essel Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Finally grabbed 75334 Obi-Wan Kenobi Vs. Darth Vader thanks to a deal bringing down its price below €30, which was the limit I had set myself. Somehow, this is the first Star Wars set I've purchased since 75341 UCS Sandspeeder during Black Friday. Now looking forward to the May the Fourth, perhaps I'll be tempted by the rumoured UCS X-wing, depending on the threshold to get the GWP. Quote
alvajames Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 My most recent purchases were more than one, I bought a month ago. Duel on Mustafar: The LEGO Star Wars Duel on Mustafar 75269 set recreates the dramatic lightsaber battle between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi from Revenge of the Sith. The set includes two minifigures with lightsabers and a lava droid build. Anakin's Jedi Starfighter: The LEGO Star Wars Anakin's Jedi Starfighter 75214 set includes Anakin Skywalker minifigure with a blue lightsaber, as well as a buildable Jedi Starfighter with spring-loaded shooters. Yoda's Hut: The LEGO Star Wars Yoda's Hut 75208 set includes a Yoda minifigure with a green lightsaber, as well as a buildable hut with several accessories and features. Luke Skywalker's X-Wing Fighter: The LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker's X-Wing Fighter 75301 set includes a Luke Skywalker minifigure with a green lightsaber, as well as a buildable X-Wing Fighter with opening wings and firing missiles. Kylo Ren's Shuttle: The LEGO Star Wars Kylo Ren's Shuttle 75256 set includes Kylo Ren minifigure with a red crossguard lightsaber, as well as several other minifigures and a detailed shuttle build. SpaceM Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 A few years ago I bought Jerac's tie bomber instruction, and all parts from Bricklink. Today, I received the official Lego Tie Bomber 75347. I still did not decide why i purchased it... - for my own pleasure of building a smaller version of Jerac's masterpiece? - for investment? (I got -30%) - for my son, so that he does not play with mine? - to make my wife angry cause Lego starts to take too much space? I'm not sure how long the box will remain sealed. Quote
Big_Daddy Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 ^Same, in a way I have plenty of clones and stormtroopers and the like, and it dawned on me that I have enough to fill older battle packs that are usually very cheap when you purchase them without figures on the second hand market. So now I have the 75280 501st legion BP and the 75134 BF1 imperial BP. I wanted to do the same with the 75165 stormtooper and deathtrooper BP but I stumbled upon a complete one for cheap. So I bought that one complete. And on a bricklink order I bought a 5005508 A-Wing pilot polybag and a 187th legion clone because I have this thing where I want my clones and stormtroopers in groups of four. Scalpers must love people like me... Quote
AstroFalcon Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Watched the prequels for the very first time recently and bought my first Star Wars set: the most recent 501st battle pack (75345). It was reduced to £13.50 and I thought that was a good price. I'm pretty amazed about the level of the detail on the figures and I'm jealous that Lego doesn't do Castle battle packs anymore. I will have to resist the urge to get more SW stuff though, I already spend enough money and this theme looks insanely collectible, not even mentioning how easy army building is. Quote
ARC2149Nova Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 So far in 2023, I've bought 2 of the recent 501st Specialists Battle Pack, the AT-TE, Mando's N1, and today I finally picked up the 2021 X-Wing. With the 501st packs, I was finally able to make my OC 501st squad using just using slight variations of the default figures. I love the AT-TE and company, and I wish Mando's N1 was better designed to incorporate an astromech droid (so far I'm holding off on buying an R5-D4 figure). Never had a LEGO X-Wing until today and I love it! The cannons on the 2012 version are better imo, but this one is perfect (and Walmart sells it for $40, so extra bonus! ). Quote

I kind of want to see that squad, as I also made a squad using those figures (though really I just tried to make an ARC trooper and standard trooper, and used the spare parts for a different heavy and a sort of infiltrator-looking trooper). Oh, yeah, I purchased that pack a couple days ago alongside the Well of Souls from indiana jones. It's my third copy, and third LSW purchase of the year, I love the set! $20 is a little steep, but I can't pass up those excellent trooper designs, wide range of customizability with all the accessories, and a battle pack side build that's actually canon and not some random speeder (even if it's a bit small.) I almost always build something else with the side build parts and then scrap it into my parts collection after a bit, but these ones are going to get kept around until/unless I get my hands on a more size-accurate AV7. TeddytheSpoon Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Bought my first of the 'droid sculpture' sets in BD-1. Nearly bought the Andor set as I needed to spend about that amount to get to the current GWP threshold, but figured I'd get more enjoyment out of Beedee. Hopefully the Ferrix set pops up on discount somewhere soon. Also added Cody's helmet to the collection at SWCE. Quote
Johnny1360 Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Managed to pick up 75348, Fang vs Tie set today at my local Target, a bit early I guess because I don't even see it on LEGO's website yet, probably work on it tonight, yay. Quote
Big_Daddy Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I'm trying to collect all non-ST battle packs, it's going quite well I'd say. Lately I've bought 75088 senate commando troopers, 75089 Geonosis phase 2 clones and 75207 Solo imperials. Apart from like five battle packs I should be able to achieve my goal for reasonable prices. Big_Daddy Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Got a good deal on the 75137 carbon freezing chamber. My Dark Ages are becoming undone... Quote
Big_Daddy Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 And now that 75262 Imperial Dropship remake. I've come to tolerate those weird stormie helmets. Quote
unclejeffie Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 Managed my hands on the ucs razor crest for 368 euro. And a first edition millenium falcon for 20 at a flea market Quote
The Stud Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 Just got back from college on Friday and since I had a ton of mail waiting for me at home, I figured I would do a rundown of everything I've gotten so far in 2023. Two 75345 501st Specialist Battle Packs, one of which is still sealed. The 75344 Boba Fett Microfighter I got for free with Target Circle rewards. 30654 X-Wing Polybag. Two more 75320 Snowtrooper Battle Packs, bringing my total to 6. (I got these two with a $25 gift card I won from a raffle, so I essentially got these two for the price of one.) 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training on sale from Amazon. 75329 Death Star Trench Run Diorama with an open box and sealed bags for under retail on eBay. 5002938 Stormtrooper Sergeant polybag from eBay. 5002939 The Phantom polybag from eBay. Various Bricklink part orders, including a General Hux figure, lightsaber pieces, parts to modify my Ezra Bridger minifigures and parts to do custom figures of Rebels Maul and the Seventh Sister. 75150 Vader's TIE Advanced vs. A-Wing Starfighter used from Bricklink. This is the big and exciting purchase: I got sealed copies of almost all of the Rebels sets I was missing for reasonable prices (relative to what they normally go for anyway) and cheap shipping from a seller in Gibraltar. This includes 75078 Imperial Troop Transport, 75141 Kanan's Speeder Bike, 75083 AT-DP, 75084 Wookiee Gunship, 75106 Imperial Assault Carrier, 75158 Rebel Combat Frigate and 75157 Captain Rex's AT-TE. Didn't realize I had gotten so much until writing it all out. Of course, this was all spread out over the course of four months and I got deals on a lot of it. I'm especially happy that my Rebels collection is almost complete. I'm a big fan of the series and it was my entry point into the franchise, though I somehow ended up not getting any of the sets when they were out. I wanted to rectify that mistake before the Ahsoka series starts later this year and probably drives up the value of this subtheme even more. At this point, excluding microfighters and polybags, I'm only missing the TIE Advanced Prototype set, the blind Kanan minifigure and the Ezra Bridger figure with the cadet helmet; all of which I should hopefully be ordering within the next month. Mandalorianknight Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 (edited) Arriving today, I got: The Throne Room diorama: My favorite scene in cinema history, I HAD to get this set. The Andor set: I went back and forth a couple times on this one, but in the order that actually went through, I did manage to get the price down to almost $40 between discounts and VIP points, which makes it worth it to me. All 4 of the freebies: X-wing polybag, spring polybag thing (No idea what I'm doing with that), the coin (which looks very nice, actually) and the death star 2. I was planning on selling the DS2, but looking at the build... I might actually build it. Say what you will about it- I certainly didn't like it when it was revealed- but honestly now that I have it, it looks much better than, say, the lars kitchen. I think if it had just come with an exclusive Jerjerrod or something, people would have loved it. Edited May 7, 2023 by Mandalorianknight Quote
Per_SW Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 I did expand my collection quite a bit in the last few months, starting from when I managed to finally buy a couple of the Clone Blister Packs (last september, after many months of it perpetually out of stock) and the Republic Tank (wonderful figs, disappointing build, still wondering how to mod it). Then followed the Mando N1 but only because I managed to nab it for 31€ between coupons and other discounts, one wonderful AT-TE bought finally using some VIP points and then with the new year came a couple of 501st specialist BPs and the Slave I microfighter (which I bought mainly for the updated Boba Fett but weirdly enough ticks every box for what I wanted from such a set). Now I'm waiting for the Ferrix Tac-Pod to come in the mail, another set which I would not have bought if not for the VIP discount from May 4th, although I loved the Andor show. Now we patiently wait for the moment to spend on the Bomber, Interceptor+Fang and maybe the spider-thing, to be repurposed as a separatist vehicle. Quote
Big_Daddy Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Still keeping it small scaled, this week I got myself several more battle packs: 8015 Assassin droids (luckily these are really cheap) 75034 Death Star troopers (this was actually a pretty neat set) 75035 Kashyyyk troopers (I really wanted this one, probably because of the upcoming swamp speeder) 75036 Utapau troopers (I expect that this one was the most expensive of them all) Only six to go... carpandean Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Slave I - 20th Anniversary Edition (75243) Added it to my growing collection: Jango Fett's Slave I (7153) Slave I - 3rd Edition (8097) Boba Fett's Starship (75312) Boba Fett's Starship Microfighter (75344) At least one advent calendar's Slave I Next will either be the 2nd edition or possibly the UCS (saving up). ARC2149Nova Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Bought the Fang vs Interceptor set. Both were much larger than I expected. Glad to finally have my favorite Starfighter on the shelf. Quote
MKJoshA Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 I just bought 9500 Sith Fury-class Interceptor for $170 on eBay. Complete with all minifigures. Since Darth Malgus is going for $150 himself that seemed like a good deal for the whole set. Quote
McMurder_them_softly Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Picked up the UCS X-Wing. Really excited to build this one, especially given the issues with the stand and seeing what it is like for myself. Quote
PRbrickbuilder Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Built the TIE Fighter 75300. What a nice build! I never had a TIE ship, the end result is great, and the model is quite heavy for the size! I might transform it in a TIE Striker in the future. Quote
McMurder_them_softly Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Got the 2 new dioramas as well (Throne Room and Speeder chase). They seem much nicer in person and local LEGO store had some leftover promos! Quote
