Robert_88 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar. I couldn't resist :) Quote
grymg Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 My stuff finally came in the mail yesterday. Quote
GandalfofHoth Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Finally decided to get the BARC speeder from earlier this year , I was trying to decide weather to bricklink rex or get the whole set, and I finally decided to get the set, and I also decided to pick up the Y-wing from last year while I was getting the BARC. Legoman123 Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Just bought the Droid Escape from the 2012 winter wave. Quote
donbarca Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 just got the corporate alliance tank droid and the clone troopers vs droidekas (my first droidekas. wow they are cool) those two set work nice together for a little battle:) Quote
iconq Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 I recently got a Death Star and Super Star Destroyer on sale, marked down to 280EUR. It is expensive, but worth it. Looking forward to the build.. Quote
helicaon Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 sigh - ordered the BARC speeder, mandalorian speeder and AT-RT yesterday from S@H after dithering for ages about whether to get a big set or just some little ones to qualify for the Clone lieutenant.... confirmed the order, then it occurred to me I hadn't noticed him being added... I was all set to complain until I noticed that the offer ended on the 17th... Quote
grymg Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 On sale for $29.99 at TRU this week, came with a free tree. Quote
jindianajonz Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 A couple weeks ago I snagged the last AT-TE at my local K-mart- it had been mispriced at $40. They haven't restocked any since :( Quote
charu0802 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) I was looking out for LEGO bricks India and then I chanced upon a toy store. I was trying to send a LEGO toy to my nephew, he is a huge fan of LEGO Star wars. After looking out for so many choices, I finally selected Star Wars 9493 X-Wing Star fighter. So that is my latest Star Wars purchase. I am glad my nephew loved his gift. Edited November 20, 2013 by charu0802 Quote
Scorpiox Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 A few days ago I purchased the recent Mandalorian Speeder on a whim, and I am not disappointed. It's a nice little vehicle, with exquisite minifigures - the only blemish being Maul's ugly and over-sized legs, which won't be too difficult to replace. Quote
BrickG Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Well I would have gotten the Jabbas Barge and Battle of Hoth but as usual I'm incredibly unlucky. Saw the Barge for $89.99 at ToysRus.com. It can stack with a $20 coupon to make it $69.99. Decided to go to a store instead since SUPPOSEDLY ToysRus stores are having crazy good deals like the Battle of Hoth for $30. Well... as usual mine doesn't. Everything was pretty much normal price or on a "sale" that was the normal price ($120 Barge). So I go home and figure I'll just order the barge from their online store. It had been about 1 hour. Suddenly the price went up $20. So I get nothing. Quote
kibosh Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Managed to order the $69.99 Sail Barge from Toys R Us for in store pickup. Just brought it home. Can't wait to give it to my son for Christmas! Quote
BrickG Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Found a ToysRus that actually had the sale. Got 3 Battle of Hoths. They should easily pay for themselves by selling just one later. I'll probably open two mainly for the minifigures. I'm still raging over the $69.99 Sail Barge I missed by a few minutes... I really want the minifigures in that set.... Quote
Lobot Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I took advantage of the 'Early' VIP Brick Friday offers last night, which were worth staying up for. I ordered: UCS X-Wing (10240) for £152.99 + a further 10% off which ended up as £137.69 UCS B-Wing (10227) for £135.99 + a further 10 off which ended up as £122.39 I was quite pleased with a discount of 20% and 30% respectively, it almost makes up for the (lack of) May 4th offers in the UK Quote
LegoFjotten Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I jumped on the UCS X-Wing today too. Had decided I wasn't going to get it since I found it so overpriced, but 20% off made it liveable. Also got these new-in-box sets for less than the MSRP of the 9516. 10215 Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter. 9516 Jabba's Palace 75019 AT-TE 9500 Sith Fury-class Interceptor Will probably sell the 75019 and 9500, keep the UCS and use 9516 for parts. LegoFjotten Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Where ? From Finn.no, private seller. Seller had multiple sets/packages, but they're all gone now I'm afraid. Quote
stan Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Damn missed the b-wing on s@h any chance it will be back? Quote
LegoFjotten Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Damn missed the b-wing on s@h any chance it will be back? I'd say chances are slim. They probably cleared out the last of their inventory. Quote
rollermonkey Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 ^The B-Wing has been available online in a couple places for less than MSRP. I posted about it when I got mine. Anyways. 9492 TIE Fighter Tie Bomber w/ Asteroid field 9500 Sith Fury-Class Interceptor Since the 9500 is out of stock, I placed it as two orders. That would bring me up to 4 Clone Lieutenants. :) Quote
ACPin Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Got some sets planning to use for future MOCs but look at all the free stuff! AC Quote
CJBERRY Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Nice. My Duel On Geonosis arrived yesterday, picked it up when it was super cheap on Amazon. Not sure whether to keep it or not yet, I want the figures but not too bothered abut the rest Quote
dsoffers Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 (After reading through all the pages of this topic, I decided to register and join this great forum.. ) A couple of months ago I was a bit bored at home and renembered having a 16 year old Technics set (8428 Concept Car) that I never finished building.. I started looking at the current LEGO catalogue and stumbled upon the UCS R2-D2 and after showing that to my mom she said "Oh, I'll get you that then for Christmas". That really pushed me back into LEGO as I figured I couldn't let R2 sit there on its own. I was gonna start out slowly but in the last month or so I bought these (in this order): * (75004) Z-95 Headhunter (LEGO Store) * (7965) Millennium Falcon (Amazon.co.uk, ended up saving 55€ compared to the LEGO Store price in Belgium) * (9493) X-Wing Starfighter (Amazon.co.uk, saved about 20€ on this one) * (75003) A-Wing Starfighter (LEGO Store) * (9492) TIE Fighter (Dreamland in Belgium, got a 10% discount) And my mom's also getting me the 75000 Clone Troopers vs Droidekas pack after I mentioned that I like the Droidekas.. Can't wait for Christmas. By now I decided to not spend any more money on sets this year, and then I receive an email for the VIP Black Friday early offers. Thanks to that I jumped on the 10240 UCS X-Wing as well, didn't want to risk it getting sold out. Can't wait for that to arrive although after reading the review here I'm very afraid of the stickers on this one. The 9493 is currently (and will always be) my Red-6 X-Wing. The Falcon might not be perfect (especially for the lucky people with the UCS version) but I love it, it's my favorite set so far. I even love it so much I'm currently attempting to design Docking Bay 327 in LDD as I feel it deserves a proper display area. But I'll save that for another topic, if anyone's interested. Quote
