we also get a Republic vehicle. It may not be the most impressive but it's very useful to increase our armies. 10-20 Swamp Speeders make a good addition to any Clone Army. The Tri-droid coming with Utapau pack is very useful if you are also building a Separatist army, though. Our customs will always have a special value to us. They don't have to be perfect since they are our own creations and they are unique. From what I read 2015 will be an interesting year for army building Quote

BrickSev Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Yes. I can't wait till the new Shadow Trooper battle pack comes out Me too. It is going to be a wonderful period for army building. Geonosis Clones, Stormtroopers, Shadow Troopers even Senate Commando pack and a Battle droid carrier for those interested in Separatist armies Btw may I ask how you "customized" your Stormtrooper Jesse you mentioned before? rollermonkey Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Defender-class on sale and Coruscant Police cruiser Well, LEGO dropped the ball. I saw the confirmation screen, but I never got an e-mail, and now the order has vanished like dust in the wind. ' Called Customer Service and they were surprisingly unhelpful. Reordered the cruiser, but the Defenders are long gone. Quote
par016 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I recently grabbed a yellowing DSII (10143) off EBay for cheap. It shouldn't cost me too much to replace all the yellowed parts on BrickLink. -Pete Quote

BigJoe Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Defender-class on sale and Coruscant Police cruiser I love the cruiser. I don't have one myself but it is one my top to get list. I love how they Finally bring in more CG/CP vessels. I love the new Ph.2 armor as well. tho i don't know if the new ashoka should be with rogue units or republic? Quote
BrickSev Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I took a blue sharpie and drew the Republic Symbol on his helmet and did the armor as well So you made a 501st trooper I wish my "free hand drawing" skills would be so good lol. Anyway I too plan to turn the next Stormtroopers I manage to acquire into 501st Clone Troopers: after all we can consider the Stormtrooper armor a sort of "phase III" Clone Trooper armor Quote
Schneeds Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Picked up a pristine used 10019 for $300 w/ manual. Looks like it had been just sitting in a basement for the last 12 years. The stickers look brand new and no discoloration on any of the pieces. I must say it is one of my new favorite pieces; it looks so much more impressive in person than in pictures. Quote

I mean considering the fact that they are the next step up. so technically Imperial Snow Toopers are ph.2 to the regular Snow Troopers. My question is though, The imperial guard is higher than the Senate guard who is higher than the CG. So where does the Shadow Guard come into play? Quote

As for what I remember Shadow Guard is an elite special operations unit that does not fall into ordinary hierarchy. They had a specific task and took orders directly from the Emperor. Quote

The Shadow Guard is no longer canon, so they're irrelevant. Grabbed the Ghost+Phantom for a total of ~$60. Wouldn't have paid full price but figured I'd bite the bullet because they were half off. With the six movies falling into Canon and all the rest falling into Legends? Anyway it appears Lego will release Shadow Guard Minifigure so, it's not so irrelevant Quote
