BigJoe Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Indeed, that was the very scene I was talking about The Shadow Troopers set also gives us a little nice speeder. It's a set perfect for our armies' "special operation forces" needs EDIT: @ Jedi-Bendu: Is the mouse included with the Skyhopper set? I'm very curious yI'm sure the mouse is included. i do no that much. Having that speeder opens up a lot for spec forces. yes its only a two seat-er but you could alter a few to carry a unit or squad. Jedi-Bendu Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 @ Jedi-Bendu: Is the mouse included with the Skyhopper set? I'm very curious LOL. When I was building it my 3,5 year old son Lucas said: "There's a mouse with your spaceship!". Of course, I told him it's not a mouse but a womp rat (and yes: it is included with the Skyhopper set) Quote
BrickSev Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) LOL. When I was building it my 3,5 year old son Lucas said: "There's a mouse with your spaceship!". Of course, I told him it's not a mouse but a womp rat (and yes: it is included with the Skyhopper set) Very funny, in a good way of course lol Of course it's a womp rate That's one of the many things I love of Lego. They know how to make us smile. Just a little thing like that can add a lot of fun to the already fun building process. Not to mention the remarkable attention to details. There may be other companies trying, and failing, to "imitate" but Lego will be always the best EDIT: Typo corrected. Edited January 9, 2015 by BrickSev Quote
Fives Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 On New Years Eve, I picked up a bunch of the new sets, along with a couple of this past summer's sets: Imperial Star Destroyer, Mos Eisley Cantina, Azure Angel, TIE Advanced Prototype, Ezra's Speeder Bike, two Imperial Troop Transports and two Shadow Trooper battle packs. Its been a good Christmas season Quote
Psyence Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 UCS Slave I... and anxious to build it. Quote
BrickSev Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 yI'm sure the mouse is included. i do no that much. Having that speeder opens up a lot for spec forces. yes its only a two seat-er but you could alter a few to carry a unit or squad. The speeder is very small but it's still nice (for a Battle Pack level vehicle) A "two men" speeder does not look very odd. BARC Speeders are one man vehicle, for example. Also it's a common Special Operation tactic to offer multiple targets so if a speeder is shot down the team's strength is not completely compromised (namely only two casualties instead of the whole squad) Sorry for the late reply. I missed your post when I posted reply yesterday, a quite frantic day Quote
Roders Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Well after looking at it all day long I cracked and put a bid on a UCS ISD 10030 and turns out I won the auction. Now I'm excited but also scared because my wife will kill me. Quote

If I may ask Anyway congratulation and I'm sure your wife will be patient and understanding: we are always patient and understanding with the persons we care about Quote

BrickSev Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 £555 It's a good price. The market value is 896£ in UK, 1485$ in the USA and 1370€ in the rest of EU so you saved about 340£ on the current market value. Not bad Happy building Quote
eckarty Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I bought Death star Las year and that was it. In my country, star wars sets prices are doubled compared to US prices! Quote
arc Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Picked up the new aat yesterday. Despite its small size, I really like it. Or as jar jar would put it, "Mesa tinkin dis set is bombad!" Quote
BrickSev Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Picked up the new aat yesterday. Despite its small size, I really like it. Or as jar jar would put it, "Mesa tinkin dis set is bombad!" I was thinking to get it to add to my small Droid army (I'm a Clone Army fan, so I don't buy a lot of Separatist sets ) but I read several negative comments. Being too small and thus "off scale" was one of them. Honestly the price is not high so I could give it a try. I even thought about the Battle Droid carrier but then I realized I'd need at least a couple of them to make a decent addition to an army and since I have already so many sets on the "to buy list" I didn't put in among the priority sets Quote
Csacsa234 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 My TIE Advanced Prototype finally arrived today, it's a real beauty, i think it's the best looking TIE's in LEGO form, the new round 6x6 clipped pieces give it the perfect form with a lots of neat building techniques and awesome minifigure (I'm looking at you Inquisitor). I can only recommend this set! Quote
BigJoe Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) I still haven't seen the new sets out and it is really making me mad. I really want the Shadow trooper set and maybe one or two in the imperial Stormtrooper sets. (all goin into my Clone army. yes I know that might not be correct but until they come out with stormtroopers with altered alien designs they are all clones to me) And i'm sorry for keeping everyone waiting on my Customs pics. I have been really busy lately. Will get them on ASAP My TIE Advanced Prototype finally arrived today, it's a real beauty, i think it's the best looking TIE's in LEGO form, the new round 6x6 clipped pieces give it the perfect form with a lots of neat building techniques and awesome minifigure (I'm looking at you Inquisitor). I can only recommend this set! What i love about this set and WHY i want it is because of the Inquisitor and the fact it comes with an Imperial TIE pilot as well just in case you want to use the TIE but have the Inquisitor on the ground leading forces. He will still me commanded by Darth Malgus just like all other Sith/Imperial forces Edited January 13, 2015 by BigJoe Quote

Before I have to assemble the more recent troopers Btw, I built a Shadow Troopers pack and all I can tell you is: get them when you have the chance. The Shadow Guards are not very detailed (no back or leg printing) but Shadow Troopers are amazing Quote

Do you think i should put the imperials all under Malgus since he is my oldest Sith I have? Or should i leave the troopers with my clone army and HOPE something else comes out later for imperial since i put AT-AT drivers and TIE Pilots into the clone catagory Quote
MattSTC Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I bought the Death Star at smyths toys when they had a 20% offer on all toys so should of been £274 paid £218. Back of the net! Quote
BigJoe Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I placed an order on Lego shop and the SW sets are 5 Imperial Troop Transports, 3 Shadow Troopers packs and 1 Hailfire droid. However I run into a sort of system bug. I got the order confirmation page with its number, but my order does not appear in the order status and I didn't get email. I called the Customer service and they can't find my order but it is listed in my VIP account history (only the points redeemed) Very strange. They told me to call them tomorrow and they'll sort it out. The transaction on my card got the authorization, though. Beside when I added items to the "bag" the Flower Cart set was not added and the points were not doubled (I was eligible for that promotion too). They say they will fix it too but it's a very strange phenomenon. Rough day for Lego Shop site, it seems. Fingers crossed, I can't wait to add those Minifigures to my growing army. With them I should reach 157 Clone Troopers/Stormtroopers :) EDIT: The problem appears to have been solved. My Grand (well not that grand lol) Brick Army will get its reinforcements soon I always throw my Snow Troopers into the mix with my army. I'm still wondering if I really should through my old republic troopers into it as well Quote

I'm still wondering if I really should through my old republic troopers into it as well Sure, why not? It's still "Republic design" and they can be Special Ops, or specialist troopers. They also have nice heavy weapons Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 75032 X-Wing Fighter for half price. Quote

BrickSev Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I have Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine already, but Malgus out ranks them all Well like any "respectable" lol Sith they would fight to "out rank" the others. It's what they always do Now that I mentioned it, I was actually thinking to determine the outcome of the "brick stories" I make like they were a sort of "table game/rpg" (namely dices and stats, just to add some variety) but even using existing mechanics it's a colossal task. But I'm wandering Malgus is indeed a "rarer" Minifugure. There will be other Vader and Palpatine but another Malgus is not so likely. From a "collecting point of view" that makes him a good choice as "leader" of your army Quote
werpudel Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Wanted to buy 10221, but they've retired it now and the prices on Amazon, ebay and elsewhere are already going through the roof :( Quote
