kyreii Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I'm going to a local brick selling event this weekend. SW sets I'm picking up are: Mos Eisley Cantina (full set) Mos Eisley Cantina parts (just the Cantina) Death Star Hooray for plastic crack! Quote
Vectormatic Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Never received the Shuttle and no further word from the seller... What an a... Got the money back from Paypal after 10 days, though. Good to hear that, i remember reading the original "purchase" in this thread. Quote
backstop13 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Thanks! And thats for the SD or the SSD... 10300 right? Thats a great price I'd gladly pay... They are selling for 1k€ plus here... Too much for me, think I have to wait for a re-release from LEGO or do my own... Never received the Shuttle and no further word from the seller... What an a... Got the money back from Paypal after 10 days, though. But I got the 10225 save and sound... A whole bunch of loose bricks, all like new and neatly sealed in small boxes inside the behemoth of the outer box.. Can't wait to start sorting the parts out and start building this weekend. It was for the 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer. Unfortunately the seller backed out and said he didn't want to part with it any longer. At least he communicated it to me up front before I paid him. I think I may bricklink one using the Light Bley color instead of the original grey color. The question is should I bricklink the SD or the Falcon first? Decisions decisions... Glad you got your money back. I've heard great things about the Shuttle Quote
Vectormatic Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 (edited) Just went into town for another two 75078s (i love the Rebels imperial stuff, and i think these will be retiring SOON), turns out they had 15% off all toys, so i picked up an extra Shadow Troopers battlepack as well, they wont be joining the Lothal garrison, but they will stand proudly among the rest of my Imperial Army Plastic Crack indeed, im just happy (well, my wallet is) that they didnt have the FO Tie polybags :P Edited November 12, 2015 by vectormatic Quote
hallonsylt Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Never received the Shuttle and no further word from the seller... What an a... Got the money back from Paypal after 10 days, though. I've had a similar situation. Could not get in contact with the seller, so I got my money back from paypal. His wife later contacted me and said he got hospitalized, suddenly I felt really bad instead. Quote
H_Solo Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Yeah well these things happen... I dealt with A LOT of people on the net and its always different... Some are great to deal with (like you would think about yourself) some are "difficult" and some are just plain rude... And of course theres the sudden illness type, guess you can never really estimate whats coming... My gut tells me that this was a scam... But thats all in the past. Thanks to Paypal! Quote
JPN366 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Got another 75088 Senate Commando Troopers battle pack. My son already had one, but he took everything including the figures apart and mixed them in to his LEGO mad scientist lab. Quote
JPN366 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Technically not a purchase, but I got 2 mini X-Wings at TRU. Quote
Artemis78 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Got a 2013 A wing for 10€, pretty happy to finally having Admiral Ackbar :3 Quote

rollermonkey Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Put the FO TIE together last night. Kind of underwhelmed by it, and wondering why a couple people couldn't figure out where the red stickers went? Quote

rollermonkey Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 We knew, there were just extras. Ah, I only got one sheet. Quote
JPN366 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Ah, I only got one sheet. There are either extra red stickers or the instructions don't tell you where to put all of them. Quote
MartinCliffe Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Really? My sheet only came with 4 stickers, the two for the round tiles on the wings, and the two red rectangles for the sloped bits of the right strangely-shaped piece between the cockpit and the wing. Quote

Kind of underwhelmed by it, and wondering why a couple people couldn't figure out where the red stickers went? Why were you underwhelmed, price? piece count? detail? what would need to be changed for you to be properly whelmed? (just curious, i might want to pick it up eventually myself) Quote

(just curious, i might want to pick it up eventually myself) Price is too high, i got myself one for 50€ on amazon and i definitely wouldn't have paid more for it. For 50€ it's a nice set and the minifigs, the TIE fighter pilot esp are awesome, my favourite of the EP VII series so far, topped only by Rey Quote

I had the same feeling on the tie prototype, i have to actively remind myself i only payed €30 for it to not feel bad Quote

I got 4 red rectangles, several other people did too. I got my TIE at midnight on Force Friday at TRU. Quote

Commander_Rob Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Finally bit the bullet and bought Poe's X-Wing. Quote
Cyanide-Tipped Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I bought my wife the set #75102 Poe's X-Wing Fighter. It'll be her gift for Christmas. :) It's awesome finding a life mate that enjoys Legos and SW sets as much as I do. I might get us the set #7962 "UCS" Pod Racer set for us to make together (also for Christmas). Quote

(just curious, i might want to pick it up eventually myself) I've built four non-mini-scale TIEs in the past 12 months, 9492, 75095, 75082 and this. This build was simply the least interesting/satisfying, IMO. I liked the way the wings locked into the pylons on the others better, and that's a big factor. The bottom turret being missing is certainly not helpful either, since it's one of the most important performance upgrades for the new TIEs. The price is certainly not helpful, though. The piece count isn't a big deal to me, and it looks fine otherwise. The FO Officer and Crew Member will be moving to my FO Transport to act as the pilot and pop-up gunner so that the Stormtroopers can all occupy the landing bay, so that's a plus. Ditto. Only 4 stickers on my sheet: two red rectangles and 2 round black wing hubs. Quote
