Death & K.jpg

Just bought and built K-2SO (75120) and Death Trooper (75121) buildable figures. They are great. The Trooper's not the most innovative stuff, but looks really menacing. K-2SO is just great and had some nice nuances during the build, lots of sub-assembly within all stages of the build. Love both sets.

Visited the flea market today and bought two old Phase II Clone Troopers (7655). They were around 3.5$ each so it was a nice find, since those minifigures are rare nowdays. I would have bought more, but my wallet is empty right now, and I also wanna focus on Empire/Rebel stuff for now.

I snagged the tydirium on Amazon when it was momentarily $70, felt pretty happy with that.  And man Lego has really stepped up their build quality with these sets, much more solidly built than older ones.  And the minifigs look fantastic.

I got the First Order battlepack as an early Christmas present today. My first Ep.7 set, I wasn't planning on buying any. I must say the storm troopers are pretty awesome. I built a heavy gun for one and a baton for the other. The officer's head is great, finally have a dark brown head besides Lando. I put it on my clone wars Mace Windu, I know the likeness isn't spot on, but anything is better than clone wars Mace face.  The other dude is cool, too.

I found 75156 Krennic's Imperial Shuttle priced at $44.99 sale price at a store. Normally I don't buy myself large Lego sets in the month or two before Christmas (especially only three days before Christmas!) But it just so happened my grandparents gifted me exactly $50 at a Christmas party a few weeks back, and I was planning on using that money to save up for 75156 anyways, which I probably was going to buy right after Christmas day... So I decided to jump the gun and buy it now while I know it is on discount instead of waiting after the holidays knowing that it could return back to its normal price. I consider it a my Christmas gift from my Grandparents then; and being on a college student budget finding the set half off was actually a blessing.

JDbricks, I wasn't planning on collecting Force Awakens either, but trust Lego to make me go back on my promises!  I got a deal on the Millennium Falcon last week, which I planned to (and did) convert back to an OT Falcon with Round Dish and some LBG Wedge Plates.  But then Finn, Rey, Old Han, Chewie and BB-8 were getting lonely on the shelf by themselves, so yesterday I picked up 75139 Battle on Takodana on sale for $40.  Not too bad for Kylo Ren, Finn, Maz and a couple of stormtroopers, and the build was actually pretty fun.  I used the second Finn head to convert one of the Stormtroopers into FN-2187.  I'll probably Bricklink Poe and Phasma - my shelf and wallet can't take too many more Force Awakens sets.

Smiths Marketplace; Salt Lake City, Utah. I don't know if the same price is at other Smiths in the nation, but it should be worth checking out.

Got set 75150. Way too pricey in my region but I am loving it! The ships are pretty big considering the vehicles in question. Though I was surprised to see the A-Wing is longer than the TIE. I always thought of them as the smallest of the bunch.

It is also my first Vader minifigure and I am loving it too, the dark side oozes from it heh heh.

It's a neat set indeed, I love it. You're right on the price, but it feels quite substantial for its parts
