CisFran Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Which is your favourite/which do you think is the best? for me, 9498 (green one) is the best of the three as it has the most number of parts and also much more sturdier than the other two. Plus the dark green color is lovely... Quote
lettuceman44 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I got the UCS X wing last week. Finished everything excepted for the canopy stickers. I need to get a sharp knife first to cut the sticker. I ordered the B wing after, but waiting for it to arrive, and I got the desert skiff yesterday. Will build it when I get home. Quote
LibraryBoy Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I picked up the A-Wing fighter and the Sith Trooper/Republic Trooper army builder set over the weekend (the latter because it was on sale at The Lego Store). Haven't bought a Star Wars set in a really long time, but I liked both of these. I thought the A-Wing was a particularly fun build that managed to really resemble its movie counterpart, and Han and the Admiral were nice bonuses beside. Now I'm thinking of getting the Desert Skiff set... another good build (I already helped my son assemble his after his birthday a few months back), and a good assortment of minifigs. Quote
brick_butterfly Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 The A-Wing, Republic Gunship (current wave), Starhopper, Y-Wing, Battle of Hoth, Droid escape, Death Star and Pre Vizsla's Manalorian Fighter for my husband for Christmas. They were all on his want list, I hope enjoys the builds :) Quote
Chills Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Wow, that's quite a haul for your husband. Lucky man to have a wife like you! Quote
brick_butterfly Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 ^ Thanks! *blushes* I am still in the process of adding more to the pile too, my wardrobe is beginning to ressemble a LEGO stock room :) Quote
MandaloretheLesser Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 At last I got 7879 Hoth Echo Base which is smaller than i thought but the minifigs more than make up for it. Now to get the Battle of Hoth and the 2010 AT-AT walker and i guess while i am at it try and find a few more cheap Hoth battle packs off bricklink. Also a friend gave me a mini build set from a few years back 4489 AT-AT. Quote
kermit Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Got an early christmas present from my aunt , another ewok village and of course im not allowed to open it till christmas. That is the one drawback of having an aunt who likes to shop way early so that she doesnt have to bother with the rush in december. Quote
naf Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 6208 B-Wing Fighter - Good deal on ebay, used but in perfect condition with box and full sticker sheet 8038 The Battle of Endor - Another good ebay deal, NISB for $100 + shipping, I never complain when I get a retired set close to retail. Bought it to go with the Ewok Village, which I plan on purchasing this month. Double points!! Quote
brick_butterfly Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I ordered Palpatines Arrest this morning to add to the Christmas stack and I have to say I am finding all the SW sets rather exciting :) Quote
naf Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I also just ordered the 7965 Millennium Falcon from Amazon, they have it for $103.19 right now! I was really on the fence with this one, I've been eyeing it for the better part of a year now. I knew I wanted a Lego Falcon, and I while I like this version, but there are some pretty big inaccuracies (size and location of the cockpit, etc). However, I'm also not going to shell out big money for the retired UCS version. I decided to pull the trigger on this, as this is a good price. I feel like this set is due to retire soon, and who knows if and when Lego with remake it. It's also Lego, so I can try to mod it to make it a little more movie accurate. http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Star-Wars-Millennium-Falcon/dp/B004P95ABG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381332150&sr=8-1&keywords=lego+millenium+falcon+7965%5C Quote
Steamtrain72 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Before it will be retired, I picked up Jabbas Palace 9516 from Amazon for 99,99 €. Now I am in pursuit for the Rancor Pit 75005. In addition to that I am bricklinking Millenium Falcon 10179 and Star Destroyer 10030. Quote
mrq1975 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I bought 75020 Jabba's Sail Barge at a local toy store yesterday. They had a 20% discount which always is nice :) Now I have all the 2013 OT sets and can start counting down to 2014 ... Quote

I got this one for my birthday and it was purchased from ebay about $100 brand new. In my opinion paying $100 for it is a steal. You are right about the fact that it needs modding, but it doesn't take many pieces and it was quite fun modifying it for me. Quote
henning1010 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Got Jabbas Palace for my birthday! Nice set, great figures. Used the chance to mod it right away and give it a bigger base plate with the tower directly attached to the palace. I think that there is a Rancor coming right aroung the corner Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Latest acquisitions: 75015 Corporate Alliance Tank 75017 Duel on Geonosis 9497 Republic Striker-class Starfighter Quote
Scorpiox Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I've been dropping hints to the relevant parties about some LEGO for my birthday on Sunday, namely, the recent Homing Spider Droid. Quote
pranas Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Was visiting my parents a few weeks back and headed on over to the Woodbridge LEGO Store. Picked up: 75001 Republic Troopers vs. Sith Troopers, was on clearance for under $10, probably wouldn't have picked it up otherwise 75000 Clone Troopers vs. Droidekas, wasn't on clearance but rang up as $9.99 anyways, I'm not complaining 75017 Duel on Geonosis, a new non-Clone Wars Yoda was too much to pass up And snagged myself a free Clone Trooper Lieutenant! Sadly probably the last LEGO sets I'll be getting until my birthday and/or Christmas because I have to spend my money on stupid adult things like rent and food. Sigh... Quote
Darth Dino Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Hi i allways loved the Y-Wing, much more than X, A or B. I found the actual Y-Wing too expensive, 50€ and just at TRU and S@H. I got from the latest TRU coupons 20% off a Lego set and i got for 50€ 66411 Superpack A good deal! Dino Quote
Lobot Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I finally gave in and ordered the UCS B-Wing Following the dismal 'May the Forth' promo (or lack of it, in the UK!) I was determined to wait for a decent sale as a matter of principle, but as it's now discontinued in the US I felt that time was running out to grab it, especially with double VIPs at the moment. I just hope it actually looks better than the photos I've seen of it. It has to be said, I'm fairly underwhelmed with the Lego ordering recently....I spent 50 minutes on hold on Friday night before giving up, and the website today was really struggling to do anything! Quote
Scorpiox Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I probably sound like a right greedy bastard, buying myself yet more nice things on my birthday, but I just couldn't pass this deal up! 75004: Z-95 Headhunter, all complete, brand new from Amazon for the meagre price of £22.49! That's 44% off the RRP, I'm pretty damn pleased. Quote
CF Mitch Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Oooohh, I feel so blessed! Today I attended LEGOworld and one of the convention stands where one could by (second hand) LEGO products, was selling a blue Clone Lieutenant! I paid €17,50 for it. Besides that, I also purchased 12 Little Arms Shop Clone Trooper rifles Regards, Mitch Quote

intimmydation Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Bought the series 4 planets a few weeks back. And today just ordered the Ewok Village and Hoth Echo Base for double points. Quote
