Thanks. I recently picked up 10198 Tantive IV so that started my Rebel trooper army.

Yeah, that version "Imperial Inspection" is a very cool set, but REALLY pricey. I recall reading somewhere collectors prize it because the stormtroopers have rare printed legs. Have you heard that?

I'm keeping an eye out for 7166, the 2001 version. I've seen it on BL for $45, which is more in my price range. I'm actually waiting to pull the trigger to see if TLG comes out with a new version to compliment the Endor sets they've released recently.

Agreed, I thought I could get the figs separately then I could purchase the actual set itself, but each of the stormies were $7 each!

It's a good idea to consider getting the 2001 version because it's pretty much the same as the one from 2005, but as you mentioned, a lot cheaper. I think what makes the 2005 one so expensive is of course the ten amazing minifigures, I also heard it was a Wal-Mart exclusive and that a lot of people didn't buy it when it came out (Why wouldn't they want to get the set!?)

Well the chances of lego making an imperial shuttle in 2014 aren't that bad. But you'll have no luck in 2015 due to the fact of the new movie and "rebel" sets. But good luck finding one, I have the imperial dropship back from 2007, and although it's a low-class version of the imperial shuttle, it's still pretty awesome.

I picked up 75007 Republic Assault Ship & Planet Coruscant from Argos yesterday for 1/3 off at £5.99 in UK

Good pickup, Lego never reduce the planet sets to a decent price I hope this deal continues.

Yep, I've got my fingers crossed. You're right, too, if TLG doesn't announce one by this time next year I'm outta luck for a few years; so I'll likely be hunting a copy of 7166 down on ebay.

I've got the 7667, too. That's a great set. I like how the ship can actually drop off the Stormtrooper section and take off again.

Nice purchase, I personally felt that was one of my favourite Battle packs.

Really? I thought it was average- the figs are great and it's always nice to have another speeder, but the tree thing is bleagh

Managed to nab a Jedi Defender-Class Cruiser from the new summer lineup. This is one of the best Star Wars sets that Lego has rolled out in a long, long time. Good price-per-piece ratio, packed with features, incredibly unique, not to mention the GORGEOUS figures... even if you're not an Old Republic fan, you've got to pick this one up

I've just grabbed 3 x Droid Escape (9490) from my local Boots today @ 50% off, I couldn't believe my luck!! I just love the Sandtroopers

Just got a Fury Interceptor at Target. I generally only collect sets that are from the films, but it was on clearance for $63, and it just looks cool.

I also picked up a Clone vs. Droideka pack for $10.

Now I play the waiting game till VIP double points and get all the AOTC summer sets.

Picked up Duel on Geonosis from the local Lego store. It looked like the big sets were selling down well. I'd say the Tank Droid was the weakest in terms of just how many were on the shelf.

I placed an order of mostly non-SW stuff this morning, but threw in another copy of the Series 2 Planets set 9679 AT-ST & Endor, since it was clearanced and all and I can always use more AT-ST drivers.

Pretty close (it was a Toys 'R' Us exclusive).

Aw yes, that makes even more sense considering TRU raised the price of the set making it even more expensive, thanks for the answer.

Picked up a new RGS the other day, plus a bunch of City sets. Was floored by the price increase though - £110, compared to what I remember being £70?

I just purchased (75017) Duel on Geonosis - it's a bit pricey for the size of the set but I took advantage of the current Argos 3 for 2 deal which made it a bit more reasonable. It's definitely my favourite set of the new wave, it's sooo nice to see a new non-CW Yoda and Count Dooku

went to the opening of the first Lego store in Austria (Vienna) last Friday. And, alas, they didn't have ANY discounts or offers... TRU next door had 20 percent off of all Lego sets, so I finally bought the UCS Imperial Shuttle :)

the only give-away at the Lego opening was some polybag mini-set from the Chima-line. dissapointing :(
