BrickSev Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) I placed an order on Lego shop and the SW sets are 5 Imperial Troop Transports, 3 Shadow Troopers packs and 1 Hailfire droid. However I run into a sort of system bug. I got the order confirmation page with its number, but my order does not appear in the order status and I didn't get email. I called the Customer service and they can't find my order but it is listed in my VIP account history (only the points redeemed) Very strange. They told me to call them tomorrow and they'll sort it out. The transaction on my card got the authorization, though. Beside when I added items to the "bag" the Flower Cart set was not added and the points were not doubled (I was eligible for that promotion too). They say they will fix it too but it's a very strange phenomenon. Rough day for Lego Shop site, it seems. Fingers crossed, I can't wait to add those Minifigures to my growing army. With them I should reach 157 Clone Troopers/Stormtroopers :) EDIT: The problem appears to have been solved. My Grand (well not that grand lol) Brick Army will get its reinforcements soon Edited January 5, 2015 by BrickSev Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Well, I bought a Phantom set a few weeks ago when it was reduced at Target ($20 instead of $25), and I finally opened it today. It's not a awful little set for what you get. I wouldn't call it the greatest SW set ever, but it's a swooshable little ship and the folding wings are kind of cute. I just wish it had storage for Chopper--I have him holding onto the outer hull for dear life. I do think it's overpriced at $25, but the markdown made the purchase tolerable. Quote
Meiko Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Wasn't really a purchase since it was gifted to me from LEGO on behalf of Brickipedia to review, but I got 75060 Slave I in late November. It was a great set, being my first LEGO Star Wars set in a very long time, and first UCS set in an even longer time. It's impressive to see how far Star Wars and UCS have come as far as detail and design quality go. Every friend I've had at my house since I built it has been enthralled with it, them not even being LEGO fans. You can read my review here if you'd like. Quote

It does have a spot for Chopper. The top portion of the main hull is only held on by a couple of studs, it's meant to be taken off. Chopper fits neatly inside each foot standing on one of those 1x2 grate pieces. I was also pleasantly surprised at this set. It is a fun build and a cool little set, especially for the price. Quote

Really any store if I see a set I'm interested in. I don't get Star Wars sets all the often since I never followed the Expanded Universe and most of the recent sets for are of ships I don't know or already have an older version of. On occasion there are sets that I really like that I'll buy just because it looks cool, like 9500 which I bought at a LEGO Brand Retail store. Quote

It also comes with an unique helmet we can put on our Clones Trooper/Stormtrooper if we need to set a particular Minifigure (an officer/specialist, for example) apart Quote
rollermonkey Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 So... I was moving some stuff around and I dropped the ITT about 4 feet, and it broke into about 50 pieces. Not very sturdy, that model is. Quote

BrickSev Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I just got my 5 Imperial Transport Battle Packs, 3 Shadow Troopers packs and 1 Hailfire Droid. If I find the time I'll write a little review If you are curious about a particular set among these let me know so I'll start with it and share my thoughts with the community Personally I'm quite curious about the Hailfire Droid Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I went all over Johnson City, TN and no luck on 2015 sets. I did find the Dark Side book and the Sheev minifigure is beautiful. Quote

I can't say you shouldn't or wont but personally I wouldn't I had to rebuild a TIE Advanced awhile back after it being destroyed for 6 years. I had fun building it again. I left it as it came and now it sits with my other nearly hundred sets. Can't wait to get some shadow troopers. I hope our stores have them. Quote

I got my three Shadow Troopers packs yesterday I haven't built them yet (I was so curious about the Hailfire Droid: I'm not a Separatists fan but I was truly curious) but from what I saw they are nice. The Troopers better than the Guards (who have no printed head but just a translucent read headpiece) I plan to build them tonight or tomorrow Quote

Well it depends. Would the Shadow Guards find a place/role in your army? If not, the Imperial Transport Battle Pack will give you 4 units while the Shadow Troopers just 2 but if you really like the Shadow Troopers you should buy what you like most Quote

I remember the Clone Wars Episode when there were the "Jedi Guards" at the trial, they can be also used in such role, among many other roles, for example Quote

Indeed, that was the very scene I was talking about The Shadow Troopers set also gives us a little nice speeder. It's a set perfect for our armies' "special operation forces" needs EDIT: @ Jedi-Bendu: Is the mouse included with the Skyhopper set? I'm very curious Edited January 9, 2015 by BrickSev Quote
