Visited the lego store on Friday and got:

10225 R2-D2 whos about half built so far

7929 Battel of Naboo

7961 Sith Infiltrator

7964 Republic Frigate

and 3 TC14 figures

Then I discovered the local Co-op store was having a holiday sale with 15% off and with some older sets on the shelves I now have:

7930 Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship

7869 Battle of Geonosis

9490 Droid Escape

8097 Slave 1

After this extravanganza I now have lots of Lego but no money :) still thats what savings are for.

Some of these sets will be parted out via Bricklink once I get the holidays over and the store sorted out.

No more Star Wars for a while ..... until the next wave of sets hit the shelves ...... wallet squeaking already!!

I was lucky enough to pick up the 7676 Republic Attack Gunship a few weeks ago for a great price (used but in great condition). It was much larger than I was expecting. Lots of great play features for the kids.

For the May 4-5th promo, Star Wars Lego-wise I ended up getting:

- 28 Clone trooper battle packs

- 10 Elite Clone trooper battle packs

- 7 Swamp Speeders

- X-Wing

- Millenium Falcon

- 2 Sith Infiltrators

- Ewok Attack

- Republic Frigate

- Anakin's Jedi Interceptor

- 15 TC-14s

Now I totally regret buying all those BPs a couple of weeks before the promo.

That's a nice haul. Do you get your kids to build them or do you do it yourself?

One of my sons built the SSD by himself and I did the other two.

Guys, this might seem to be an odd question but I'm planning to get a relatively cheap Star Wars set that includes the most iconic figures of the Star Wars series. Does somebody know which set I should get?

I was thinking in the direction of a 15-40 dollar retail price. (Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, a stormtrooper, C3PO, R2D2,...)

Thx in advance!

Luke's Landspeeder would probably be your best choice- its $25 and you get a nice vehicle, plus five minigifures that are some of the most important characters from the OT.

Excellent suggestion, Thx for the quick reply. Is this already released?

Yes, its been out for a few years though so it may be hard to find.

Still found it today in an old store not far from where I live. It was still pricy (25 EUR for Luke's Landspeeder) but now I have a nice set that has a lot of the protagonists of the Star Wars series :classic:

I've just built my UCS R2-D2

Here's a shot of him complete and a pic of the bits left (red shaded bits were bits I'd missed, soon fixed that)

Can anyone who has built this confirm if I have too many bits left or did my 2nd look sort it?

Recent orders from S@H was the SSD and Imperial Shuttle (during May the 4th promo weekend), but most recent arrival was a 2nd hand UCS Millenium Falcon (10179) from eBay. Expensive but well worth it I think. Can't wait to get building it.
